Oak and Ash BBQ & Catering

First time trying this place and was not disappointed. We will definitely be back to try different dishes. I had The Leftover mac & cheese. The turkey was tender and smoked, gravy had a good flavor. My husband had the brisket burger and he said it was delicious 9/10. Our daughter had the Roadrunner and said it was really good 9/10. The waffle fries 10/10, seasoning was so good.

Stopped in for lunch. I am glad I did. The Rueben was great the coleslaw was the best I have ever had. Service was fast and friendly. I will go back and try more.

We ordered catering for a staff retreat along with an onsite bar tender. I have to say this was one of the best overall experiences I’ve had in a very long time from start to finish with a small business. Such a pleasant attitude from the owner, working with our large group and accommodating for our budget. Tim , the owner was very friendly and helpful when making selections and went above and beyond to make sure our event went smooth and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Thank you for such a memorable dinner experience. We will definitely use again for future events in this area.

2024 UPDATE: Nachos are STILL THE BEST THING YOU'LL EVER EAT. Seriously.

The Mac & cheese has been improved! The Porky is the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. Sweet BBQ sauce, pulled pork, and a peppery flavor make it a must eat!!

My family had the ribs (delicious) and burger (OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD) was so tasty!!

We stop here every time we are in town!

The food at Oak+Ash is amazing! Ignore any sketchy reviews, and try it for yourself! We were in Memphis for Spring Break, and this BBQ was hands down better than anything we ate there.

Prices were in line with what you would expect for fresh, homemade food. There are options for everyone at every price point.

Our table had the nachos with pulled pork for an appetizer. Out of this world! It had an interesting combination of ingredients (pickled onions?), but it all worked! I would order this again and again. We also had the burrito (enormous), Roadrunner (sweet with vinegar notes), and Ladder 240 (full of yummy meat). Our only complaint is the Mac & cheese needs some more flavor.

(My husband had been here previously and had the ribs and poutine. He said both were amazing with tons of flavor and spice!)

Decor was nice. For fans of the old Zeke's, you will see old memories, but this space is much more open and modern. Tables are spaced far enough apart, so you feel like you have some privacy.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We felt welcomed and attended to. We got some great recommendations!

Can't wait to return and try something new!

Went there last night early eve. And wow service was great, got helped right away. Got 2 drinks and waters within a minute. Thank you, I tried the chili brisket, yummy! She took our order 2 burgers with 2 sides and wow it came out lighting fast! This was my 1st time here, and wow great fast service, actually smiled and enjoyed what she does and cooks the food she said, the prices were great compared to others, and it's now my stomping ground when I'm near or passing through. Dear owner you have a great worker that smiles, works fast with drinks and food! And give her a raise and thanks for us. Lol
I'll do way more business with this Resturant.

We enjoyed our dinner tonight. The tips weren't what we thought but still delicious. The dirty mac is great too. Our son said his burger was good. Friendly staff and a quick turn around time

Meat available last night was only burgers, chicken and pulled pork. Not an issue at all as the pulled pork was incredible! Will be back.

My husband and I just ate there for the first time and it did not disappoint. My husband is a major foodie and he said hands down one of the best corn beef, juicy and the best rueben sandwich. Then he ordered ribs to go and he said juiciest and lean ribs ever! Loved the sweet BBQ sauce and hot BBQ sauce. Mac n Cheese is incredible and I loved my cheeseburger!! Our waitress was great, friendly and did a good job. Definitely try the deep fried bread pudding bites with caramel. Great place to get BBQ!!!

All I can say this place is a must try. My husband had the burrito and let say it did not disappoint. I had a double bacon burger. Was just as good. I highly recommend this place. Wait staff was super friendly and attentive

Boyfriend and I decided to try out a new restaurant and I must say I was extremely impressed! From service to food, absolutely great! I have lived in Phoenix, Arizona 6 years of my life and still have never had a better taco than this place makes! We will be making this a regular date spot!

Trust me, this place’s current 3.9 rating is idiotic. The Haunted Hounds know what they’re doing. This is just one of many of their successful restaurants! Obviously the people of DAWAGIAC have TERRIBLE taste in food! Upon biting into this Reuben, I immediately knew it was the best Reuben that I have ever eaten. I also tried my bro’s ribs and they were AMAZING! Their BBQ sauces might be the best I’ve had! The only complaint I have is that the restaurant was a little chilly, but I felt like after putting my coat on and zipping it up, the wait staff turned the temp up a degree or 2. I recommend questioning every review for every restraint in Dawagiac. Obviously they all have the palates of cavemen!

The food my party had was amazing and will definitely come back for more. The loaded burnt end fries were wonderful. Also recommend the armadillo egg very good.

Chicken and waffles were some of the best I've ever had! I really appreciated that they use chicken strips so you can easily get a little of both on one fork! Delicious! Service was solid too, no complaints there, and I really dug the atmosphere too. Only tiny complaint would be the music is a tad loud but that might just be a me thing

So the first time we visited and what a great experience. A few of the older reviews are not accurate. Starting with the staff , friendly prompt , professional and very helpful because We wanted to try a few different things, so for appetizers ,burnt ends on waffle fries with brisket chill was a real winner ! My wife had The smoked chicken salad it was fresh and delicious, I had the brisket burger it was fantastic ! We were told that They are starting a Sunday brunch menu this weekend so we will be back soon to try brunch .... So many things to try .

Tim and Maleigha made the whole process easy, and relieved me of concerns over whether our friends and family would be well fed! Everyone enjoyed the food tremendously. It was hot, tasty, on-time and well-presented. And Tim and Maleigha could not have been nicer! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Well done!

How have I lived this close to great bbq and desserts and not known about this place? We will be back. The bread pudding dessert is unreal.

This was a true experience meant to repeat for us all. As a vegetarian traveling with a husband who enjoys a variety of specialty meat dishes, we found somewhere to return to. Our son found the smoked porsbellla with fresh tomato and lightly sautéed saurkraut was fantastic.
Also, I had the Reuben with the meat on another plate for my husband to snack on while I asked for an Inch of sliced fresh tomatoes, sliced Havarti, and then a balanced slaw on the side. Yum. It was a sandwich that fulfilled that desire for a thick, sauce-dripping sandwich that satisfies.
The fried pickles were the best my husband had had yet, as he repeatedly testified. Finally, to top it all off, the Brookie dessert was a perfectly large portion to share. I was surprised as the homemade cookie was married with a soft brownie served hot with a fudge blanket that was a perfect balance of comfort and delish. The vanilla ice cream on the side made everyone at the table want more and know we just had found a special spot for esaping the ordinary. Just as we were leaving, we were given a taste of an old-fashioned trip back in time. I loved the vanilla ice cream and simple drizzle of carmel, which transported me back to my childhood. This was a delightful twist to a special end of our trip.
Thank you to Andrew, the chef who personally came out to see to our perfected enjoyment. Also, Bethany was so patient as we tried to complete our order and had to pause while special friends arrived. She was great and a joy to have wait on us. Thank you to the owners for making us feel welcome and for the forever memories. We will go home with more than a smile but a longing to return soon.

Wonderful experience at Oak and Ash for lunch today. Food was amazing. Zero complaints. Everything was eaten and enjoyed. We had the poutine, chips and cheese as apps (wonderful!)
For entrees we tried the Cheftian, burrito, burnt end mac and cheese, and the works! Everything was amazing.
For dessert we tried the bread pudding. Phenomenal!
5 star experience, will definitely be back!

We stopped in for a quick bite and it was great. The beers were cold, service was amazing and food was delicious. Ordered the burrito and the rueben and would come back for both.
