Lovettsville Diner

The Lovettsville Diner is one of the only local diners that serves good ol’ fashioned country soul food.

My wife and I make the trek from Gaithersburg, Maryland, to the Lovettsville Diner for breakfast.

The service is great, and the prices are very reasonable.

If you enjoy classic local diners with a country flavor, this spot is for you!

My friend and I did a late lunch yesterday, May-24th, at Lovettsville Diner. Very mellow, "Mom & Pop" style local eatery. Food is yummy and the portions are really big. I got the fried shrimp basket and my friend got the catfish. Everything was crunchy and flavorful. Side of onion rings were huge, crispy, but not sitting in a pool of oil, like you sometimes find at other places. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. We picked any table we wanted and seated ourselves. Just one heads up. The wait staff are a little older, so they might not move as fast as a 20 year old with New Balances on. And this place can get busy. So if you build that into your expectations for how quickly you might get served, then I think you'll have a very good meal and experience here. 5 stars. PS - Side note. I read an earlier review about visitors being concerned about the Trump flags flying at the gun shop next door. I'm a Dem, and felt perfectly welcome, happy, and taken care of at Lovettsville Diner. I'll definitely eat there again next time I'm in the area.

Came here for the first time after church service today. Everyone there was super friendly and our waitress talked to us as if she had known us forever. The food we ordered was delicious and fresh! They were out of their sausage and chipped beef gravys when we got there (our waitress told us the gravys are homemade using her family's recipe) and I'm super excited to try it the next time! Highly recommend!

Small town diner. It's exactly what you'd expect with great food and friendly service. Hot coffee, good omelet and pancake selections. Biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. Not too many tables so get there early!

Great local place with delicious breakfast menu. Nothing fancy... just good folks and good food! The kind of place where your coffee cup never gets to empty unless that's what you want to happen!

This was a really great diner I stumbled on by accident. It has that charming small town diner vibe. The food was great, portions were HUGE and the waitstaff were very nice and prompt. Two thumbs up!👍

Coffee was really good; very important at breakfast and is generally very weak at other eateries. Hash browns were better than I've had in ages. Good sausage and eggs, too. Meal arrived quickly and was a fair price. We look forward to another meal there.

One of my favorite places to visit, always a great cup of coffee and never once rushed . A wonderful place to sit and chill with friends over a piece of pie. There's daily special for lunch and supper as well as awesome breakfast menu. You can eat in or take it out either way the food is good home cooking in a family style diner.

This place is a real gem! It is a family owner diner and if you like being treated like family, this place is a must! We discovered this place for breakfast and go AT LEAST once a week. The food is always delicious, and the service is always friendly. If you like thin sliced, breakfast potatoes, look no further, this place has the best. The coffee is always fresh and food is always hot and fast. We have eaten dinner here once (just a scheduling thing on our part) and it did not disappoint.
Again, if you like to support family businesses or like family style cooking, this is your go-to place.

This diner is very cute, the waitress was super friendly. I’m sort of picky about my sausage and gravy but after seeing another reviewer recommended it, I gave it a shot and it reminded me of what I had as a kid. The potatoes were amazing also. I’ll definitely be back to try other things. Prices were very reasonable as well.

Quiet qaint diner with some great food ..I had breakfast (nice large piece of country ham) and hubs had patty melt and they did not skimp. Will be back😊 wish I had taken the foodie photos 🤔

Are you kidding me?! These ladies are the bomb. Hard working and kind. Everyone who entered was greeted. The food was fast and just like granddaddy used to make. I’m sure I would come back each morning if I lived here. I had creamed chipped beef and tomato juice. Just perfect!

Friendly great service. Very nice family owns and works it. They remember what we get to drink and my husband's order.( I switch mine up from time to time). Food is always good. Love going here.

Always great home-cooked food. The breakfast (all of them) are fantastic. I especially like the homefries/hashbrowns and The Nate omelet, fantastic. Blessed to have this diner in our town!

Excellent service for a large group; we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, were not made to feel rushed; since it was in our hometown, one of my cousins knew the waitress and she made us feel eight at home, quite an enjoyable venue!

Always an amazing meal here! Anything on the menu breakfast or dinner will be sooo good. Great food and awesome staff makes for a wonderful experience. My recommendation for breakfast is the double, lunch meatloaf and dinner MEATLOAF!! Will always be back and highly recommend.
