I’ve been with Family Vision Center since 2006. Over the years they have been awesome. Always friendly and help with all my vision needs. Recently I have been going to Dr. Jacob Davis, he is a newer eye doctor that is very knowledgeable and a great optometrist. I recommend him to everyone.

This was my 1st visit and will be my dr from now on. Everyone was very polite. I came in irritated from my job and left in a good mood. I like Dr. Kutcher he listens to what you want. That I value very much in a dr. He Gives great advice too! No issue with giving my rx as i read that in another review and was worrisome to read when i'm about to walk in. People lie so always go and judge for yourself. Contacts are reasonably priced. 55 a box for the ones I like 6 pair. So i will get them there. They take my caresource rider with a 30 co pay. The lady who did my pre exam was the sweetest. I felt very welcome there. I had missed my appiontment in may and they gladly helped me with another. I was thankful because they are very busy and it takes awhile to get in.

I chose to switch from my children's previous eye doctor because their former doctor refused to provide me with their prescriptions and include pupil distance in an effort to prevent me from purchasing eye glasses elsewhere at a lower cost. I have not had any such issue here. The staff has always been professional and courteous. Very clean environment. Pretty quick about having glasses delivered after exams. The only issue I have had is having the same annual appointment rescheduled multiple times in the past due to error on their end which caused me some inconvenience.

I asked a million questions because I am nervous to be getting contacts for the first time. The doctor was so sweet and took time to make sure I was at ease before rushing things along throughout the exam. The ladies at the front desk do their best to try and find out what options are best for you given your insurance, extremely personable even when the office is crazy busy with people.

The doctors are great and the rooms are clean . If I could rate the other staff such as receptionists they would get a 1. I was majorly sassed by the dark headed lady whom sits at the front right desk in regards to my FSA card not working. She rolled her eyes at me , got loud with me , and than never even said I was all set to leave , just sat there mean faced until I asked If we were all set to go . Pretty sure she talked about me as I was leaving to the other receptionist. I think the doctors need to replace their staff.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Kucher & Associates for a long time. Their many years of experience and kindness provide you with excellent care and the assurance that your vision is the best it can be. They do not skip corners that can put you at risk of future complications.
My children have grown up and moved on - but they make sure to come back for their eye exams with Dr. Kucher & Dr. Raab.

Probably the best eye Dr I've ever been too. Dr was kind and explained everything very well on top of that they don't try to scam you out of money. The staff are awesome and actually took time to figure out how I could save the most money and still get the glasses I wanted I will definitely be going back for my next eye exam

Really great place and great people - my son's glasses broke but the frames were on a crazy backorder that kept getting changed around and they were really great about the whole thing ultimately getting him replacement glasses.

First of all when I was making the appointment they said they had no availability for over a month. I went there years ago and liked them so I decided to wait it out. I go to my appointment 45 days later and when I get there, I am the only person in the place, not one other customer. So I am now thinking, I waited that long when they have hardly any customers? I didn't even really get started after asking what the cost would be. They told me they could not be exact until I got my eye exam done and to just pick out frames for now. The prices on the frames were hidden so I asked them what the starting (lowest) price would be for progressive lenses in "any" frame. They told me it starts at $250 out of pocket plus my insurance. I told them the price was ridiculous and no wonder they didn't want to discuss it. They then refused to answer any more questions until I got my eye exam. I told them, "Why would I get my eye exam here, if I need to get the glasses elsewhere?" Also, from what I read on their reviews, they do not like to give out your prescription so you have to spend a fortune there. Then they started throwing out other prices. I didn't realize eye doctors were now like dealing with a used car salesman. This place is NOTHING like it was when Kucher was in Burgettstown. So I called and went to America's Best 3 days later, (yes, 3 days to be seen vs 45 days), and got the eye exam and glasses with progressive lenses for $8.95 total with insurance. You may want to roll that idea around before wasting your time or getting ripped off. Do you want to pay $10 or $300??

I have been a patient of Dr Pendrakey for many years and when he retired I decided to go to another doctor. I decided to come back because Dr Davis did an excellent job with my husband. I had my eye exam with Dr Davis and he was great and then I go to pick out new glasses. The woman who was helping me was very destructed with her husband being in the office with a family problem and I felt very hurried and rushed. I get a call to pick up my glasses and my bifocal is incorrect so different woman measures them again and sends them back out. I go to pick them up a second time and the bifocal is still not right. So after talking down to me like I had never worn bifocals before, which I have worn for years, she finally goes and gets my chart and takes my old glasses to check prescription. After she returns she realizes that the prescription in my new glasses isn’t correct so they have to sent out again. I finally get my glasses and I can see out of them but they are not transition lens which I always get. I called today to ask about it and when I questioned she transferred me to the lens girl but not before I heard her say “ I’m done”. I talked to the lens her who was very rude and was told that I didn’t pay for the transition lens and I told her that I always get those and she again explained to me exactly what I paid for rudely. I told her this has been very frustrating and that I heard the last lady and wasn’t very happy with that.
So after three trips to get my glasses right they still are not. I think that it is a shame that the doctor was so nice and that the office staff is so unpleasant and rude.

Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews before my appointment & I’m the latest victim of this “dark haired” receptionist. . .
I contacted my insurance company in advance & had written documentation regarding coverage and copays. When I questioned her about my enormous bill she treated me as if I was beneath her and questioned my ability to pay. Trust Me! I am able to pay my bill, but I will not be charged for services NOT rendered! I agree with another - the Dr’s are too old to care about the reputation of the office. They’re just buying time until they can retire
ON A POSITIVE NOTE: I read that they had an unlicensed person treating patients & I was told that he is no longer there

Went to Dr Kucher for years because he accepted my insurance coverage, but after being offended for the final time by the rude staff I decided to try another office. WOW! The other office was so pleasant! Plus, my visit and glasses only cost me $35 with my insurance (ALWAYS over $300 at Dr Kucher)… unless you enjoy throwing your money away and being insulted as soon as you walk through the door GO ELSEWHERE!
