Excellent place to eat if you like good home cooking country food. WARNING: The onion rings are HUGE. The portions are good, price is good and everything here tastes great. Found this place on a trip from CO to KY. This will be my stop every time I make this trip. Thank you for the great food and service.
2023 Update: Ate here again this year and the food, service and portion sizes were very good. Onion rings are huge, crispy and very good. Enjoyed the double cheeseburger and peach pie too. I’m sure I’ll stop by here again next year. Thank you.

Stopped in here for lunch today with the husband. Split a tenderloin sandwich, corn nuggets and an order of onion rings. We both filled up and had plenty of leftovers. Everything was amazing and the onion rings were HUGE.

Great little traditional American diner. The place was clean and the service was quick and accurate. The food was very good, came out exactly as described without any surprises or disappointments. Large portions and jumbo onion rings makes me wish I lived here just to be close enough to go here regularly 👍

Love their weekly specials. I'm guaranteed to have lunch for the next day. Their pork tenderloin dinner is my favorite with a side of mashed potatoes and cucumbers and onions.
Their fried mushrooms are amazing too.

Haylee and Ashton ROCK! Ask for them for outstanding service and care. Both of these girls are very knowledgeable about their menu and are so nice and will not stop smiling. The food here at PT's is just amazing. It's everything you wouldn't want when you're thinking about going to eat at a diner. We had the fried mushrooms for appetizers and pork tenderloin sandwich, chicken strips and chicken noodle soup. Don't miss your chance for an amazing lunch or dinner.

As far as Family Dining goes, PT's nails it. Nice place with a variety of seating options, good service, and good food. They are especially noted for their breaded pork tenderloins, and their excellent onion rings - wow. For each, you have options. The tenderloin has two sizes, and can be served as a sandwich or an entreé, with a variety of condiments, or two gravy options. Any of them are good.

The onion rings, though, are some of the best I've had. I ordered a half-size serving of six. They are huge! With the small tenderloin, two sides, a roll, and six rings, I was stuffed by the time I was done. PT's is a great place to get a meal, and sometimes, especially weekends, evenings are very, very busy.

They do have a drive-thru for pickup options, and clean restrooms. I highly recommend them.

A great little 30 year old Mom and Pop type place with all you'd expect from the food. The onion rings are..well.. say a prayer if you get the full order because you'll WANT to eat them all but won't have a prayer of a chance to do so. Half is huge. The tenderloin sandwich is awesome too. My table had grilled chicken that was tasty and the cucumber and onion side was very good. Staff is fast and friendly. Give them a try and enjoy.

PT's family restaurant is a gem in our town! This place holds a special spot in our hearts and has been a place we've met my grandpa often. The food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Their onion rings are a must-try and absolutely delicious. I can confidently say they serve one of the best tenderloins I've ever had. If you're on the lookout for a hidden gem, this is the place to go. My wife and I love discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and we highly recommend P t's to anyone else seeking the same experience. 5/5 stars from us!

It was my first time there. I had heard tons of wonderful comments and they are all true. The food is exceptional quality and quantity. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. The portions are HUGE!!!! You have been warned!!!! My salad was made with the crispiest and freshest lettuce I think I have had with exception of maybe if I lived on a farm. The other customers found my friend and I the entertainment as they knew we were first time visitors and they made bets on when we would ask for take home box. The young lady server was polite and took good care of us. It is worth the 45 minute drive for sure.

Always AMAZING food!! We frequently drive from Blue Springs to eat here when we get the craving for it!! Soooooo good!!! The employees are great and food always top notch!!! Oh and their rolls 😲💕 best I've ever had!!!

People keep telling for years to try this place. So I finally did. Expensive yes. However! It's all dinner size portions.

I called in my order and picked it up by the drive thru. I got the pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and green beans. It was the best tenderloin I have ever eaten! It was so tender, I didn't need a knife to cut it! Prices were reasonable and well with it! I will definately be eating there more often!

Local owned businesses. We had great service. Waitress explained the menu items 1/2 order of onion rings is enough for one person. Burgers are great wonderful dinning experience.

You want good home cooked food? Do yourself a favor and go here. Get the small pork tenderloin as a sandwich, put some mayo on that bad boy and enjoy. Oh yeah, get some onion rings too, good luck!

This is a fantastic family friendly eatery. We ordered the half hot beef and small tenderloin sandwich. Both were excellent. Server was attentive and friendly. Food came quickly. Side note: there is no booze served here, but the food is well worth the visit.

The only thing I would critique is the booth we sat in, was very tight.

Generous portions of down home food made right! We went for fried green tomatoes and ended up with so much more. The onion rings were incredible and they were made in house. My husband ordered the open face roast beef sandwich and brought half of it home. I had the blackened grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was moist and tasted great! They also had a variety of tasty desserts. We will definitely be going back! Well worth the short drive to Oak Grove.

Of course I had to get the pork tenderloin which is why they named the restaurant PTs and it was certainly worth the money. I alone onion rings which were delicious, possibly the best part of the whole meal.
