The Channelside

Getting toward the end of the season. Deck was closed, but the food was still good. Veggie burger was good and fresh made. Sausage Sandwich was cooked perfectly. Not too busy on a Sunday night. Server, Lori, was very helpful.

The food was delicious. I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. If you like wine, they had a good variety. A few draft beers highlighting the local breweries and a vast cocktail menu. The staff was friendly, and reservations were accepted.

Waitress was courteous and friendly. Made lunch very enjoyable by offering the available amenities, but was not pushy or impatient. Great view of the water. Quality of the food is worth giving a five star plug!

My husband and I went here for dinner tonight and the food was amazing! He had the steak and I had the vegetable risotto and the cesar salad. My husband loved the steak, he said it was tender and juicy. I’m a vegetarian so of course I loved the vegetable risotto. Five stars all the way!

We came on a Sunday night, when most other dining locations happened to be closed. It was very busy and we didn’t have a reservation, but they sat us within 15 minutes! So fast! We sat outside and enjoyed the great view of the river. I ordered the Linguine Bolognese, while my boyfriend got the 50/50 Burger. Everything was delicious, and our server was fantastic! I hope to return the next time we’re in town.

The food is great and delicious. However, even though my food came late, I personally didn’t care at all and I wanted to stay outside from my boring room. The staff are nice and courteous too. Definitely will ask my friends to go try the food there.

Tasty food and warm staff. The beers we tried including blueberry, blue moon and Sam Adams all pretty good with flavor.

We happened to come on a Sunday evening and it was packed. We were lucky to grab some bar seats and avoid the long wait. We were lucky that the bartenders were wonderful and very attentive because about 5 mins after we ordered our food the power went out in the whole area for the rest of the evening.

We were very lucky because somehow our food still made it out and was pretty good. The prime rib was a big healthy portion and was cooked pretty close to medium rare. The scallops were a little chewy and didn’t have a char on them but they weren’t bad considering what just happened. At that point we were just happy to have food.

The bartenders let us enjoy our meal and took down our credit card for when the power went back on. They even texted us a copy of the receipt. We appreciated the hospitality while we were traveling.

Loved the place! I had the Island Burger and upgraded from chips to fries and everything was delicious! The waitresses were very nice and made sure we were comfortable sitting outside. Will definitely go back again!

We had an awesome view outside, the hostess was so nice, she wanted to make sure we were comfortable outside, then the waiter was great very nice he realized he messed up on dressing and came right back with the correct one. He made sure we like our food came back a few times thru out our meal then also asked us about desert. He recommended my daughter get all the sauces on the side when she asked for good she was happy he did that. Just all around awesome food, awesome service and an amazing view!

Great food and a fantastic location. Great view of the river from the deck.

I don't know if it was hornet season but all week we have constantly batting them away from our food and kids.

Not the restaurants fault, but if you're allergic make sure bring your epi pen.

Stop by here every year while staying on Grindstone island. Nice Riverview, great food, great service. Nice entertainment on this night.

Surprisingly the prices were pretty good, food was amazing for the price, I would have given 5 stars+++ BUT, we were forgotten after being seated and I had to ask for a server to help us..... they gave us our drinks for free (6 sodas/ teas) the server apologized a few times and was VERY pleasant. This is a great place and I highly reccomend!!!

Great time on the Channel! Free air show from vintage torpedo spitfire WW II! Great Mac-n-Cheese App. With couple cold ones. Great place to eat!

Showed up fairly late and didn't think we would be able to get a seat. Asked about outdoor seating and didn't think we'd be lucky enough, but the staff was cleaning a table right as we spoke and we were sitting with an incredible view just a few minutes later. The special of the day was swordfish steak, which I had never had, and it was delicious. Can't say enough good things about the staff either. Thank you all for making my visit to Clayton so enjoyable. I'll definitely be back!

This place was absolutely amazing. Our waiter was on top of his game and made sure everyone had everything they needed. The food was the best I have had in the thousand islands region and I have visited this area around 100 times plus. The view of the St. Lawrence channel at sunset was breathtaking. No idea why this place has only 4.3 stars.

Upscale American Diner food. Very well prepared. Great service (thank you Lori) and a lovely setting overlooking the river. We will be back in Clayton for another concert in a couple of weeks. No need to look for anywhere else to have dinner.

Excellent food! Wings are large, meaty, crispy. The burgers were amazing! Great atmosphere right on the river.

3rd. Year coming to this restaurant from Pennsylvania love the food and the atmosphere!

Absolutely a lovely American family restaurant in Clayton NY. Located on the mighty St. Lawrence River, you're greeted and served by friendly efficient staff. The menu has a compact menu for everyone's taste. Try the Mac and Cheese Seafood appetizer! A meal in itself. Or the Poutine smothered in rich gravy! There is a dessert selection tray expertly displayed and explained by a staff member. Try the Rice Pudding! To. Die. For!! Manga!
