Hart House Hotel

Location is great. Noise from downstairs and anyone honking (driving by - honkkkk) was annoying. Parking lot noise also annoying. But worth it to see the car and convenient next to the building. Shower was amazing. My teen is spoiled by heated tiles now. I wish there were spare comforters, because the single bedroom was cold. Rooms were gorgeous and clean. Most comfortable beds ever...we will miss them. I would highly recommend staying here. Elevators are slow...but there ARE elevators. Gorgeous building...stunning even. Stay here. Better than staying in Buffalo.

Great location in a really cute town. They were a bit under construction, but it didn’t affect us negatively. There was a cute bar and restaurant that we didn’t partake of. The room was fairly small but very quaint and atmospheric

I almost missed booking here, because I saw the photo about stairs. I'm so glad I went to the website. The hotel is modern touches with beautiful historical elements. The toiletries smell amazing, and the bed is heavenly! The best feature is the genuine personalized service. Andrew is very helpful and responsive. 10/10 recommend!

It has such great character. It's a very comfortable, cozy environment. It's walking distance to shopping & restaurants. I would definitely stay again. Each room has a theme. I choose the bike room.

What a lovely little hotel! My girlfriend and I had a wedding in Albion and decided to stay at the Hart House Hotel in Medina, only 15 minutes away. It is a self-check in hotel, where they send you a text with a code to be able to enter the hotel and your specific room. All information was sent over in a prompt manner. The room was gorgeous with a cool old-style feel but with the modern amenities you would expect in a "normal" hotel. The price of the room was also very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very unique. Loved the small welcoming touches. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.

The Hart House Hotel made for a great place to stay the night while biking the Erie Canal Trail recently. They e-check in process worked flawlessly, the room was very comfortable and the location was convenient. Highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in the area.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hart Hotel. The room was very clean and well equipped with the essentials - soap, coffee, blankets, etc. The location was perfect and the noise level was almost non-existent. I appreciate the extras that were available in the hallway, the keyless entry, and the free parking.

An ideal place to stay - cute town convenient to the Erie Canal bike trail. Thoughtfully renovated and well-appointed rooms, efficient access with a code making check-in a breeze.

Owner is helpful if you need anything and check-in was seem-less with all the texts/emails leading up to your stay.

The rooms are all unique and love the gym membership that comes with the stay. My go to when I visit Medina from time to time.

This was a perfect spot for us to stop for the night as we cycled our way along the Erie Canalway towards Albany. We stayed in The Loft. It was clean, up-to-date, and always comfortable. We did not have to ask for anything else. In addition to their own cafe, other eating places were a short walking distance away. Staying the night on the third floor of an old converted shirt factory was unique, historic, and memorable. Thanks Andrew, for a job well done!

Absolutely loved this hotel! It is a very unique place to stay. I’m looking forward to checking out each room eventually. I think the themed rooms are a really cool aspect. It definitely has me intrigued for more. The first stay went great in loft B1. Since it’s pet friendly my dog was even able to join. It was a great getaway. Medina has gems all over, too. Shirt Factory is an amazing spot and it’s just a walk downstairs (or elevator if you prefer). Can’t say enough about it. Highly recommend.

Hart House is a cozy, BnB style hotel in the heart of downtown Medina. It shares a building with 810 Meadworks and the Shirt Cafe. It’s close proximity to the canal made it the perfect place to stay for a night on my bicycle tour of the canal.

The elevator makes accessing your room quite easy, although you will have to be patient as it is quite slow. The wifi was very fast and easy to connect to. My room was clean as a whistle and had all the amenities I needed.

I would highly recommend stopping in for a night if you are traveling through Medina. Check out the other businesses in the building for a tasty evening and a filling breakfast.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel right in the cute little downtown area of Medina. The rooms are all done in unique and refreshing styles and are very clean. They are flooded with light from the large windows which are dressed with translucent coverings in the lower panes for privacy. I would highly recommend Hart House Hotel to any traveler in the area.

The Hart House Hotel is just simply a gem in a jewel of a town! We were biking the Erie Canal from Albany to Buffalo and were lucky enough to score a reservation here. We were really tired and then pampered in luxury. We booked into a "loft" not sure what to expect; but it as like a mini apartment!. Plus the location is awesome; we got into town late after beating against a headwind all day but ran right down to the Avanti Pizza around the corner for take out and enjoyed it in our "digs". We were at first a little apprehensive about the totally "cloud" interaction with the hotel, but there were several reassuring emails about the process and the test key code arrived right on time so we were ok. We really hope this hotel is successful and if we travel in the area again we will definitely stay here!

I will always try to stay here while in Medina, NY! Always very clean, cozy & professional operated. I had a very small issue with an AC unit while staying there. The owner came out right then, put me up in another room while it was being fixed, and then left a bottle of wine for my "trouble." Their hospitality went above and beyond!

My wife and young daughter had a weekend trip planned in the Western NY region to visit Niagara Falls with friends from the East coast. We decided to head up a day early to extend our trip and visit some of the towns. Unfortunately, our Airbnb was booked the night before, so we had to find other accommodations.

What we found in the Hart House Hotel impressed us. It started when we called to book, Andrew was polite and informative.

During out drive up, our friends decided that they were able to leave work and arrive a day early as well. We talked to Andrew, and he was able to add the adjoining room to our reservation without issue.

When we arrived and realized that we needed more space (two pack-n-plays), we asked to see Loft A. He kindly let us in, we looked around, and booked it. This change was done seamlessly! The large space was perfect for our small families. The second bedroom could have been a bit bigger, but we made it work. The place was clean, expertly decorated, and included a bathroom with a tub and a beautifully tiled shower. The kitchen was well apportioned, and the living area was huge. WiFi worked well, we didn't use the TVs (too much catching up to do!).

A couple things to note:
**This is not a typical hotel with a front desk and such. It acts more like an Airbnb, which appealed to us.
**The rooms are on the third floor. You pass a place that makes Mead, and The Shirt Factory on your way up. (We were bummed we didn't make it to The Shirt Factory. It is like your hotel bar, but looked much better. We even tried to get coffee on the way home, but no skim milk..)
**The owner/operator seems to wear many hats, give him a minute to get back to you when you need assistance.

Preserving history is a big deal for me, and I am glad to see an institution like the Hart House Hotel that did it so well. If we are ever in the area again, we will be back.
