Excellent food! I’m so glad I tried this cafe.

If you're in the mood for soul food( but you're too lazy to cook it) visit this place. Guarantee it's about as close as it gets to your folks making it. Great customer service! Loved my chicken and dressing plate. Definitely get you a slice of the banana pudding cheesecake or red velvet cake if available because both were amazing!!!!

Excellent southern style food and great staff.

Everything we ordered, fried chicken, chicken and dressing, sides and dessert had excellent flavor.

Our server, Jasmine, was very nice and attentive. She checked on us often and made several recommendations.

The owners Carl & Willietta (C&W) were great. They treated us like long-time friends.

We can't wait to return.

It was great. Food was delicious. It was a great break from all the truck stop food I have had. Close to our terminal. As you can see I left no crumbs

Great soul food restaurant. Area of town is not the best. I was the only white person there besides the one server lady and I felt very welcomed. The staff was very friendly, sweet southern elderly black lady and man seem to go out of their way to check on you to make sure everything is good. Loved that. I ordered dark meat fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and macaroni with a cornbread muffin. The fried chicken was actually real home cooked fried chicken from a cast iron skillet. The gravy & taters were great. The macaroni was basic. Cornbread muffin was good. Definitely recommend coming here for some real food. That's hard to find nowdays.

This restaurant is the definition of SOUL. All of the food is scratch made goodness, and cooked fresh daily. Everything was delicious, all of the sides, all of the proteins, the breads. If you're a fan of down home southern goodness then do yourself a favor and check this.

This is one of my favorite places! Carl is a fried green tomato genius and the food and service are always incredible!

I have to say the thing I was most amazed by was that the staff there knew every persons name. When I left, I was full, I felt Loved and now, everyone knows my name!

I had a wonder Culinary experience as well. I have never had fried corn before. It was amazing. I mean, bacon grease just makes everything taste good! My drink never went empty. The ribs had a great smoke to them and the sauce was right! The Mac and Cheese should just be called “The Mac Daddy” and there should be a spot light shining on the dish as long any of The Mac Daddy remains!

We enjoyed our lunch while visiting Chattanooga. We love mom/pops. We hope to get to this one again. The banana pudding cheesecake is highly recommended. Very clean,very nice.

I was downtown and needed a nice home-town Cafe for dinner, not the usual commercial stuff. I found this place and it was wonderful. Free parking, excellent food (chicken and Stuffing, Mac and Cheese, real Collard greens and they make a mean bacon and cheeseburger). Service was prompt and food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

This place has the best ribs on Fridays, my only complaint is, I wish they served ribs every day. Great people, smiling faces and excellent food!

Love this place! Best hidden soul food spot in Chattanooga. My go to is the country fried steak with the pickled beets and potato salad. Fridays they fire up the grill and do ribs and bbq. Hours are limited so plan ahead, they are closed Mondays and close around 5pm weekdays

Ohhh my goodness!!! This place is a hidden gem!! Came here today with my son and had some of the best cooking and service ever!! Everyone is friendly and the food is made fresh.. treat yourself to the ribs!!! You won’t be disappointed… the collard greens are amazing.. sweet tea just like momma made.. banana pudding cheesecake … yum… there’s nothing we had that wasn’t amazing!! If you’re in the area check them out!

The servant energy was phenomenal. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I witness two homeless being blessed with nice size plates and that touched my heart. I see they understand the significance feeding the homeless & giving back and because of that I don't mind being a paying guest. Thanks for delicious food, good service and a beautiful smile..

Amazing pork chops! Fantastic greens! Best I've ever had!

It was and always a good place to dine. I love the company, food and atmosphere. I will be going back again and again and again. Out of town guests please go by and enjoy southern food at it's greatest level.

While vacationing with my family, we wanted something other than fast food. We found this "hole in the wall" spot. So glad we did. Food was excellent. My kids, along with my nieces and nephew were the quietest they've been since we got to Chattanooga. We all cleaned our plates. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait about 20 minutes, but boy is it worth it!

Hands down I give this place a 10. From the service to the food, I love it. The menu of soul food is very big to choose from. I have to many favorites to name one. Definitely check them out y'all
