Cool atmosphere. Excellent service. Tasty food. Fried calamari appetizer was lightly battered with a nice dipping sauce. Very generous portion size for the scallop teriyaki. Creme brulee latte was exceptionally good.

one word.. OUTSTANDING !! This place is THE BEST family owned hibachi/sushi/japanese place EVER! To the atmosphere to the service to the cleanliness this place checks all the boxes!! if you’re local or visiting make sure you stop here and ENJOY! you’ll never leave disappointed only wanting to come back for more! don’t let any of the bad reviews steal your chances of experiencing this place. I LOVE MISO HAPPY!!!

I’m no expert by any means, but this has got to be the tastiest and most authentic Japanese experiences I’ve had here in Huntsville/Madison! I have made it a habit to stop by here after my work-outs, and the food is always filling and tasty. Their portions are perfect, and the prices are moderate (but well worth it).

The waiters I’ve had have all been so very respectful and welcoming. I’m learning Japanese and they respond to my very novice attempts at speaking it so kindly! The are also very attentive and they make absolute sure you’re having a pleasant dining experience. My final word on Miso Happy is.. SUBARASHII 🤙🏼🔥🍜!!!

I can't put into words how cool and awesome this gem is and how I just found out about it yesterday.

This is hands down #1 and must be on bucket list of everyone , the Ramen is out of this world and the bone broth heals your soul!

My neighbor Totoro is no stranger here and the possibilities are endless.

Food was hot, fresh, fast, and fun. Clean and fun environment, affordable prices, plenty of food. We ordered 3 sushi rolls for under $20 as appetizer. We also ordered bento boxes off the lunch menu.

This place was so cuteeeee. Me and my fiancée requested to sit in the area where you take your shoes off and sit on the floor in one of the back rooms and eat on those tables.. loved loved loved this experience. The pho bowls were sooooo big so believe you’ll have some left when your leaving they also have appetizers that come with the meals which is soup or salad. The service was really good and the food was good this is a nice experience for couples wanting to try something new!! Spent 75$ but it was a good price because we got 4 different meals. 2 meals for me and 2 meals for him plus drinks and dessert in the end so if you get just 1 meal per person you should only spend about 30$ so the price isn’t really expensive

You will leave exactly how the restaurant is named.. Happy! Great location, visited this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Beyond welcoming employees. The teas were very flavorful (add the boba!). The ambience is amazing a piece of japan in the middle of madison (theres a lot of hidden anime characters if youre a fan youll be thrilled just the same if you have kids. The ramen! Amazing the broth the noodles the chashu pork!! Flavor to the max. Theres some chili oil at the table waiting for you if you love a little extra kick to your dishes. The portions are very very reasonable. Oh and i had the boa’s glad i didnt skip. Please keep this place busy so they do not go anywhere!!

My friends and i ate there tonight and it was amazing!! Roger was an absolute delight. The staff was so nice. I recommend the rose tea! The food came out super fast!

As a long time patron of Edo's, it was nice to be able to be back in the building and enjoy the party room again.

The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. All the Studio Ghibli stuff is very cute. The place is nice and clean. The service is very friendly and prompt. Our big table was checked on often and the server was very kind.
I enjoyed the food. I got a spicy tuna roll to try their sushi (can't go wrong with a spicy tuna roll) and it was good. As an entree, I got the chicken curry. I wasn't expecting the chicken to be tempura styled, but it was actually pretty good mixed with the curry and rice.

Overall I had a nice time at Miso Happy. Can't wait to come back and try some other things.

We went here for the first time tonight and it was amazing! We got to sit in the traditional style area and our waiter Roger and the rest of the staff were delightful! I recommend the hot milk tea and the crepe cake as extras! Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to come back!

I knew from the traditional Japanese exterior of the restaurant that I was gonna have a blast. I didn't get a robot waiter like others did, but I got a pleasant male waiter. This place certainly exceded expectations, and I highly recommend it for Studio Ghibli & Asian food fans. I'll definitely come again 😁

Honestly my husband and I go to miso happy weekly sometimes 2x a week cause it’s so calming. I look forward to it at the end of a long work week. The quality of food is so good, the service is also so good. The deserts are made with such creativity I wish there was a bakery attached because they deserve their own little place. I have terrible anxiety and it’s really become a safe space for us. Love miso happy forevs

Amazing restaurant with Studio Ghibli and white blossom decor throughout. Food was amazing with both of my daughters loving their Sizzling Mongolian Beef and Steak Teriyaki.

Last week, we hosted our graduation party at Miso Happy, a Japanese restaurant that left a remarkable impression on us. The range of appetizers was extensive and each dish was exceptionally delicious. The highlight for me was the sashimi platter, which included salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. The freshness and quality of the fish were outstanding, offering a truly delectable experience.

The sushi at Miso Happy was also a standout. Not only were the rolls aesthetically pleasing, but their flavors were equally impressive, striking a perfect balance between traditional and innovative. Each piece was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail.

This is my new favorite restaurant ever! The food is AMAZING and the service is so awesome. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the portion sizes and presentation. Will be coming back here with everyone I know!

Love the staff, food and atmosphere. Best Japanese and Asian fusion in Huntsville. Prompt service, delicious food and great drinks.

Beer glasses were a bit filmy, only thing we could find to be critical about, but that's pretty typical of most restaurants. Probably just minerals.

Everything else was fantastic. Food was hot, fresh and well seasoned. We will be back over and over.

Great food and service with reasonable prices. Cutest bento box I’ve had with nice variety of main courses to choose from. Crab Rangoon and potstickers were the bomb. Beautifully floral jasmine tea. We will be back!!!

I had no idea this place was opening but got lucky and tried it before its too popular. This place is FANTASTIC! The passion fruit lemonade tea was delicious! My partner enjoyed hot green tea and Miso soup. He said both were wonderful! The prices are very reasonable! I ate the chicken teriyaki lunch and my partner ate sushi. Everything had great flavor and was fresh! The atmosphere is AMAZING! Cutest decorations and comfortable seating. The service was great (including the robot who brought our food)! It is a new place, so give them some time to hit their rhythm! This will definitely become a hot spot!

To everyone giving it 1 star today (08/16) - this place literally just opened! Give them some time to get into a good rhythm before you review them so poorly.

Had a wonderful lunch at a great price. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, I enjoyed the anime music. The staff were very kind and attentive. The food was delicious - I will have to be back to try everything on the menu! We also saw the cutest little robot server but did not get to meet them today. 10/10 will be back❤

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere! There was a little bit of a wait, but they were packed, so it was completely understandable. Our waiter was very friendly and the robot waiter was so cute! I wish I lived closer to Huntsville so I could come back again soon.
