Not a fancy hotel but the staff is nice and helpful The room was clean. We needed to turn the AC on because the room needed a little freshening. They didn't have breakfast set up but would be starting again soon. There is a restaurant bar across the street that had reasonable prices and good food.
From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much but we would definitely stay here again because it's affordable and we had a good sleep ;) $74/ night on a Wednesday

Fine for what it is. Without any issues we got a room at 10pm without a prior reservation. The room itself was small but clean. Can definitely recommend for a cheap overnight stay while on the road.

Stopped at 230am: desk clerk was happy to help us. Room was very clean, beds were super comfortable. Price was perfect.
Breakfast was a basic free breakfast, coffee will most definitely wake ya up.
Highly recommend staying here.

Everything was great. There are bad reviews from two years ago, and I can say it was a very comfortable place to stay.

Good value for the Minnesota/Duluth region. Rooms are clean. Recently renovated. I found the service staff friendly and accommodating. The night I was looking( 6/23/23) Motel 6 in Duluth was going for $220.! they can leave that light on for somebody else.

This was a reasonably priced and convenient stay over for our trip back to Minneapolis airport.

We have been staying here for Sandstone Ice Festival for 4 years now and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean, the owner and service is extremely friendly, there are resources nearby, and very reasonable pricing! As women we have always felt very safe here as well. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough how amazing our stay was at this hotel. Al did an amazing job making sure we were comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. Despite the location right off the highway, we never heard the traffic. Our air conditioner worked great, our hot water was always hot and our room was very clean when we got in. We spent almost a month here due to work and Al made us feel like we were apart of his family. This is the cleanest, safest, friendliest hotel we’ve ever stayed at and we will absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in the area. I highly highly recommend anyone looking for peace and quiet to stay here. You won’t regret it.

Amazing service and very clean! A little dated, but very clean and cozy. Stayed with a group and it was very accamidating. Price was good, nice little bar and gas station across street to walk too! Would stay here again if I ever come came to town again

Not much to look at on the outside, but on the inside it is recently updated and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Our kids love the suite, with room to run around. The also love the room with the large Jacuzzi style tub. Already have our next stay booked. Also, the beds are quite comfortable, better than many I have stayed in at "high-end" hotels.

No breakfast at the moment due to Covid and social distancing, but am looking forward to giving it a try when that aspect is back up and running. There is a gas station with a bar/grill just across the street so it was easy to get food and snacks during our stay.

Owner/front desk clerk upgraded me to a larger available room and was more than courteous to other guests and myself. Beds were clean, pillows clean, fresh paint, good heat, rooms smelled clean. Bathrooms were spotless.

Modest, comfortable hotel. The staff here, whom I believe are the owners that we dealt with are probably the most kind genuine hosts I've ever talked to. They did a great job in making sure that we were comfortable. The furniture is a little older, however one of the first things I ever check in a hotel room is the bathroom. To me it is a good indicator of cleanliness of the overall room. This bathroom was one of the few I could set my bathroom bag right on the floor. Everything seemed very clean. One tip she gave me is that booking directly with the property can help to get the lowest price available. Overall this hotel was a great 2 night homebase of a weekend getaway.

I had a really lovely two-night stay here. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and went to extra lengths to provide me with the conveniences I needed, and was also just a chill dude and I enjoyed chatting with him. Comfortable and clean place, much better than most similarly-priced motels I've stayed in lately. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The property is clean and comfortable. The owners couldn’t be more genuine in making our stay great. There is zero noise from the highway and very comfortable beds. New carpet, fresh paint-a lot of work has gone into this place and it shows. Make your own fresh pancakes was a nice added benefit.

Me, my fiancé, and our two year old son really enjoyed our stay here. We are traveling and just wanted a simple, inexpensive place to sleep for the night. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was simple, but still had a good variety. Overall great place to stay, at a great price!

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. From the second I walked in, to the second I left I was pleased. The guy at the front desk was amazing, when we arrived, he made us feel so welcomed!
The room was very clean, and spacious! I dozed off waiting for checkout, the owner knocked on the door at 11:30 to let me know it was check out time. As I was checking out, the owner apologized for bothering us, he offered us to stay longer if needed which I thought was nice!
Our car didn’t start when we were leaving and a guy in the lobby (assuming he works there, he was there the day before as well) with no hesitation helped us in the freezing cold weather. So happy we picked such a great place to stay!
I know they take pride in marking their customers happy! We got treated better there then we would have at a very expensive hotel! Never had service like that from any other hotel I have ever stayed at! I will be recommending this place to everyone! I will definitely be back, just for a little get away!

I really enjoyed my stay here after a long day on the road driving. It was very quiet and peaceful. Brand new bed for very comfortable and the staff is outstanding. When they did not have a vending machine because they're renovating the owner brought me a couple of cans of coke I could drink. Very kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place

Room was clean, pillows were comfy. Super quiet and easy to sleep! The owner is super nice and even allowed me a later check out :) there are a few things that are in the process of remodeling but for the price I highly recommend staying here!

We had a large group come in for a 3 night weekend and the new hosts were as friendly and helpful as one could ask for. They were very accommodating for a number of needs we had. Rooms are very clean and even though they are doing some painting and remodeling they made their lobby available and comfortable for us to gather in. Lori G.

We broke down on the highway on our drive back home to Canada, and we had to get towed to the nearest rest stop. We spent a night here and the family who owns the hotel were more than amazing! Everything was clean and we had a fridge and microwave in both rooms. We have stayed in huge hotels in Toronto that don’t provide this so I was happily surprised to see each of our rooms with those. They were so kind and offered us food and milk/juice to take on our trip back. My daughter was happy to see another little one at the front desk too! Five stars and thank you so much for helping us out for the night while we got our van fixed!

Great customer service. The owner gave us a free upgrade because the hotel was empty. The rooms were clean and the lobby is pretty and modern. We would stay here again.
