Lovely place. Pretty atmosphere with quiet easy to listen to music. The wait staff are all quiet, pleasant, easy going. The food is perfect. The spices in each dish are unique tasty, and just right. The dishes are light not too heavy. My favorites are the Dal and shrimp masala, sheet perfection. The veggie dumplings we got last time were also very good and quite filling.

My husband and I have moved up here to Jersey from miami and are amazed at the diversity that NJ. It’s beautiful. We wanted fo try Indian food for the first time and we can honestly say we were so satisfied with the food. Delicious flavor. Veggie soup I LOVED SO MUCH! Our entrees were delicious. Customer service was on point and the sangria was to die for. Honestly the best I’ve had in NJ. It had its own unique taste to it. Will be visiting again soon.

I wish I could give this place six stars just for their tandoori momos! I was transported back to Delhi.
My husband loved the Kashmiri kebabs as well - very well marinated and cooked!
For main course, we had Navratan Korma along with some rice and naan which were pretty good too. Korma is a bit on the sweeter side.
The staff and overall service was great, and I’m already planning to come back here soon.

Best Indian food in Hoboken! They take pride in great service. The Masala (we had it with Shrimp) is outstanding! If you are considering the Dal Makhani ... go for it, we are hooked! It reminds me of my visits to India.

Been to this place quite a few times and we are big fans now! The two items I would say are absolute must have are the steamed veggie momos and the paneer tikka tacos!

Those tacos are genuinely so so so tasty! And the momos here are our absolute favorites in JC / NYC. I don’t think anyone makes better momos than them - and if you disagree, we are happy to do a taste test haha. We have tried the fried momos and steamed momos and while both are great, we are partial to the steamed ones!

The owner, Mr Rana, is super friendly. He accommodated us on a busy night on Karwa Chauth, he is always super friendly when we walk in with our baby in her car seat or stroller and helps us make space and get her situated very comfortably.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing place, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was delightful, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The menu offered a diverse selection, and both the food and cocktails were nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend trying the Central Park and Whiskey Punch – absolute delights for the taste buds. The staff contributed significantly to the overall positive experience; their attentiveness and friendliness added a special touch to the evening. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, every aspect of our visit was simply amazing. I can't wait to return and indulge in more culinary delights!

I had tried some leftover biryani a friend bought home & since then I wanted to go & try the food here. It's by far the best examples of Indian cuisine that you can recommend to anyone here without a second thought! The quantity of is large. The tamarind cocktail is amazing! We got the fried veg momos, biryani, paneer kaju makhani. Will go again!

We ordered the chicken Fried momos, butter chicken, biryani. The food quality and taste is extreme wonderful. The services provided by their staff is quite impressive

My wife Linda stopped by for a pickup order the staff was very friendly and the food is incredible. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a meal.

The restaurant had really great appetizers. It had one of the best chicken chowmein (Indian) I ever had in the US. Their chicken momos and chicken kebab was also amazing . The appetizers increased our expectations for the main course but unfortunately did not meet our expectations. The chicken curry was subpar compared to appetizers. It was sour and tangy. The goat biryani also did not meet the expectations. The service was great though. Staff was friendly and nice.

Almost any dish is very well prepared and served here. My personal favorite are butter chicken (ask for spicy) and fried chicken dumplings. Oh the dumpling sauce is incredible! I would just go and eat dumplings here. Great place nice vibe.

Dining at Empyrean definitely hit the mark. This unassuming Indian restaurant in Hoboken offers a great dining experience that offers a host of culinary delights that will enthrall you. We ordered a host of different dishes, including the Veg Momo, the Paneer Tikka, the Peshawari Chole, the Dal Makhani, Malai Kofta, and a host of accompanying breads and rice. We greatly enjoyed everything, and topped it off with an excellent cup of Chai.

All in all, we were delighted by the experience and are looking forward to returning for more.

I have ordered from and dined at this restaurant multiple times and I love it. I have had a couple of items from here over time and they all have been delicious. Their tandoori chicken is yum and tastes authentic (unlike most of the restaurants around JC, its not just some colored chicken, it actually has a charred tandoor taste). Their momos are a hit too but it’s their chutney that makes the difference. I would also recommend the tamarind margarita, its flavorful and has a good punch. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and they have good portions. It’s a bit on the expensive side but worth their tasty food and quantity. Bonus : if you dine in, they serve complimentary papads.

the best upscale, classy and very very clean Indian restaurant in Hoboken. but after ordering food from Empyrean there is only coming back for more. Best for dine in and take out. Excellent menu for both Meat eating and veggie folks. Friendly staff and really good Drinks Menu too. we love their chole and Bombay aloo. They use all ecofriendly cutlery for takeout so can almost have a guilt free meal without worrying about the plastic box.
Honestly, we were always disappointed with options along the JC to Edgewater area. Now this our only go to place.

Worth every penny. Really tasty and flavorful Indian food .specifically the malai kofta was melt in the mouth perfectly made with flavors on point.

One of the best Indian food I've had in a while. Made freshly and very good quality and quantity that I took some leftovers home. We had Fish Tikka which includes salmon and Chicken Kali Mirch. The sauce was just right with us, mild, and the samosa were good too. Loved the curry with rice it gives an extra smooth flavor. The servers were great, very attentive and helpful.

I am just impressed by their consistency!! It is not easy to maintain and to find consistent good and similar taste over the course of a few years now !! this time we ordered, Malai kofta, kaju butter masala and paneer momo. kaju masala had actually a good quantity of kaju. I really loved it. Keep up the good work, we will visit soon!

Update on 06/09/22-

Note- They give complementary papad. Do not go with High Spice level if you cannot tolerate. Medium Spice level would work just fine.

We live 100 miles from this place. when we visited the first time in Fall of 2021, we loved the taste and everything about this place was best! It is difficult to get authentic Indian taste around the area.

We viaites this second time on 06/09/22 and we ordered Daal Tadka, Paneer Teeka Masala, Momos and naans.

I was very much surprised by their taste. Still very much the same taste and consistency. Still 5 out of 5.

Fall 2021-

One of the best restaurants in the area to try Indian Fine Dinning! Food, ambience and service all are good! Slightly higher on the price but definitely worth it, portion is good too! Must try, Vegetarian steamed dumplings, garlic chili naans, daal makhani and Paneer Tika Masala. Be careful when you order spicy food/ high level spice.

So. Good. A more upscale Indian food place with Indian influenced cocktails. Paneer momos were amazing as was the cauliflower 64 ! (We also got the lo mein and chicken vindaloo which were se looks as well). Nice staff and chef, we asked foe extra crispy cauliflower and spicy and they delivered ! We had plenty left over for leftovers as well
