Lalo's Mexican Grill

Lalo's Mexican Grill is a colorful and spacious restaurant located in downtown Madisonville. It includes several dining spaces and a bar, and has a full menu of items. The chicken fajitas were delicious and the serving size was ample. The servers were attentive and helpful. The guacamole appetizer is quite large and includes fried thick chips. The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic. Prices were very reasonable and the food arrived quickly.

I've been here twice already, and it's always been an excellent dining experience. The decor is really nice and feels very Mexico! They give out complimentary chips and salsa and black beans, which were so good. All their menu items come out delicious, so you can't go wrong with anything you order. Margaritas are massive, and they do the job!! Service is friendly and attentive.

5 stars!!!!! This place had THE best Mexican food that my husband and I have EVER had out at a restaurant EVER! EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! From the chips and yummy salsa, to the visually pretty as well as really delicious strawberry Margarita, to the actual meals that we ordered as well as the dessert- ALL of it was Ah-mazing!!!!! Our 2 girls inhaled their food and enjoyed every bite. The service was so fast as well as friendly and they gave my active duty Army husband a military discount off of our tab. Super nice of the owner to support our military like that. I love it when businesses appreciate us and it makes me want to just go do business with them more. Too bad we were only passing through town or else we would dine out here weekly but I am so glad we stopped here to eat, best choice ever! I highly recommend. You will love it!! 🤤 😋

Outstanding Mexican food, for all tastebuds. From mild to well done spicy. We thought it was going to be a tourist trap, but it is far from it. Flavorful food, not salty, cooked to perfection. I’m will to drive back here as often as possible.
The service was also outstanding, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. And the place is also beautiful. It this is a great place all around!

The service here was excellent. They took great care of us and made sure our drinks and chip baskets were full and that we got our food when we were ready.

They even have a cool photo spot set up that was perfect for me to grab pics with my granddaughters! They have a very expensive menu with a ton of choices for any picky palate.

Upbeat music. Cheerful atmosphere. Friendly servers and hostess. We only ordered dessert. Sopapillas and fried rice cream but, they were both, individually, very authentic and delicious treats! Our friends ordered chimichangas and enjoyed their meal as well.

I live in college station and I will drive the 45 minutes for Lalos they have the best sweet tea, bean dip and street tacos specifically the Al Pastor! Highly recommend trying this gem out!

Stopped by while on our way to Dallas and the food did not disappoint. The food was authentic, favorable, and delicious. All the young female servers kept swinging by our table to check out my 17 yr old son who looks like a K-pop star. Little did they know he can't even sing.

Excellent place to stop for a bite of delicious food and some tasty drinks! Very clean restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Lots of menu options. I frequent Madisonville often and this will be one of our top hangout spots when we come.

We went here yesterday to meet some friends. (Neither of us live in this area.) They were having their anniversary celebration and it was awesome. Live music, fun for kids, shots, prize wheel, etc. The staff was super friendly. Food was good. Drinks were great! Atmosphere was nice! We will definitely be back!

5 minutes away from Highway 45 as you travel to orfrom Houston to Dallas, missing a vist to this place is unacceptable, the place, food and people are to cheer for, Sooo good. Street tacos are pictures worth, flavorful, their charro beans are good as the entry salsa, I was not crazy about the green salsa we got with the tacos but the place is forever in one mind, cozy and picture perfect, and topped with great looking and tasting good, people servers have a smile and the cooks can break up everyone's in a while and sing out loud to a Mexican tune, loved it!!!🥰

Great great restaurant! Very delicious fajitas and the service was fantastic. I always love when the salsa and chips are warm and the food is hot and fresh! So many places serve bland chicken fajitas, but these were so so tasty. Highly recommend

I've eaten here several times. The food is always excellent with beautiful presentation and the servers helpful and attentive. Definitely the best mexican food in the area.

PS: The sweet tea could use some improvement

We had a perfectly delightful early dinner at Lalo's this evening... they offered a full menu selection of delicious Mexican specialty dishes, friendly and attentive service with knowledgeable menu suggestions for dietary concerns. Everything was prepared and served just the way we requested, always with a friendly smile and warm concern. Lalo's is working to be both a welcoming and comfortable place to be and spend time with friends and family in the Madisonville area. We had the occasion to have a small lunch meeting at Lalo's and the staff was very accommodating and helpful in providing both delicious food, just the way we asked, and affording us the time and uninterrupted quite we needed to be both comfortable and well attended, thank you.

This is my favorite restaurant in Texas! The Sunday brunch buffet is the best, bar none!
Mexican and American breakfast served.
My must have when visiting Texas!
Please come to Oklahoma, we have nothing that compares to Lalo's. 12/10!

Great place, a wonderful break from fast food on a road trip. Not far off the interstate with a large menu and really delicious food. Will absolutely be back. Everything from the salsa to the grilled veggies was fantastic.

My wife and I stopped here on our road trip. Being from San Antonio we have good Mexican restaurants nearly everywhere. However, this was the best I’ve ever tasted by far. The Carne Guisada is like none other: lots of flavor, love that it has potatoes and carrots, bell pepper, onions, and who knows what spices. Even the refried beans had flavor. If you are used to Tex Mex and think stuff is a little bland compared to other international foods, this place will be a very pleasantly surprised. I sampled my wife’s dish as well and the same feeling. Definitely a pro chef. I can see why people drive here from distances.

Holy smokes!!! Just had the Huevos Rancheros off the brunch menu… and they were off the charts, people!! And @ $7.99?!? A steal!! What an amazing value!!
