Dickens Alley stands out among other antique places because of Dons very keen eye for unique and interesting objects whether that be books, tables, chairs, display perches, kitchenware or jewelry. That's why you must go back again. His turnaround on items is faster than most - lead with your "I gotta have this price" and don't think it's going to be there when you go back next week! I've purchased a few gems here and love to browse when I am in downtown Loveland. Great store - don't miss it!

We've always enjoyed browsing at Dicken's Alley whenever in downtown Loveland. We've purchased a few things and we've always gotten a bit of a deal.

A nice friendly place to find books, jewelry, furniture, Knick knacks and more. It’s like stepping back in time.

Large selection of varied inventory. A little more expensive than I'd expected, but print books are becoming more and more rare.

I think this place is pretty nice, there's interesting stuff to look at and I did enjoy browsing. But the man attending was pretty rude towards my friends. At some point a couple of us had gotten mildly loud because we both mistook an item design for something it wasn't, and the man walked up from around the corner and asked if everything was alright and then proceeded to say we were "having too much fun." That's definitely something I could see being a joke, however there was no smile on his face and he just looked at me and my friend blankly. We said we'd keep it down and walked away. The guy was apparently short with my other friends too, I don't quite remember what was said but it wasn't a good exchange. I had also watched one of my friends asking about some bracelets, and asking if they were wholly silver. My friend had realized they weren't because when testing it, some of it scraped off. So those bracelets were put back. At some point later some of my friends were talking in a doorway by the counter and the man asked something along the lines of whether or not they were "actually going to buy or just play with everything." By then I just stated that we should just leave. While I understand the concern about customers handling items, being rude is not how you get anyone to buy anything. It's unfortunate that such behavior overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable visit.

so i went here the other day…my friend and i were quietly minding our business…all of the sudden we hear a lock. this miserable, ugly, old man (the owner) was at the front door and said we can’t leave until we answer his three riddles like he was some troll. my friend went to call for help on her phone but he grabbed it. i swear i could hear him say “FE FI FO FUM” as he was running towards her. then he threw it on the ground and stomped on it!! the whole building shook. it was so scary i dropped my bag of cheetos i was holding. worst part was when he landed, a roach fell out of his hair!!!!. very weird experience. not to mention the things in there are borderline racist. i went to pick up my friends phone off the ground but two rats were already fighting over the cheetos right on top of it! disgusting place. would not reccomend
