Hometown Cafe

We have eaten there a couple of times when in town, each time I would give 41/2 to 5 stars.
The food is really good, and the service is great. My brother had a catfish dinner that looked delicious, and I don't even like catfish.
I have two constructive suggestions.
1. Always have cocktail sauce available when serving shrimp. It's important to have all condiments available in a restaurant.
2. Supply your waitresses with serving trays, at least for drinks.
We will be back.

We were visiting the state parks and didn't want your typical fast food. We found this place and it was everything. Home cooking. My husband had the catfish platter since it was the Saturday special and it was 2 HUGE pieces of fish. I had the hamburger plate. Everything was delicious. If your ever in Jamestown, TN you need to stop here.

Came here for take out after a long trip. Staff was kind and helpful. Friendly atmosphere, very clean. Food was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly. We ordered a whole mess of food, everything was correct, and it came out within 20 mins!

My Grandma recommended this place to us, and it was absolutely amazing. We went for breakfast, but they still made Corn Nuggets for my Fiance. The Strawberry Lush cake was one of the best cakes I have ever had

Very nice place. Wait staff was helpful and attentive. The food was plentiful. All of us got to-go boxes to take home part of our meal. The food was tasty diner food. The booths were wooden and comfortable but the wood was hard to sit on for very long. There are a few rooms that would make it nice for larger groups. The parking lot is a bit cramped.

This review is for the new location in Jamestown. Love this place, and the food is amazing. Breaded tenderloin is great. I am so happy Hometown Cafe is now in Jamestown.

Cute place, breakfast was good, pancakes were delish, the servers were great. Just wish you'd get 3 pieces of bacon instead of 2.

Biscuits!! Hands down the fluffiest biscuits! Perfect balance of ingredients. You'd be surprised how people can screw up biscuits. The sausage is good, as is the gravy. Not gelatinous, and not overly seasoned. It allows you to taste the other breakfast items. The eggs were slightly overcooked, so express very easy if you areca runny egg type. Overall, we had a very pleasant breakfast with fantastic, friendly service. Very attentive. We will come back to try out lunch and dinner another time. Worth the 35 minute drive to get here.

Renovated. Same previous owner. Excellent breakfast. Great bacon, homemade gravy, biscuits, hashbrowns, and omelet.

This is a great local place. The food is really good. It's cooked to order. The steak is very tender. The seasoning on it are awesome. The double cheese burger is big and very good. It comes with everything you want on it. The country fried steak. Is battered just right. It has a perfect taste. Even the chicken tenders are really good. If you are close you need to go!

Hometown sauce & Burger was sooo flavorful. Best sweet potato fries.. clean, good service, great food & people. Highly recommend!!

I've been here for breakfast and for lunch and both times was excellent food and service.

Jamestown's best little cafe!! Stopped here for dinner while doing the 127 Yard Sale. Absolutely the best meal we have had in the 19 years we have been coming to the sale. Hamburger Steak and onion rings are to die for!! The Strawberry pie was out of this world. The only thing better than the food here was the sweet service we received. We will definitely be back!!!

Simple restaurant with good food. I had Country fried steak and the wife had a burger. Both good. Onion rings, green beans, and okra. The onion rings were the best.

Very nice experience in this small town Cafe. Loved the food and I found something pretty healthy on the menu. I'd eat there again.
