Surf Hut

Great beach front restaurant with your expected beach themed dishes. I got the taco trip which was good...but a bit over stuffed so was quite messy. Like the mix of tacos though. Service was decent. Atmosphere is hard to beat right on the sand with beautiful views. Would go back again!

We were seated immediately, and Ashley arrived to take our drink order as we were sitting. She was knowledgeable and explained our substitution options, and was very attentive throughout dinner.
The Gumbo and the Captains Platter were great. The pre-packaged tartar sauce was not so good.

I always worry about getting to a restaurant close to closing, but nothing to worry about at Surf Hut! We were welcomed at the door, and had the kindest waitress. Our food was absolutely delicious: I had the taco trio and my daughter had the Big Kahuna. Excellent presentation and so flavorful! We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.

We were seated right away. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip for the appetizer. The blackened shrimp tacos served with jasmine rice and black beans for the entree. Our server was very attentive. We had a good time.

We went back for a second time! We had the same server and even had a visit with the manager Al and let me tell you, if you don't ask to be in Tawni's section you aren't being taken care of!! Al was super hospitable to us and our kids! Service was second to none and the food was still phenomenal. 10/10 recommend!

Went based on a recommendation and it far exceeded expectations! The food was incredible and the price was fair!

We had a party of 16 on a Friday afternoon. We were seated fairly quickly. Food was decent. Location is spectacular. We came by Golf Cart. The long island was strong and just what I needed!! Its defiantly worth checking this place out!

First time eating at this restaurant. Wonderful experience. Staff was very attentive. Ate outside looking at ocean while eating. 5 stars to Claire our hostess. Will visit again. Soon

Surf Hut was a convenient dining option for us, just a few minutes away via walking along the beachfront. I liked the casual atmosphere with plenty of TVs on display for sports and patio in the back with several tables and cornhole boards.

Compared to other beachside seafood restaurants during our trip, I found Surf Hut's offerings better tasting and more reasonably priced.

Can't imagine a more perfect place to have a meal or just a drink by the beach. The place is very cool with so many different places to sit. The stuff is fun and the food and drinks get it done. If we lived here we'd be coming weekly!

The food and service was amazing! I also can't leave out the great view of the beach and watching the sunset.

Great beach restaurant with a beautiful outdoor waiting area. It's also super that at such a busy restaurant they seem to have a bar tender dedicated to taking care of the waiting patrons (Natalie was awesome). The place was hopping at dinner time and after an hour wait (not bad for a big party on MNF night) they seated us. Our server Angel was great. Our drinks and food came out quickly and correctly.

It has the typical beach-side appeal and the atmosphere is busy and pretty noisy. They did have a beyond burger, which I appreciated. Sitting outside on the picnic tables waiting for a table on the beach watching people play cornhole was a blast. Several in our party wanted to eat or drink out there all night.

I'd highly recommend a visit, but keep in mind it is more expensive that the typical American fare and seafood but that comes with the beautiful location.

Across from Embassy Suites and directly on the beach, this busy local restaurant offers fast friendly service, fresh oysters and seafood. I enjoyed the oysters on the half shell and a generous and tast bowl of fresh gumbo before stepping out and enjoying the sunset from the back of the restaurant. Windows provide a great view of gulf and the also have outdoor seating. Casual, fun and a bit noisy. So not the place for a quiet dinner, but good food

The location of this restaurant is fantastic. The food is good but a little pricey. They have the best fish dip in the area and make a really great hamburger. Grab a seat at the bar or a table on the back porch, you'll enjoy it.

Fantastic spot! Food was delicious, absolutely tasted fresh. Grits were amazing Our waiter was perfect, he didn't come over too much, kept our drinks topped off, perfect service.

Great joint to go to if you're looking for a classy beach bar/restaurant. Fish tacos were great, and the barkeeps were very attentive and friendly. I went around 6:30-7:00, and I would recommend getting there earlier, as it seems to be very popular for dinner time.

We had an amazing experience! My husband and I had dinner here for the first time. The staff members were wonderful, the food was really good, and the atmosphere was beautiful! Our server Austin was amazing and upbeat. He told us about the menu and what he recommended. We ordered the captain platter, fried pickles, and blackened cobia fish. We really liked it. The fish and all the seafood was fresh. The fried pickles are the bread and butter sweet pickles which we really good. Loved to come back definitely!

Excellent evening! Short wait for outside table near the beach. Delicious food - we had taco trio and rack of ribs. Very well prepared - so happy that tacos were made with fresh CORN tortillas, not flour as so many restaurants are doing. Anyone from the west coast knows that tacos are made of corn torts and burritos are made with flour torts! View of the Veatch and surf were awesome and the sunset was the icing on the cake - there are steps down to the beach!

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is friendly. The service was quick. I ordered shrimped wrapped in bacon and stuffed with crab. It was served with a horseradish dip, which was good. I also had a cucumber, squash, zucchini salad and garlic mashed potatoes on the side. It was delish!!
