Fernando's Mexican Grill

Lovely waitress during a quiet Happy hour. Ordered everything before deadline of 6pm so Happy to enjoy there signature Margarita....so strong actually. Could not even drive after having one and a half drinks ( good thing I had designated driver!!) Had a wonderful seafood appetizer also after the happy hour Taco. No more free chips and salsa now Cost about $4 a serving....( Expected now with inflation!!)

Fantastic food, great flavor in every bite. Customer service was phenomenal! Ruth was quick, efficient and friendly! Atmosphere was family friendly and not busy at all for lunch time!

Im Mexican and I LOVE this restaurant, today we ordered the "Parrillada" , even though was for 1 ppl, we both ate from there and it was more than enough. Under the parrillada, it had like a fuel can fire. That kept the meal warm all the way until the end! Mango Margaritas 100% recommended, I love them! True Mexican with the Chamoy🤤🤤. Great happy hour. Super friendly staff!

If there is something I love about Mexican food, that is mole. I can have it anytime any day. While at Maui a sweet lady took me and my friends to the mall and she said there was this Mexican place in there. Of course, I ordered the mole plate. It was exquisite, rich in flavor; authentic. You will not regret it. They bring you four tortillas on the side and it comes with beans and rice! Oh and I always add a side of Avocado because I love it and I can eat with anything! 💚

Top notch Mexican food. I had the chicken enchiladas, I recommend them. Large portions so split it with a friend assuming you're not a malle hi school athlete. $3 coronas for happy hour. I'll be back. The picture I posted was of the children's size, so you can imagine the adult portion.

I had happy hour tacos and a happy hour margaritas. The tacos came out fast and they were only $2.50 each. The team (servers and hostess) was nice.

Love this place. I always stop in before heading to the movies. Monique always treats me right. My favorite drink here is not on the menu, but she makes me the 'Blendito.' Basically a top-shelf blended margarita chocked full of peppers. Mmmm. Also, the green salsa is my favorite. Just a little bit of spice, but I can kill bowl after bowl of it, for sure.

Had tortas, ceviche, chimichanga, church, and fried ice cream. Had Cadillac margaritas. Food was delicious.

We have been eating here several times a year since 2020. Anytime we have visitors, we usually take them here.

Our server was fantastic and always checked in on us! The Happy Hour Farnando's Margaritas were on point too! Always a chill atmosphere and they always accommodate for our large clan that we bring each time. ❤❤ Mahalo🤙🏽

Such great value. We are staying at nearby hotel and were able to eat for half the price of the hotel restaurant with much better food and friendly service!!!

I was judging this place pretty hard as we entered thinking that there couldn't be good Mexican food on a strip mall in Hawaii. I was very wrong, this was Fantastic! They had some of the best mole I have had in any restaurant across the US. Housemade, authentic, and delicious. The rice and beans were good too. Not trying to say everything was perfect but it was great Mexican food and the Mole, one of the hardest Mexican dishes to make, was amazing!

Fernando's is another hidden gem on Maui. At first glance it looks like a little wholesome restuarant. It's got that Mexican feel to it. The staff are extremely friendly. Store is clean as well as its tables & floors. I noticed that the alcoholic drinks they serve there are quite appealing. By the way, These are the same people from the Maui Marketplace. Home of the incredibly insane delicious monster burrito from ages ago. Memories of being epically satisfied with leftovers to the next day. Everything about Fernando's is unique. The make their own iced tea. I had it with my lunch and really enjoyed the full bodied taste. Their chips are tasty but with no greasy after taste. The salsa are still spicy & hot. Next time I'll ask for the mild version. Well, I tried the ground beef enchiladas with green sauce. The rice and beans really went well. The taste was wonderful! The enchiladas practically melted in my mouth. Trust me! The iced tea will definitely go well with any of their meals. Heck, I'm still digesting my food as I write this. For dessert I had a banana cream cheese rolled in a fried tortilla then dusted with cinnamon with a drizzle of caramel syrup. Overall I feel I got what I paid for and ended up satisfied. Thank you Fernando's and maybe later I'll try one of the monster burritos. I enjoyed coming & eating in another of Maui's hidden gems. I suggest coming to Fernando's and judge for yourself.
