El Rincon Del Sabor Latin Restaurant

It is easy to drive by the unassuming exterior of the “flavor corner” but this is a hidden gem of a place for authentic Ecuadorian cuisine. If you go in and try it,be prepared to make it a routine stop for the most satisfying meal. It is the real deal! You can see from the pics there is never a speck of food left on our plates. A true family run establishment. It is counter service with the regular menu items you grow to love and then always special things each day that the kitchen makes up. The hornado/pulled pork is so tender it melts in your mouth. The beef stew is hearty and flavorful. If you like tripe stew, their guitita is outstanding. Beans, rice, and plantains are all exceptional comfort food. The soups are mind blowing and vary day to day. The sopa de mariscos is very popular. Some days there are even casava fritters and delicious handmade empanadas. It is one of my favorite lunch spots on the shoreline. Besides great food, the staff always have a smile, know all the costumers, and offer great suggestions on new things to try. They pile the food high on your plate and love when you enjoy it. I enjoy the vibe here too. Lots of hungry people who love a good meal sitting at the booths listening to the music, talking together, tasting off each other’s plates, and savoring a meal. There is a real community feeling here. Would give even more stars if it were possible.

Went to this hidden gem in Westbrook for lunch on a rainy day, because we wanted something different. They give you options for your combo plate. The food was very good! Their Guava and Cheese bread is one of the best I've had! Coconut agua fresca was also very good! The ladies who helped us were also great. Will definitely return!

I loved this little spot after the beach we were all hungry and the food was made to order. Food came out quick and tasted great! Service was 5 🌟 Chris was very attentive and helpful answering all our questions. Great family owned Ecuadorian and Columbian restaurant.

It's like $12 for a full plate of perfect rice, chicken that falls off the bone, amazing sauce, expertly cooked plantains, and tasty beans. Great deal, great folks, great place to stop!

We tried dinner at El Rincon del Sabor in Westbrook and it was our first time eating Ecuadorian food and it was delicious we tried the Ayampaco de pollo it was delicious we also had a small plate from the buffet we traveled from Mystic Ct to try this restaurant and we would definitely like to go there again. This restaurant is small with booths and tables the food is ordered from a buffet style setting. The staff is very friendly and helpful to guests who are not familiar with Ecuadorian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable also.

Excellent food every time we go — quick and easy too! We go about 1x a month and it’s always delicious. Our 4 yr old especially loves the empanadas, plantains, pulled pork, and rice with beans. Don’t forget to ask for a crisp mini side salad and for the made to order empanadas (we usually get chicken and beef empanadas). AND we discovered today they have a daily stew or soup to choose from. This place is a hidden gem! Highly recommend.

The food here is so good and you can’t get this type of food anywhere else in the area! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pastries are my favorite. I love that they have many meat free options. It’s also super clean!! A welcome addition to Westbrook!

First time I visited place, friendly welcomed and the food was delicious. Looking forward to returning for their seafood specials on the weekend. Best of luck to them

Food was delicious 😋!! Arroz amarillo with pernir,carne !nd pollo guisado.. omg.. ricisimo 😲.. portion sizes were enough to share which in my case is fantastic.. jugo de guanábana... so sweet and tropical tasting. I will most definitely go again.
