Even as a man, I go there for my acne medications. It's a great place and a great staff. I like Ulta. It's definitely a strength to the City.

Roxanne made my daughters’ ear piercing experience a wonderful memory! She was patient, thorough in her explanation of piercing and after piercing care, and told funny stories to ease their nerves. She was excellent!

awesome store. always carries good beauty products for all price ranges and i prefer it over sephora. the ladies who helped me last night were very patient and friendly - wish i caught their names to give them a mention! would recommend for anyone interested in beauty and wellness.

I booked an appointment at the salon for my daughter. It was just a simple haircut, but her stylist, Bri, was amazing! She went above and beyond! I am so pleased with the service and everyone was very welcoming.

This salon saved my hair! I originally went to the Ulta in Rockford and did not get what I asked for and they cut it way too short. I called over to the Machesney Park location and Ashley fit me in the same day and assured me she would make sure I was satisfied with my hair before I left. I reluctantly went but thought it couldn’t get much worse. Ashley made me feel comfortable instantly and actually listened to what I wanted done to my hair. She then explained it to the stylist Stephani and she got the color right and helped me be okay with the length by adding layers. Ever since then I’ve been going back here to get my hair done and I am happy every time I leave. I will forever be thankful to Ashley and Stephani for fixing my hair and making sure I’m happy before I leave!

Visited the salon on March 20th and had an appointment with Nicol. She took me from highlights to a very beautiful deep red. Literally did such an amazing job and it turned out better than I envisioned!
Her expertise and professionalism made me feel so comfortable. She’s truly amazing, thank you Nicol!

I had not shopped there in years! I'm so glad I decided to visit. I was wowed by the courtesy & surprised with the personal demonstration I was given by a staff member. I will definitely make them my 1st choice in the future.👍🏼

Great selection of everything from hair care to perfume to make up. Took my daughter's and they had a blast looking for stuff and found everything they needed. A bit high priced but they always have deals and coupons through their app!

The customer service Terra has was amazing! I've been hunting at all the hair/makeup shops I can find for a specific brush. Sadly, Ulta also doesn't carry it- but Terra helped me find where to order it! I'm so stunned by this degree of customer service and expertise that I'm 100% coming to Ulta for anything else I need. Made me a loyal customer for sure

I was very impressed with my last visit! Ashley was so helpful I came in and I needed to find a foundation that would match my skin and I’ve been having problems matching it. I told her I was going to be doing events As Disney Queen Elsa and having a lot of pictures taken so she said that the two products did not have any photo flashback. I did some photos the other day and my face looked flawless! I also told her that I had psoriasis and she mentioned that her daughter had psoriasis also so she recommended the first aid to me and it has worked out perfectly. The concealer and foundation that she color matched on me and applied was perfect and I have nothing but great things to say about all the products ! Please thank her for helping Me ! I have never had such an amazing service at any of the Ulta stores and I’ve been to quite a few different ones!

Stephanie cut my hair today and she did a fabulous job! We went from shoulder length to an undercut pixie! She listened to my desired outcome and executed it perfectly. She was sweet and it was a pleasure to be in her chair. If you desire a fresh short style for summer, look no further! Stephanie knows how to handle a razor for sure!

This sort of place is intimidating to someone like me, who doesn't understand why you need shampoo and conditioner when the two can be sold together in one bottle. Fortunately the staff is very engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are about what you would expect, no more and no less.

Had to pick up something for a friend. They have a great selection. This coming from a man who knows nothing about makeup.

I have to give props to all the employees at the Ulta on 173 in Machesney Park. They are always so helpful when I go in and have no idea what I should get. They really take the time to evaluate my skin tone and have always helped find just the right time. Thanks from someone who has no idea how to wear makeup! 😊

Went in to grab some travel size hair products for my upcoming flight. Found everything ok then went to check out and the lady who cashed me out slipped a sample Burberry fragrance into my bag. It smelled sooo good and it was absolutely perfect to pack in my extremely small tsa liquid bag! Thanks so much for doing that! All staff is friendly and extremely helpful. All my visits have been great! Thanks for makong my trip sooo much easier!

Safe hygienic store AND staff.
Masks, nitrile gloves, plexiglass partitions.
Definitely customer focused diverse staff.
Always a pleasure shopping even if only occasionally browsing.
NOT a cheap place to shop but still lots of deals for your money.
