Up North Farm Market

One place you must visit if you're on vacation near Pentwater, especially if you have children! The farm animals are friendly and love their picture taken. Super cute inside with a cafe and gift shop. The fresh fruits and vegetables are locally grown. I love their baked goods, especially the cinnamon rolls. They have a draft beer bar and several sandwich and soup options for lunch. Annual stop every year on vacation, never disappointed!

Great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Saw the animals, played on the playground, ate an amazing lunch and got a few gifts.

Perfect! Cozy, the right size, and feels like it’s your own ranch/backyard! Friendly, warm, and clean! Bathroom has a diaper changing table, and those support handles for those who need extra support. Clean! They have cute high chairs, water bowls for pets, multiple tables, rocking chairs, nice rock display even, dispersed about. The cutest table clothes. The hanging lights feel like you’re at a family gathering almost. Fresh foods, groceries and meals for light shopping. Variety of drinks and you can relax with a draft beer out on the back patio (if that’s your thing), we do kids lemonades lol! Yes- assortment of cute animals to adore, and a great play area. Sandbox that’s big enough to share, plenty of toys in it, the most darling wee barn with slide, and a climbing dome. It’s just all the right size, not too overwhelming. Simple yet grand. I SO appreciate how it’s all enclosed and “safe” feeling. Really appreciate this gem of a place.

A nice market just north of Mears. There is also an outdoor petting zoo that kids loved. Alcohol is available to adults on-site for consumption. Very well taken care playground equipment. A great place to spend a couple of hours if you're in the area.

Stopped here on a trip north. Was able to enjoy a cold beer while the kids fed the animals. Lunch was very good. We all enjoyed this lovely place & are looking forward to returning.

Very cute little place to go with the kids, they loved feeding the animals, didn't get chance to try any cooked food (only the refrigerated stuff) but it smelled and looked delicious, definitely will be back again to try more

Great sandwich and salad shop with wine and beer. We had both Reubens and have tried the chef salad and the chicken bacon melt, all great! We love bringing kids here for the petting farm and playground. Also the nursery has a good selection and they have a pock your own bouquet for 15$ we had a ball making huge arrangements! It's a relaxing set up and we try to go whenever we are near.

Took the grandbaby here with my mother in law. It was so great. I, 100%, expected to have to pay to pet the animals and was super pleased that we could let our little one run around and play without an entry fee. They had amazing products for sale and even serve glasses of WINE! I will definitely be returning soon.

Cute petting zoo for kids and adults like myself :). We had sandwiches there that were pretty good, and they have a good selection of local wines and ciders/beers. Glad we stopped by!

Really nice there. Very good food and a nice place to sit outside and watch the animals. The staff are very friendly.

Picked out some fresh asparagus and other produce, then ordered some fresh made sandwiches and drinks to eat out on their back porch. My wife got a chance to pet a goat. We'll be back!

Such a fantastic little store and farm. Best sandwiches we had eaten in a long time! Lots of Michigan products, beautiful grounds, and feeding the animals was so fun! We aren't in Hart often, but we will absolutely be stopping here again!

Awesome farm store! Great variety of gift items and food! Animals were well taken care of and pens were super clean. All the animals love attention. This place is a fun stop with the kids or adults!

A great place to stop for food and to allow the kids to play.

Great place to take the kids and relax. Great food, a lot of local products sold. Nice bar for the parents to enjoy a beer or glass of wine while the kids play. What's cool is they open at 8am now. So if you want a little bite to eat for breakfast you can stop in before work.

Great place to take the kids. They loved petting and feeding the animals and playing on the playground. Didn't try any of the food but the menu looked good. We stopped by the garden center to look at the beautiful flowers and plants too.

Best sandwiches around. Good beer on tap. Relaxed environment good for kiddos to hang out and see the animals. Great unique gifts and select groceries makes it a one stop shop!

I spent about four hours at this business while my wife visited with a couple of her college friends she rarely sees. We brought our three year old grandson, who was delighted to feed the petting zoo animals, play with the many toys and the slide and sandbox, and play with the many other kids his age there. It is a VERY kid and family friendly environment. The food we ordered was not expensive, but was delicious. We were not pushed to hurry up and leave at any point, and my interactions with the staff was friendly. Many families were doing the same, and the kids were having fun and the adults were too. I recommend this establishment for families with young kids especially, because there are many fun things to occupy the kids, and because you can spend time here without a big outlay of cash.
