Moocho Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

The food was excellent. The restaurants AC was out, so we had to dine outdoors, but the service and the food was great!

Great food. Good prices and love taking my kids with me here. They are always willing to go above and beyond.

Growing up in Texas, iIt’s hard to empress me but this place did a fantastic job if u don’t come and eat here you are sadly missing out some of the best authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten just simply outstanding in every way & the price is very good for the amount you get if I had gone to a chain restaurant I would have spent 80 dollars plus easily but i barely spent 50 that’s with a tip just incredible I will be back again

Went there for the first time recently - very good food! I didn't think I was that hungry, so I opted for a tamale and a street taco with the rice and beans sides and gobbled it all up! I may have even stolen part of the burrito my sister couldn't finish right off her plate! Server was polite, place was very chill and clean, got our food in good time and prices are respectable - we will definitely be back for more!

Food was delicious! Modest place with excellent service with a smile. We drove from Blue Springs and it was well worth the drive.

I ordered 1 rib bone to try the BBQ.
Better than many bbq only places.
Overall.....wait for it.....AMAZING!

Delicious and quick service, the staff is amazing always remembers me and my order, definitely my go to when I have the extra time for lunch.

Best delicious and authentic mexican food in town. You get your money's worth and have a good selection for all. One downside is the entire restaurant reeks of cigarette smoke. If you're not fond of such things, then I suggest carry-out. Either way very well worth trying!

Walked into an empty restaurant around 4 pm. The menu is fairly large. Pricing is reasonable. The food.....get out a here! I had a tongue taco. It was pretty perfect! Flavorful and spicy the onions were grilled just right and the corn Tortillas were waffer thin. I also had quesadillas. They were very good. Can't wait to go back. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Absolutely great flavor! Awesome Margaritas! Traveling and so glad we found it. Our waitress was so sweet. Seafood enchiladas were so tasty! But I love a good cheese sauce.

Great staff, incredible food! The place was clean and reasonably quiet. The food came out quickly and our glasses were never empty. The Mexican cheese burger topped with a flood of queso cheese sauce was to die for!!!

This is Oak Groves best kept secret. The Tamales were fresh and not frozen. The salsa had a hint of a kick. I had the fajita nachos which was amazing. My guy had the taco salad and he said it was a little bland. My daughter had the quesadilla Cancun and it was devoured. Do your self a favor and try this spot.

Quit sleeping on Moocho's, phenomenal food, great service, friendly staff.

Their mexcian is much better than the 'standard' in the surrounding area. It was a pleasant surprise. Friend got the BBQ and that looked really good as well, would try that as well!

Great food

Large portions, average prices, amazing service, all in all one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in the KC area(just moved back from Texas so I know what's talking about). Can't go wrong with anything off the menu, my favorites are tacos else pastore and burrito Cozumel (pictured). If you aren't a smoker sit restaurant side as the bar is a smoking section. You HAVE to try the moocho margarita!

Been going to moochos for at least 5 years and it seriously never disappoints. They are always friendly, fast and their food and drinks are fabulous. I'll keep going here and the 45 min drive from Lenexa is totally worth it!!
