Big shout-out to Lawrence in the kitchen for making hands down the best breakfast sandwich to ever exist. My taste buds won't be forgetting that amazing meal in a long time!
We visited here on a Saturday morning for brunch around 10:30am. Very fast service, no wait time, and attentive staff. Our waitress Samantha was very kind and easily reachable any time I had a request. We both got the Sicilian lemonade stand and I had the breakfast sandwich while my partner had the shaved prime rib dip.
The lemonade was pretty sour! I like my lemonade sweeter but my partner loves his sour and he really enjoyed the drink. He said his meal was pretty good, the horseradish wasn't over powering, the meat cuts weren't fatty, and the flavors were great but the bread itself didn't compliment the sandwich well. He felt it needed a more denser bread to help soak up the flavors of the broth and meat without falling apart. My sandwich was heaven. The hash brown was crispy, it wasn't too try or wet, and the potatoes on the side were also cooked crispy but flavorful. The spicy mayo it comes with was too spicy for my mouth to handle but I received it on the side and the parts I did pare it with definitely elevated the flavor of the sandwich. 10/10 for this breakfast. Will definitely want to come back to try their other items after how amazing that one was.

First time ever at a culinary dropout and I am very impressed. The atmosphere was super chill. The service was awesome and the food was beyond amazing. We ate the deviled eggs for the appetizer and then shared (they even split the portions in half for us) a salad and the most amazing curry I’ve ever had! I will definitely make the effort to go back here when in Arizona again.

We were visiting family in the East Valley and looking for a new lunch option. With recommendations online as well as from locals, we decided to give it a try. The outdoor seating was pleasant, though starting to get a bit warm during the lunch hour. Our server was prompt, helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive. The food was on point and as expected. The butternut squash salad was an unexpected delight, as was the slaw that came with the ribs.

First time visiting. Have a reservation or get there early on a Friday or weekend night. Expect to wait. It's very popular.

Drink prices were reasonable!

Just shared appetizers, no main dishes.

Pork Nachos were alright. A little lack luster on the cheese. But all in all tasted good and the chips were thin and crunchy which is a plus.

The Brussel sprouts were the highlight winner. I was very pleased with the crispy texture paired with a almost bitter sauce. It was great and I'll be back just to shake down the cook for a recipe ;)

Haven’t been here in a while and it was so good! It is expensive but otherwise I loved my spicy margarita and I got the brunch fried chicken with a biscuit and egg. So good. I loved my drink too, it was actually spicy.

Food and service was outstanding. Family enjoyed the pretzel and cheese appetizer, salad, beef sandwich, kids macaroni and cheese, and I had an order of deviled eggs. Food was portioned well, salad, sandwich and, kids meals are huge.

Such a cool vibe. Female singer during brunch was awesome. Our server was really on top of it, made sure our drinks were never empty and that our food was brought pretty quickly for a Saturday brunch time. She was super friendly which made the whole experience awesome.

We fell in love with Downtown Gilbert and the Culinary Dropout is a great place to hand out, get some chow & play a few rounds of corn hole or ping pong! Food was great, we will be back again!

The steak is not good, but the drink was amazing. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and lovely. It also got a large patio to sit in. Don’t miss out this place if you wanna have some great time in Gilbert.

We just stopped for a beer and ended up having a little lunch. The waitress was absolutely fantastic. Full of enthusiasm and information about any question we had regarding the menu or the beer selection. Overall a great place and I would eat here again. I wish I remembered the name of the waitress.

4.5/5. I had a really great experience for a fair price. The food is expensive, but of all the 5 dishes I tried, pretty much everything was a winner. Even the items I was apprehensive about, like the meatloaf and the katsu sandwhich.

The drinks were nothing special, but they had a lot of variety.

Great atmosphere and location, too. I'd def bring out of Towner's to this spot!

We've been there on weekends, so busy, but this past Tuesday was even better! My husband, daughter and I went for an impromptu dinner around six o'clock. I've only begun reviewing and this was worth it! Yes, we eat early, and love it! No wait- (shhh)
First, our server, Nikki, was fa-mazing!! I don't know if it's the training, or Nikki's personality, however, Nikki is the goal of servers! Servers "intrusion" was perfect! 💖The portions were also on-point. We didn't leave feeling overwhelmed. My husband ordered the fried chicken. My teen daughter ordered a Garden Mule (which she said, "it's so refreshing") and the Peking Duck and shrimp fried rice. She's not a shrimp lover, so we helped her with that, yay! She has never tried duck, so thank you to TCD for expanding her pallet. She did mention it was "sweet", we all tried it, she was correct (it's good to know before you order). Yet, it was still delicious. I ordered the steak frites, and...yes! I mentioned to Nikki, I'm picky regarding the cook on my steak. She listened. The kitchen staff listened. It was delicious! I was most impressed with how everything arrived at the perfect temp. The plates weren't heated, yet the chicken was hot and the coleslaw (also very good, I don't like a sweet slaw) was chilled, along with the mashed potatoes and gravy, still being warm (well done line and expo!). Of course, my hubby would have loved more mashed potatoes and gravy, who wouldn't?? Again, it made then portion "control" lovely. So, we (our daughter) had to order desert. Hands down, The Mississippi Mud Pie! I don't have a sweet tooth but this balanced put sweet, bitter, crunchy and creamy, just so! Again: fa-mazing!
I only have one picture because I was side-tracked but the food speaks for itself. Though, here is the grand finale...

This was our last dinner experience closing out our trip to AZ and it did NOT disappoint! The service from start to finish was outstanding! I think our servers name was Keegan. My mom can be a little picky, but he went above and beyond to make sure she had a great experience. The food was top tier! We are Southerners and it can be hard to please us when it comes to fried chicken, but that chicken and mashed potatoes was to die for! We also had the salmon dip 😋 and the chicken katsu I believe. Everything was sooooo good! Thank you for being such great hosts!!!! Bring it to Nashville!

Great food and great service! I’ve been here a few times, and my favorite menu options are the fish & chips, the grilled asparagus, and the crusty bread shareable. Awesome chill vibes too (just be warned, it can get loud with the live music!)

4/14/2024 I feel the need to share what an amazing experience we had with our large group, celebrating my niece's graduation from nursing school. We rented the Heritage Room and it exceeded my expectations.

Our server, Nikki (not sure how she spells it! I'm also a Niki and I know that there are 300 diff ways to spell it haha!) was outstanding. So unbelievably helpful, attentive and kind. She handled a group of 26 guests like it was a basic party of 8. She took care of each guest with ease and was quick to respond with food requests.

Thanks again, Nikki!!!

I went with my two boys for lunch on a Friday, and they loved it. The food was excellent. They also serve a great Negroni and a variety of cocktails. The space is welcoming with beautiful decor. We didn’t have to wait to be seated, and the food came quickly and was very tasty.
