Waffle House

I make it a point to come to this Waffle House whenever I’m in town. The service is always great and the food is always good. I never stray from my usual.. all star special with a fruit punch.

Already thinking about my return!

I drove 1 hour to come here and it was WORTH it, the food was amazing and the place and atmosphere was pretty good. And my waitress and food timing was amazing. My waitress was extremely nice and helpful, gave some Waffle House sauce and the food was so good, and it came fast too, no long waiting. Would drive an hour or 2 to come here again. Props to the waitress Mandy, insanely nice and I hope everyone gets her as the waitress.

Only WH in the area and They were super busy, too 20 mins b4 we could order but no problem, they held it together and the service was great. The menu has changed not T bone steaks anymore, but its ll good

My girlfriend and I stopped through here on our way home from a concert in Dover. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. The food was tasty and came out quick. I would recommend this Waffle House to all.

I'd come back for the waffles and hash browns
Food - it's a diner with limited menu, but I was surprised how good the waffles and hash brown were. The waffles looked like the batter was thicker and the waffle maker seems to make them thinner than most I've tried. You're left with a creamer proportion of crunch to soft inside. The hash browns were very tasty and crunch just right. I'd try well done next time. I'm not sure if they cut the potatoes smaller than other places, but theirs something about how it's prepared that makes me want more.

Service - the short order cook was on it and probably could have handled everything, but seemed like he was training a new waiter. It got busy while we were there. Went from zero to 20 people in 10 minutes and they took care of all.

Good food, good service & really nice people. I think that sausage gravy is somebody's grandma's recipe. Yolanda was so nice and very sweet. The cleanliness is on point which is a big deal for me. All the staff were cleaning while we were there. One thing I also need to comment on is the fact that I didn't hear the staff speaking loudly or inappropriately while they were in front of the customers. This is a growing problem at some of the local eateries. Well done WH staff!

The food was very good, and my wait time was only about 10-15 minutes. It was crowded but my food came to the table quickly. I will definitely go back again.

Neat little restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The prices are cheap and you get alot of food on your plate. Theres counter seating and tables to sit at. The waitresses make sure your food is brought hot and fresh. You can watch them cook the food.

I was in for a late breakfast travelling through Delaware. I'm a Jersey guy and while we have plenty of awesome diners we don't have any Waffle House. I spent a few years in GA and FL so I know what I'm missing. Also, I've worked every position in a restaurant from top to bottom and I have over 20 years in the industry.
My experience today was one of the best examples of what the hospitality industry should be...
I walked into a gentleman putting down a new floor mat by the door. He said "good morning c'mon in, we have a fresh red carpet for you" I laughed said thank you and headed to the counter. Nicole greeted me and took my order and then I got to enjoy the show. My breakfast came out quickly and correctly. It was somewhat slow but the entire staff was still engaged and helped each other. I quickly noticed that the man who greeted me was the manager. Not by name tag but by his energy. He owns every piece of that restaurant. He watched the grill register and every table while he was doing other tasks. All with a beaming smile. He even gave the heads up to the staff as he saw a regular pulling in. I believe I overheard the man likes well done bacon so they started cooking it before he was even parked. Shortly after that the manager was holding the door for the regular, who is older and uses a cane. Everyone was all smiles and happy to see each other. As the gentleman walked to his table the manager threw some James Brown on the jukebox. I thought... man did he do that just for the customer? Sure enough the regular then starts talking smack to the younger staff that they don't know nothin about James Brown lol.
Rory Douglas is the manager. I know because I went out of my way to call and ask after I left. I was blown away by the phenomal experience Rory provided. He is an absolute shining star in his field. It's clear the pride he takes in his work. You can see it trickle down to his staff as well. It seems he's established a great work environment.
Here's the part where I could say something like "keep up the good work" but it's a waste. I know Rory is going to keep absolutely crushing it. If this location isn't a training store you're making a mistake. Rory is an absolute professional and he could easily be the model for all waffle house management.

Hey, it's a Waffle House. I've gotten too old to roll into this joint at 2:00 in the morning after having had a few drinks, but it's still the place I'll go to for some good and greasy breakfast fare at any other hour of the day. And the coffee is always on point.

It had been quite a few years since I had been to a Waffle House, but it was just as I remembered and the food and service were great!

Great food, excellent service at the Waffle House, the prices have also increased.

Very clean. Fast service. Cannot beat the WH for value. Food is good for the price. Sort of school cafeteria food in a good school.

First time in a Waffle House. This one was in Middletown, DE. There was a short wait on Saturday morning, December 16. 2023. It was much smaller than I had anticipated inside. Once our party of 4 was seated, our waiter came right over with menus. I am from North Carolina originally, so I grew up eating grits. They have a menu item with grits, sausage, and eggs. I really can't remember, but what I can say for sure is that I have never had grits from a restaurant that I didn't need to add salt to get the flavor where it should be. This grits came to the table, ready-to-eat!!! It was delicious!!!

This is the best place ever. More of a waffle home than a waffle house.

Very nice service the ladies here are amazing so attentive and so sweet we stopped by to eat breakfast in our road trip. When I am in DE this is my go to place. LOVE IT!

This was the CLEANEST Waffle House I’ve ever visited! It’s a touch free service meaning no menus. you scan the code with your phone and use your phone. Individual packets of salt and pepper, syrup, butter and everything else. Even when you pay. Thank you Venessa

We were there two weeks ago. I left my classes there after the meal. I called when I got back to New York and they promised to keep them for me. Two weeks later I went to the House for my classes and I got them. I was impressed by a tall guy who was so polite and friendly telling us that he kept them high to make sure they wouldn’t get damaged by any incident. I’m very grateful for their considerate attitude towards customer.
