Portillo's Arlington Heights

Came here because we wanted a hot beef sandwich. They have the best cheese sauce to dip your fries in. Every portillos we have been to has awesome decor.

I’ve been to Chicago before, but this time I’m looking for good Chicago-style food. Mainly a Chicago Dog, and a Chicago deep dish pizza.
Today I got the dog. Glad I did. Jumbo dog, with whatever comes on it.

Great place like all Portillos locations.

I had been told this is one of those "must visit" places when visiting Chicago. I would definitely agree: you need to go here while in Chicago!

We tried the Italian Beef sandwich, the combo (Italian Beef + Sausage), Hot Dog, Double Burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings.

The Italian Beef was pretty good, but the Combo was where this place shines. The combination of Italian Beef and the sausage was very good.

While I didn't personally taste the burgers, they looked good and I was told by those who did taste them that they WERE good!

The fries were pretty good (crinkle cut fries), and the onion rings were good.

Overall the food was good, the service was good, and this is a place that is definitely worth a visit!

Always great food, but I wanted to leave a review just to comment on the employees. Went today during the dinner rush and the drive thru crew's patience, kindness and efficiency was impressive, shout out to them.

The spicy chopped chicken salad is amazing and the garden dog was also a hit.

I always love Portillo's. I've been to several locations, and they have been consistently good.
I've done take-out & dine-in - both are fine.
On the last visit, we were a bit early for lunch on a Saturday, and there was plenty of seating. The dining area was clean.
I believe my wife had the fish sandwich and she loved it.
I had the Maxwell Polish done "Chicago style", and it was great too.
We shared fries - they were good too.

Was here on vacation. All I wanted after that 1st bite of a beef sandwich was another bite!!!!! I call it Chicago crack, cuz you get hooked after that 1st taste. I made sure to get a big beef and tamales to go in my carryon bag so I had one to eat when I got home. I tried everything on menu. There is nothing bad at all. Awesome place. All the hype is so worth it.even chapstick is good.

I can’t recommend Portillo’s enough! Highly recommend their Chicago style hot dogs, chili, chopped salad, cheese fries, Italian beef, broiled chicken on French bread and ribs. Also their root beer floats, chocolate cake shake and chocolate cake!

I have to say one of my favorite places to get food. I just wish it was not right outside of my gym that I go to undo all that hard work. Definitely a must go to for anybody visiting Chicago.

Everything was fast and tasted good. Fun environment. Only thing they messed up was we asked for only pickles on two of the hot dogs (for the kids) and we got them with everything on them. They let us keep the wrong ones and gave us the correct ones. But we were glad we decided to dine in, otherwise would have found the error at home.

Every thing was so good! The Italian beef sandwich was delicious , the best beef sandwich I have had. Which I know is saying a lot! I got a Chicago dog which was really good too, fries were ok, better dipped in cheese! But wow the Italian beef was spot on!

Whenever I visit Chicago, Portillo's is on our places to eat list. My favoraite is the Italian beef and saugage combo samdwich with hot and sweet peppers. That crunchy roll dipped in the gravy is also necessary.

Even though the food is always great, the service could be better. First, the person got our order wrong and I had to go back to the resturant because I did not check my bag before I left. I should not have to check my bag for accuracy. But when I went back and explained the problem, the server gave me another sandwich without charging me so that helped. I stood next to the window for a good few minutes before he asked me if I needed service. The service agents need to show intitiative when serving customers. This was the 806 W Dundee location, by the way.

Portillo's always hits the spot when I want to grab a quick dog and an order of fresh, hot, perfectly crunchy onion rings on the way home!

They have the greatest drive-thru staff - always friendly & efficient day & night, 12 months of the year! That is a tall order in this climate🥰

As busy as it is, this Portillo’s is a classic. Fresh food, great employees & affordable prices. I deliver for Ubereats from here too when I’m in the area, and sometimes when an order has something that seems really good I go back and order it myself. I’m always impressed. I hope this franchise stays around for a while, and based off the drive thru and foot traffic, I’m sure I’m correct on this one.

We love Portillo’s. The food is great as well as the ambiance. If you come to Chicago portillos is a place you must go. Everything is good. You need to try the hot dogs, the beefs, and the burgers. You will not be disappointed. My only complaint, if you ask for a water it is very small. The drive thru line does get a little crazy at lunch but they manage it very well.

Italian Beef and Cheese fries are so.good!!! And the chopped salad with mix shredded cheese instead of gorgonzola!! Staff is always nice and bathrooms and tables are always clean!

I visited this Portillo’s location with my 4yr old son as we waited for my Ford to be serviced across the street. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheese dog with French fries and my son loved his fries and vanilla shake. The service was speedy and friendly and the atmosphere lively and festive. Looking forward to next time enjoying our local favorite, Portillo’s!

Staff are so friendly. The food is great, I just love the beef sandwich!

This location has stepped up their game! Nice job!! Food was out quickly, and CORRECT which hasn't happened in a long time. We will definitely come back.

Fast drive thru, runners did a great job getting everyone's food delivered as fast as possible. Food was delicious and hot. Can't beat the chocolate cake shake!
