I can't say enough about this fabulous eatery and marketplace for wine, cheese, seafood, meat, and various other goodies.Fresh seafood for those who only want the very best! Wow! The wine selection was terrific and enjoyable. Kayla, our server, was friendly and informative and made our first experience here a memorable one . We are so excited to come back and try everything on the menu with family and friends.

I love this place. Today was my second time eating there, this time I brought my husband. We shared one of the daily specials which was a Black Garlic Hummus & veggies. Best hummus I've ever had! Then I ordered the Sautéed Trout and my husband got a Fried Grouper Finger Po'Boy. The food came out quickly and just tastes so fresh and clean. The seasoning and flavors were perfect. This is definitely going to be a go-to place for us. Great customer service too!

We were in Safety Harbor for the "Hippie Dash" road race to benefit Goodwill. Our Airbnb guidebook suggested several local restaurants. The Tides Seafood Market & Provisions was among them; I could live on seafood, so it was an easy decision to make. Plus, it was a four-minute walk to Main Street. We decided on takeout after looking at the menu online.

I settled on the Grilled Shrimp with orzo; my husband ordered the Fish and Chips with chopped green salad. We called our order in; Thomas, the young man who took our order, confirmed a 15-20 minute wait.

Our order was ready when we arrived and packaged beautifully in a sturdy carry out bag and containers.

The Tides Seafood Market & Provisions is a small, family-owned business with extensive displays of products local to Florida: produce, fresh seafood, dairy, packaged goods, sauces, beverages, unique selections of canned fish, and breads. Inside dining is plentiful and not crowded.

The food was delicious and well prepared. The fish and chips were traditional like you would expect in Great Britain with flaky fish and just the right amount of light batter.

The jumbo shrimp were seasoned perfectly and served with a mildly spicy dressing with a side of orzo.

We were satisfied but not overstuffed. It’s exactly what we needed after a big day on the roads of Safety Harbor, a unique, quaint, safe and delightful town.

The Walkers have invested considerably in their family-owned business. Their website details their partnership with local vendors and suppliers. The blog part of the website has not been updated since 2021; an update would only enhance their already successful business.

We will return on our next visit to this charming town.

What a find!! So glad we could this place and gave it a whirl because it was incredible. I had the simple yellow snapper with the lemon buerre blanc sauce and their signature crispy potatoes with garlic aioli. We had the snow crab appetizer and my friend had the beet salad. Everything was out of this world, amazing. I simply cannot wait to return.

We have been wanting to try this restaurant since they opened and it did not disappoint. We had the happy hour oyster special…tuna tartar (delicious!), seared scallops, fried green tomatoes, and clams. I was so impressed with the seasonings and balanced flavors. Our server, Scarlet was so sweet and attentive. We will be back! Our new favorite local spot!

Superb quality food! Feast for the senses! A must go place. They also have a beautiful market and gift section. Comfortably decorated and nautical atmosphere. The only thing I didn't care for was the taste of the cold risotto, but that's just me. I was still hungry after eating my small tuna salad, but next time, I'll be sure to order an appetizer so I don't leave hungry. Can't wait to go back! Plenty of parking. Dine in. Pricey and small portions but delicious! Love the farm to table dining.

My wife and I had lunch here yesterday, which was a Sunday afternoon. The Oysters, Blackened Grouper Sandwich and Shrimp Po Boy were very tasty.

The service was friendly and very responsive.

We highly recommend The Tides Market and will definitely return.

UPDATE - ONE YEAR LATER

We returned for the $1 Oyster Happy Hour and had 18 James River, Virginia oysters and 6 Blue Point, NJ oysters. In flavor and size, we enjoyed the James River oysters much more.

My wife ordered the Blackened Yellowtail Snapper and I ordered the Mediterranean Salmon. Both dishes were very tender, well-seasoned. My wife liked the dirty rice and the beurre blanc sauce. I loved the grilled asparagus accompaniment, the quinoa salad (feta, olives, onions, cucumber, quinoa) and the tzatziki plated as a sauce beneath the fish and quinoa salad.

Again, we had really tasty food, great service and will return sooner and more frequently. I can't speak highly enough about The Tides Market.

I’d like to give The Tides in Safety Harbour 100 stars. I read about it in a local publication a few months back and finally got up to safety Harbour to check it out.

The Tides is a culinary gem in the Tampa Bay Area. You can tell they have commitment to freshness as they source the finest fish and support local farms, which I appreciate.

Beyond their delightful dishes, their market offers a chance to take home some of the freshest catches and local goods, including an extensive natural wine selection and fantastic, locally farmed grassfed beef.

My husband and I split oysters then got salads. It was so delicious and the amount you get for the price is fantastic.

I absolutely cannot wait to go back!!!

By far the beast seafood in the area restaurant in the area!

Their seafood platter for around $100 would be double anywhere else and not nearly as thoughtfully prepared. Each element was excellent and the variety of cold water oysters was truly a treat.

The service and atmosphere was outstanding as well.

If you’re thinking seafood, look no further!

10 out of 10!

We always do a low country boil with our group for vacation and couldn’t find many spots for fresh shrimp. We found this market on Google and were very impressed. The whole meat counter was fresh and the service was wonderful. I would love to go back and try the restaurant side.

The Tides Market is like home for me.
I am a 2 year resident of Saftey Harbor and on Friday evenings this is my go to place! The food is exceptional, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is perfect for family, friends, date night, or even eat alone.
I dined alone last night and as usual I ask the staff to suggest something on the menu. The recommendation was " Snapper Vesuvio", this is going to be a challenge to describe the flavors going on in my mouth. It truly was a perfect pairing of ingredients that was savored with every bite.
Y'all keep what you're doing!
The Tides Market is by far one of, if not the "best place" to dine in Saftey Harbor!
Bon Appetit!

Another hidden gem on Safety Harbor Main Street. After passing by this place many a time and seeing their page on TikTok we finally took the plunge and boy were we pleased. The food is truly awesome and the freshness of the seafood can definitely be noticed. The potions are huge and packed with tons of flavor. We started our adventure boudin balls followed by a fried shrimp Po boy and a Ahi poke bowl for the Mrs. Heck we even had a chance to chat with Jon Walker the Chef/Owner while we sat at our table. Jon is a food lover with a culinary background and almost twenty years in the seafood industry and all this comes through while eating at his establishment. We were so glad we checked them out and I’m sure it will be the first of many visits to come in the future….

This place is great and the service is excellent. I came during happy hour where a you can get a dozen oysters for $12. They served 4 different varieties of oysters (which is great in theory), but 2 of the types were very small.

The shrimp po boy I had was excellent, probably the best one I've had in Tampa and would probably even stand out in New Orleans. My friend got the crab cake sandwich, which he claimed was the best one he's ever had at a restaurant. Our boys had their cheeseburger. I was able to try a bite and it was exactly how I like it (medium inside, charred taste on outside).

I will definitely be coming back.

Tampa Bay Restaurant Week. The Tides Market. The city of Safety Harbor is nestled on the west shore of Tampa Bay and within resides a considerable amount of restaurants and shops, mostly on Main Street. One such place is The Tides. Prix-Fixe menu $48 for 3 courses.

Service is attentive, warm and friendly. I selected the Calamari and Shishito first. A small dish that was crispy and tasty. Followed by the Blackened Grouper resting on a bed of Corn Macque Choux and surrounded by a savory Buerre Blanc sauce. The Grouper was a piquant offering while the flavorsome cajun corn was bright and pleasantly textured. A very nice creation. The final dish was the Berry Panna Cotta, a gratifying end to the meal.

There are high end meat and seafood cases that display very fresh and appetizing selections. The market portion of the shop is a treasure trove of delights. Tons of delectable and unusual items. I was able to choose a nice french wine to go with my fish.

The patrons seem to be mostly locals who apparently know how special the place is. A talented chef and wonderful product in a relaxing environment. Great place, give them a visit.

This is not just a fresh Food Market they also serve food from 11am-6pm and have plenty of seating. The staff was very welcoming, kind and attentive.
I love the simple menu. I had the Salmon Cobb Salad minus crumbled blue cheese and a side of Orzo rice. Only thing is, I wished the Salmon was fresh off the grill but it's served cold.

I enjoyed the salad very much with a little Lemon, sea salt and green honey vinaigrette dressing. The leafy lettuce was fresh just as I expected as I saw the Market Store half of this place was very orderly, spacious and very clean. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Look forward to trying the Cheeseburger.

Genevieve’s kind and patient attention was worthy of the exceptional food that she delivered. The atmosphere is simple and so are most of the menu items BUT you can only get hope that you are going to get both fresh and desirable…and Tides was 100% in these regards. Having Genevieve as our server was a distinctive plus for our group. She made great suggestions, didn’t flinch when I ordered 4 dozen oysters and was patient with us old folk. Her smiles, laughter and good will made us feel almost like family…and that is a rare quality in anyone who isn’t an owner.
