Jay's Diner

The best diner in the Rochester area hands down. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. They have an extensive menu and it’s all delicious. We had Sarah as our waitress and she was absolutely amazing! She even brought us extra pickles which is a plus in my book! 100% recommend this place!!

Friendly staff, good food, old fashioned diner feel with the little music boxes (some work, some don't) at each booth. Serves breakfast all day. Good variety of food. Fairly busy, but I haven't had to wait to be seated any time I've gone. Fair prices, good portions.

Just wanted to thank the 2 employees who saw me coming with my elderly mother and aunt and who opened door when coming in and when going out after eating. We had a nice lunch at Jays. These 2 went above and beyond to look out for us. It was much appreciated.

What a great staff, and tasty food.

Eggs were hot at the table, the hash delicious , and the waitress warm and friendly, as well as quick.

This retro diner was amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was great. Let's talk about the food!! Portions were large and absolutely delicious.

In all my 50 years, this place has NEVER failed to be the best around. The menu is absolutely huge, so many options! Vrry clean diner, with a retro comfortable atmosphere. Very kind and capable servers, delicious food....all without compromising their quality of food! I highly recommend! 24 hours a day 7days a week....used to be my go to for drunk food nights back in the day, and I absolutely love it the same to this day.

Very nice Diner. Really fast service. The place was full, people were enjoying themselves, lots of laughter in the air plenty of varieties in foods. Delicious baked goods too!!! There was the nicest waitress, also hostess was so kindly.. TV and restrooms very nice.💕

Very cool 50’s style diner. Great feel. I seriously had the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. Fast service for a Thursday at 8am.

We had a bacon omelette and broccoli & cheese omelette with breakfast potatoes. Food was good, service was fast and friendly.
The only note of concern I would give is that you will pay more if you use a credit card for payment, as they have a surcharge they will add on.
To save money, either pay cash or try somewhere else that doesn't surcharge for credit cards. The credit card surcharge is 3% or 4%.. somewhere in there I believe. It says on a sign posted on the door on the way in.

This was our first time visiting Rochester! Jay's Diner came highly recommended as a Must visit and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious, staff friendly and restaurant clean and beautiful. We will definitely visit again!!

Excellent food broccoli and chicken alfredo is to die for, the most respectful waitress "Tammy." I advise you to come in and just enjoy the environment. I also recommend whatever you eat, you will definitely enjoy. Mmmmm

As for the food I had a breakfast brunch (scrambled eggs soft) hashbrowns and my favorite French toast. Mmmmmm, the orange juice taste like real oranges I bet you she squeezed the oj. herself …
Atmosphere was soo familial a definite 5 stars all across the board ..

The Thug and The Queen…

We went here again when we were in town for a hockey tournament and it did not disappoint again! Good food. Good service!

The food was good especially if you like diners. The service was great as they were able to accommodate our 10 year old hockey team and their families 2 times during the President's Day tournament.

Sarah our waitress was so great!!! Gave awesome recommendations! We will be back and wanting her! Highly recommend the French toast!

This place is like out of the movies set in 60s. Their food is very good. Even at 12.30 after midnight people are here. This is a 24 hours diner. Their Chicken Caesar wrap was very good. Cheese burger is is juice and flavourful.

Good food and staff. My only complaint is that it's not open 24 hours anymore. Please bring it back.

Awesome diner. The atmosphere was perfect for Sunday breakfast. The food was wonderful, even if they brought the wrong order!

First time to Jay's Diner and now I know why its such a popular place. The breakfast food was incredible. Some of the best I've ever had! Plus we got gravy fries for the table as well as some French Onion soup. All top notch and I will absolutely be going back.

Everything has always been perfection since I was a kid. Will never stop coming in!
