Tante's Fishmarket Restaurant & Bar

Waited two hours for food, but it’s not their fault because the computer system glitched. Had to complain a few times but they made it up by paying for our full meal. The food was delicious and appetizing, all the workers were so inviting and warming. The ocean view is so amazing, you can eat while the ocean view is right there.

We weren't really looking for atmosphere. We sat outside to enjoy the beauty of the island while we ate. The entire experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend trying Tante's if your in the area!

Was hesitant to try this restaurant do to the 50/50 reviews, especially with so many negative comments about the wait staff. Being a former server, I am very picky and poor service will ruin a perfect meal for me. We decided to brave it since it was next to the harbor we had just returned by boat on. I 1st off can't say enough about the manager who immediately greeted us at the door and seated us, sweetest and most personable gentleman we've come across in a long time. Then there's our server, Erica....WOW! She was so upbeat, friendly, attentive and just an all around perfect lady! She made the best food and drink suggestions too. The view from the balcony where we sat was pretty and really relaxing after being on a boat in the sun all day. Drinks from the bar were seriously on point. Was a little nervous about our meal quality because it came out so fast, but it was absolutely amazing! My sister ordered the ribs, they are true to menu as they were fall off the none. My daughter had a bacon cheese burger, not just a plain burger, it was quality meat and very juicey. Husband got the clam chowder and coconut shrimp which he said the was the best he's ever had! I am a steak snob but braved the rib eye and let me just say that I had my leftover the next day and it tasted just as good cold a day later as it did fresh and hot on my plate! Can't say enough about our experience, we will be back for sure!

The Steak and Lobster for $29.95 was excellent. The Steak was a nice medium rare just like I asked and the Lobster was perfect. I expected the Lobster to be small but was pleasantly surprised when I got it. The meal was excellent, the service was as well. My water glass stayed full and she was very attentive to not just my table but everyone's. As for the atmosphere, it was what I was looking for. A great view overlooking the Maalaea Harbor marina, the water and great view of Haleakala.

Absolutely loved this place. We stopped in without a reservation for lunch and still got seated quickly. Everyone was super nice, especially our waitress Laurie. She gave us exceptional service with a genuinely happy smile. The food was amazing. We will definitely be back before our vacation is over.

I loved this place.. it also had a nice view but I was too mesmerized with pehe the chicken. This was my first experience with purple potato salad and yes That's chicken

Came here TWICE in one day because we loved it so much. Once before a whale cruise and once after! Our waitress Erica was so kind and helpful. And Our bartender before the cruise (I think his name was bill - a charming British sounding man) was sweet and working his but off at the bar. Food was GREAT and so were the drinks.
And the views knocked us off our feet.

The food here is great! I recommend the crab/lobster mushrooms as an appetizer. For the meal, order the steak and crab legs. We went for dinner and things would have went smoother if we would have called ahead of time reserving a table. They were able to squeeze us in after 10 min or so. It is loud in there but I still recommend it.

Jewels was the best waitress. Fast service, drinks stayed full. The steak and lobster were amazing for the price. The dessert cheesecake wrap was equally amazing. Most definitely the best bang for your buck on the island.

Visited during mid day on Tuesday. Everything is as advertised. Food came to the table very fast after ordering. Healthy serving of pancit for $6.95 is a great deal. Price of meals are great compared to most of the places in the tourist areas, highly recommended. Also, I had the coconut prawns and combination kalbi beef spare ribs (boneless) and chicken katsu. Staff was professional and courteous. You can't beat $3 drafts or the a noon to 6 pm happy hour.

The food was PHENOMENAL. Stopped by on a whim after visiting the Maui Ocean Center and ordered a Taste of the Island plate off the menu with BBQ Chicken, Shrimp, and Beef Teriyaki. Only cost was $22 and spent an additional $12 on a very strong (but not overly powerful) Mai Tai. My wife had the Caesar Salad with Blackened Fish and she’s still raving about it the next day. I wish I would have taken a photo of the food, just to show the presentation that came out.

I see why this is a happening spot. Great food and prices. Awesome view and vibes.

Hidden Gem!!!

The food Was absolutely great! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly.

This is a must if you’re going to the ocean center aquarium.
Even so just stop by there and you will have a wonderful meal.

Hands down the best sushi I have ever had in my life. Fish is fresh every day and just look at the colour of the Tuna. Just incredibly flavorful and rich. Presentation of the food was top notch as was the service. Best views in West Maui and perfect ambiance. Going to be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know. EVERYTHING we ordered was well presented and flavourful, pricing is competitive but service set this place apart.

Maui's hidden gem of the century. Food is fantastic, happy hour $3 mai tai. Had the steak and lobster, special order as it's not on their menu is fantastic. The fish taco we're good, wasn't great. Lobster super tasty and fresh.

We came off peak hours (3pm) so we got seated right away. They do take reservations, so if going for dinner, would recommend doing that. Super delicious. Ocean view. Combo plates are more than filling. Pork adobo and kalbi were good. Our party also ordered the luau plate, really good. Service was kind and efficient.

Had lunch after visiting the Maui Ocean center. Food was amazing. Staff was attentive. When we arrived it was early but by the time we left they were busy. Definitely generous portions. The mashed sweet potato’s was delicious- almost dessert worthy .

We wanted to have a nice seafood dinner at Tante's, and we were not disappointed! The Ahi Tower was incredible, and the clam chowder was delicious. I had the steak and lobster as my entree, and I was surprised how much I preferred the steak to the lobster. However, the entire meal was fantastic and for the quality and portions of the food, I think the entire meal was of good value. I would recommend Tante's to anyone looking for a great meal at a casual-feel restaurant.

Arrived before Happy Hour officially started but received the Happy Hour pricing. Happy hour starts at 2pm just for those wondering. $3 drafts, $3.5 Mai Tai and margaritas.

Really wonderful calamari cooked just right with a tangy Thai Chili sauce that was not too spicy. Flavorful clam chowder and a saimin deluxe (Japanese ramen, wonton, kamaboko, fried egg, smoked pork, wonbok, Kaichoy & furikake) was great.

Everything was served hot, hot from the kitchen…no eating under heat lamps here.

Cool fish restaurant with an awesome happy hour and friendly staff. I guess you can't get cheaper food and drinks during the day than here, quality was very good. How can you beat $13 Ramen (Saimin deluxe) and $5 22oz craft beers? During happy hour a must to visit if you are in the area!
