Such a cool place! Friendly staff. Clean dining area. Great food. Lots of nostalgia. Must see if you are in the area.

Try either of the hot dogs. My favorite was the Whoopskidawg. My husband liked the Superdawg better. Great place for trying authentic Chicago food and the history is great and atmosphere was so fun! We tried 2 types of beer also and they were very good with the dogs. Oh and a chocolate malt for dessert was nice to take on a walk by the river behind the restaurant.

My husband and I did the drive-in. It was fun, brought back memories of the good ol’ days. Food was really good. The hot dog and fries comes in a small box that looks like it isn’t much but they really stuff that box. Even had a pickled tomato. The fries are real, not the processed stuff. Definitely worth the trip there (it’s a good drive from our house).

It's been MANY, MANY, MANY years that I've been to this hot dog joint!!!! Since my job isn't far away from this place, I just had to treat myself!!!! So worth it!!!

I have been a fan of the original Superdawg on Milwaukee and Devon for decades. I was hopeful this location would meet my expectations and was pleased that they did. My favorite Whoopskidawg was delicious prepared their traditional special sauce (BBQ) on an onion roll and grilled onions - I cannot recommend this enough. We tried the Whoopercheesie ( a double cheese burger) and a Superdawg. It was a wonderful fall day, and we were able to take advantage of the ample outdoor seating.

They have a great chicken sandwich and their burgers are on point. The hot dogs are a bit pver priced. But the service and atmosphere can't be beat! Absolutely wonderful time!

Tried out Superdawg today. Cool little place. They have outside park and order or you can come inside. About 30 -40 seats inside. That make the iconic Chicago dog so no ketchup here ( unless for your fries). I got just the regular Superdawg- I comes with fries . It was really good. The fries were crispy and great tasting as well. Everything tasted fresh and had a good flavor. Inside was clean and ordering quick and efficient. Staff was friendly and speedy. They have a great themed restaurant and access off the road is easy. Going to be back for another visit soon!

Fantastic, the best hot dog in America in my humble opinion! The Whoopercheesie is awesome too!!! Service and food are outstanding!!!

Had the Superdawg and fries for dine in. It was a great order! I'd definitely like to go there again and try more of the menu

Went here on Volkswagen Invasion night! Lots of vintage VWs and great music.
The Chicago hot dog is a double sized dog and very tasty. We ate inside but you can also get service from your car. Always great food and fun atmosphere.

It’s not the original location in Chicago but this place has the same flair when ordering at the drive up. I always get the superdawg, in the box packed with fries and green tomatoes. It’s the best! Can’t go wrong. Kids love the drive up and the food is amazing. For a real treat go to the Chicago location. @food_from_the_usa

Such a fun experience! We ordered from our car at the drive up and had the food delivered to our car. We got hot dogs and burgers, plus some fries. Everything was good! I loved the sliced green tomatoes that came with each sandwich.

Classic Chicago staple. Hiya! I have been going to the location in the city since I was a toddler. We saw Chevy Chase once there, actually. It's nice to have a Wheeling location. I wish they would put a few more spread out around the suburbs. Ideal spots could be Naperville, Oakbrook, and Schaumburg. They have their stellar hot dogs and burgers, but so much more as well. Heres a tip! Most orders include fries already, and it's like 2.50 cheaper to remove the fries from your order. So if you have anyone that doesn't want fries with their portion, you can save some money on your order. This site has a drive-thru, dine in, and classic drive up options. I love that they have a lot of memorabilia displayed for purchase here, too.

I love the food here, it’s absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a good chicago hotdog and incredible fries this is the place. The outdoor seating here is charming and a wonderful place to bring dogs if you own them as well!

9/16/23 update - still the classic vibe and great taste but the facility was very dirty for noon on a Saturday.

I don’t think that SuperDawg even need’s reviews because it speaks for itself when you go! A Chicago staple that my family and I love going to! It’s very nostalgic and retro! Love the food esp the green tomatoes!! The shakes are the best as well! It is a little on the pricey side but very worth it and the food is made to order! Great in all types of weather since you can eat in your car, go inside or sit on the outside tables! If you haven’t been here… ummm what are you waiting for??

I LOVE SUPERDAWG. I don’t even get any of the things they are known for, but for some reason the chicken midgies slap harder than a back hand to the chest. With out further a do let’s get into the Order. You get chicken and fries and some sauce. I get BBQ sauce because it is superior to all condiments, who is actually putting ketchup on anything and going, “This taste absolutely magnificent, I want to eat this burger until it’s gone and then there is ketchup all over your fingers. Any who, let’s talk about the chicken, I love it so much it taste so good even though it is clearly not the best quality I think it taste so good with the atmosphere. But the fries are so good, when you bite into one it’s like learning that the guy who sings “Solsbury Hill” is the same guy who sings “Shock The Monkey” its like a relief. Okay but the chocolate ice cream is so good, I absolutely love the ice cream with the cherry on top. And the atmosphere is to die for. So if you ask me then I would say, “If you’re in Chicago, then you must go to superdawg.”

What a great place! It was a very very cool location to show my family. My son was so intrigued by everything at Superdawg. The food was good, and my son is already talking about wanting to go again! The only limitation we saw was trying to save room for dessert :)
