Terry with the Glenwood location was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped my daughter through a seamless process, and a lot of the process was expedited. This was her first car buying experience on her own and I felt very confident in the information he provided to her. There was no Haggling or intimidating or overselling of anything. I would definitely recommend him and look forward to working with him in the future

Stoped in the night prior to apt the next day. Iv been searching for the right truck and a good salesman for almost 3 weeks. Some haggle and push the sale and keep calling you and texting non stop.
Carmax approach to selling/buying vehicles is beyond fair and a perfect no pressure approach.
I had the pleasure of getting teamed up with Chris. Honest approach helped in anyway he could. Helped with questions that were also a concern to him as if he was the one buying the truck.
Met Chris the next day since they were closing early. He had things ready to go I got there and in less than 1 hour they had my truck all paper work done and ready. Gave me a few carmax grocery bags denim to get my things from the trade in.
Chris has been there since 2002 and to see him still happy and very helpful shows something about a company that takes care of their employees.

I was part of 2 appointments - appraisal and buying a car. The customer service we received for both transactions was excellent. All the people we dealt with friendly and knowledgeable. Online quotes were helpful, appointments were honored, and attention to detail was provided.
The only long part was getting through all the paperwork and waiting for them to process/scan/copy it so we could leave with the car, but I think that is the norm for buying a car.
This is our 3rd purchase with CarMax and we would use them again.

For real an amazing buying experience… have heard such mixed reviews but little brother has been looking for a car for 11+ months.. new credit and no co-signer ALL the places we have been just couldn’t help us. Terry from CarMax helped us out. Ran into some issues but were able to get them resolved and he got a nice car at a nice price. Absolutely will be shopping at CarMax again.

Selling a car through Carmax was so easy. It starts with a quick online assessment then a visit to the store. Everyone we met were so professional and helpful. We didn’t have to wait a long time. It was a really hassle free and stress free experience. We also got a fair price for our vehicle.

Good internet offer from CarMax to purchase my car and they honored that offer upon their inspection. Was pleasantly surprised by the fair and speedy process. Not at all like most car selling/buying experiences (except for Tesla which has an amazing car buying experience).

I’d like to give 10/5 stars. Not really sure what I expected but this was an incredible experience. I was able to make my appointment, upload the necessary documents and received a very fair offer. When I actually got there I was greeted immediately and once they retrieved my information off the computer I was brought to the business office where they took the title and made copies of DL and registration. Brought the car to the service area and turned the key back in to the business office and by the time I came back from a quick trip to the restroom they were ready for me to complete the process. I signed 4 documents, they gave me a check and I was done. 25 minutes in and out. It’s so well organized, it’s like the Chick-Fil-A of car dealerships. I cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking to sell your car. Why deal with the hassle of trying to sell privately, having strangers come to your house. This was so easy.

It was a very easy process to sell the car to CarMax. The price I got from online quote and Carmax in-person appraisal were matched. They honored the quoted price and the selling process was easy. It took less than 1 hour to complete the paperwork and to have check in my hand. The staff members were very polite and professional. Overall good experience.

Becky was awesome. She was patient, understanding, no pressure, and made sure we left feeling that we knew more than coming in.
She took the time to answer all our questions in person, by phone, via text, and even by email. We were running late on the day of pick up and she was flexible, she didn't make us feel like an inconvenience. She shared options for financing to advise what auto insurances were better at the moment.

Wasn’t seeking top dollar for my vehicle, but was looking to strike a good balance between dealer trade-in and private sale. Filled out online questions and received a very fair quote for my vehicle. Fully expected carmax to further haggle on the price once onsite, but to my delight, they promptly test drove my vehicle and offered the exact amount as the online quote. Was a very easy process and I was in and out in an hour on a busy Saturday. Would recommend.

Balpreet was a great sales consultant! The store manager was also very helpful as well. Was able to successfully get me in the car i wanted, even during difficulties he pushed the sale through and had great customer service! He also stayed 3 hours past his shift working for me, i appreciate him alot and definitely recommend!

I was shockingly pleased with my experience as I was not expecting it to go so well. They bought my old car and shipped another from out of state for me to test drive. After purchase, the 30 days to fix anything not initially apparent, was awesome. There were a few minor items that they fixed very efficiently at no charge. Overall, very happy customer.

I wanted to share with everyone that the Sales Managers on Glenwood Ave CarMax attended to my issues and concerns with the Infiniti and made everything right. I was able to get car back to NC and was able to get a new car with no issues.
I also want to acknowledge the Sales Rep Lauren, she helped me both times and her patience and personality were awesome.
Thanks to the Sales manager at the Smithtown, NY location for assisting me while there.

My experience purchasing my Infinity QX30 from CarMax has been horrible! I originally started the car buying purchase online and the car I chose had to be delivered from the Gaithersburg, MD, which took a week for delivery. I was told once car was delivered to Glenwood Ave store, Raleigh, NC, that it will take 24-48 hours for them to do a thorough inspection before having me come in and test drive car. Car drove great, but when I returned to store there was a deep scratch on passenger door and paint damage on the bumper. They attempted to make those corrections however it looked like white out marker on a pearl white car, so they ordered paint to fix that. Now to the major problem, after 12 days of having car, car would not start. Contacted store and warranty company who sent someone out to jumpstart car. Battery was reading 4 amps and engine light came on. Jumped car and was able to drive to nearest CarMax for them to tell me it the Engine Oil Pressure Control. Call store again, spoke with Service tech and asked did they thoroughly check the car, his exact words “no, we don’t waste time double checking what the other store should have already done”. Tech called back hours later and said the service manager was working on getting my car towed back to the store and getting me into a rental because if I keep driving car it could lock up on me while I’m driving. 24 hours passed and I didn’t hear back from Service Tech or Service Manager. Now car is loosing power, dashboard went back. Called CarMax again, spoke with Assistant Mgr, told him what was going on, he asked did I want another car or did I want this one fixed. At this point I want another car. He said he would speak with service manager and get back with me, so guess what….it’s the end of the day and NO ONE has called back. Tomorrow is day 3 waiting for a response. I tried calling back 2 times, but so was told each time that they are busy helping other customers. I am not able to pay out of pocket for the repairs as the tech first suggested so I am stuck in NY until I hear back from them. Hope they will rectify this issue.

While I’ve had friends purchase from CarMax plenty of times, this was my first time dealing with them. I had a fantastic experience, I really enjoyed the flexibility of my sales agent Willie and the amount of vehicles to choose from! Wonderful experience!

I have always had great experiences with the greenwood carmax with my past interactions. But we just got our new acadia and had some issues and had to deal with the service department. My go to guy Mel in your service department is top notch. He has done and looked over and come up with a solution for every thing I've had a problem with. He has went above and beyond to make things right and make me happy. Mel is definitely someone who should be recognized within the company for keeping carmax clients happy.
