Chatt Smoke House

This is some amazing BBQ! Large quantities and great flavor. Really some of the best BBQ I've ever had. You won't go wrong here! I wanted a sandwich and was suggested to get the plate and make a sandwich with the bread it comes with. Great recommendation, it came with so much pulled pork and the flavor was amazing!

Absolutely some of the best food I have EVER had! Super friendly staff, the gentleman running it (I believe they called him RJ) all the way to the man sweeping the floors, some of the best service I have ever had! Will definitely be back!

Chef Mike really treated my family well. We arrived between 4-5pm on a Wednesday. Not busy at all. Staff was very attentive. The owner also chatted with us briefly. It felt like home away from home as we were only visiting the area. Clean and quiet atmosphere with very reasonable prices. We had time to look over the menu upon arrival and chat with the staff about menu items. The chef even cooked a piece of fish for my mom to sample before she ordered it. Our orders were large enough to share, honestly. We had a fish plate, two rib plates, and a chopped chicken plate. EVERYTHING was hot, delicious, and filling. We definitely had dinner covered because it was just too much to finish in one sitting! Would for sure recommend and visit again in the future. I'm not even a bbq fan but I was pleased! Eat here, you will NOT be disappointed! 😊

I got the whiting fish sandwich while on my lunch break. When I say Chatt Smoke House has the best fish sandwich I've ever had, I mean it. The cole slaw and mustard complimented the perfectly battered filet of fish wonderfully. This sandwich was very fulfilling for the price too! If you're in the downtown area and looking for a great place to eat, definitely check out Chatt Smoke House. You won't be sorry you did.

Driving back to Wisconsin and was looking for some good bbq for eating on the way home. Stopped here and ordered the pork plate with okra and potato salad. Husband got the beef plate with okra and coleslaw. Delicious! My pork was fantastic and the potato salad reminded me of a summer picnic. Everything had a wonderful flavor. I wish we had time for ribs but we had a 15 hr drive ahead and couldn't wait too long.

People inside were very nice and we were happy to chat about Wisconsin with them while we waited. Will come back. Maybe a trip to Chattanooga just for their food:)

Where do I begin? The service was friendly and quick. I was surprised at how soon after our order, we got our food. Speaking of food... Amazing! I ordered the pork sandwich. The serving of pork was huge! So much more than I expected. And the flavor...all I can say is WOW! We were passing through on our way from Savannah to Nashville. I had looked up places to eat lunch and Chatt House was one of the top recommendations. It did not disappoint!

Was blown away by the ribs and the service. Traveling through from Texas and stopped here to try some TN barbecue! I am glad I waited until today because I really loved this place! Their Mac and cheese was also excellent! It is multi generation-family owned and family run spot and you can tell the food was made with love and care!

This place is AMAZING!!! We ordered the rack of ribs and grilled chicken plate with 2 sides of baked beans and potatoe salad and man! It was THE best I've had for as long as I can remember! You get LOTS of ribs for the price! Best flavor! Man! We're eating leftovers today! Yum yum yum

This hidden jewel-nestled between The Greenhouse and Proof on MLK-was a secret to me, but apparently not to anyone else, based on the traffic and call in orders. I understand the hype, ordered the fish sandwich and ocean, the lovely lady at the register, suggested I get the fish plate and make my own sandwich with the bread which comes with the meal and get a whole order of coleslaw to go with it. The owner asked if we’d like to sample ribs from his new smoker, to which we enthusiastically agreed! The ribs, the fish, the ocra, the coleslaw, oh my gosh. I can’t wait to sample from the rest of the menu. Customer service out of this world, everyone was so kind. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service and food. My husband and I ordered the rib plate, with a side of potato salad and baked beans. The portion size was perfect enough to satisfy both of us and the taste was out of this world. Everything was so delicious. They have great price rates as well.

We ordered the pull pork dinner and it was melt in your mouth good. While we were waiting the owner took us back and showed us his new smoker. It was full of ribs!!!.He was kind enough to put one in our order to try. It was delicious! Highly recommend eating here.

Huge portions! Melt in your mouth smoked meats! Friendly owner and employees, the owner went out of his way to come say hello and check how our food was tasting. Great food, would highly recommend!

10/10 would recommend. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t stop in for a plate. Staff was extremely sweet and helpful; felt like home. We ordered the rib and chopped chicken plate. Everything was very tasty and flavorful. Portions are great for the price (we had already started digging in when pictures were taken). If we are ever in Chattanooga again, we won’t hesitate to stop by.

OUTSTANDING!! This is must-try BBQ in Chattanooga. We’re visiting from Atlanta and chose Chatt Smoke House over a few other choices…best decision! Talk to James, the owner. He’s got great stories and his ribs and pork plates are fantastic. The beans, potato salad, Cole slaw and fried okra are some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Love it!!!

AMAZING! 10/10, the best food experience I've had in my trip here. The food was perfect, portions were plentiful, didn't wait long at all for my plate. The best part was the staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly, I'll be coming back here every time I'm in Chattanooga

Ordered pulled pork plate. It came with a hamburger bun. There was enough pork to do three sandwiches. Baked beans were great. Sauces were homemade. Banana pudding was delicious. Alvin, owners brother, even gave me a rib to try. People were great. A small hometown restaurant that has been there 15 years. Go and try it yourself.

Great food, large servings and pretty cheap as well, the man who served us was also really friendly, great place overall. Very cool
