We LOVED this restaurant! Travelling through from Kansas, and were quite pleased with our choice! The salsa was a bit spicy and had one of the best salsa flavors I've had. Queso... also delicious. I ordered Guadelehare Special which was yummy. My sister who makes fun of me for wanting to lick my good sauces was spotted using her finger to squeegee her pollo a la crema off her plate. Flauta and pork carnitas meals for my sister and mom were both good. If we lived nearby we'd definitely make this a regular place. Thanks for satisfying our craving!

Stopped for lunch. Ordered off lunch menu. Quick. Have enough leftovers for dinner too! Great place. Food good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stop by again.

This restaurant is such a treat for Sandstone. The food here is incredible, great drinks, great atmosphere, great people. I highly recommend the fajitas Del Mar, it’s easily enough food for 2 people and goes great with a margarita on the rocks (or blended). I also really love the Juevos rancheros, and you can’t go wrong with the enchilada combo. I can’t say enough about how much I love this place. They also participate in a restaurant passport program so you can earn bonuses for stopping by!

Update: I returned and tried the tamales and the golden margarita, both excellent

Came in with a large party with a reservation. Table was ready early. Love that our waiter asked how to do the bill at the beginning. Drinks and chips with salsa came quickly. Our ordered food came out all at once for 12, loved that. Everything was really tasty. The place was packed. So happy for Sandstone to have this restaurant. Attentive wait staff.

Our friends treated us to truly authentic Mexican food. Yes, it was fantastic. The pork enchiladas were delightful, and the fajitas loaded with meat. Don't pass this one by going through Sandstone. Trylu a hidden treasure. Ella the waitress was a spicy kick all by herself! Dare you to try and get one over on her!

Great food, great atmosphere, service is excellent. It's very nice to have an excellent Mexican restaurant within 10 miles of home. We will definitely be returning!

Octavio is great, place is beautiful and clean.. the house margarita was really good and only $10.99 which is very reasonable. Will definitely be back!! If you're thinking about going- just do it!

This place is absolutely phenomenal!
I lived in California for over ten years so I know good Mexican food and I tell you this is by far the best I've had in years . The flavor was amazing !

Unbelievable! Food is super hot when it comes out every time! I have been wanting to take a photo of the food to share but I haven’t been able to wait! Super impressed every time! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Favorite restaurant in Sandstone- I haven't had a bad plate here and I never leave hungry. Quesabirria is my favorite, I'm single handedly determined to keep it on the menu! It's super great for my toddler too, they are ready for families. Challenge yourself to the specials, they're all great.

The food was great and there was a lot of it. Look forward to trying all the other things on the incredibly long menu. Place was very clean and the service was excellent.

Was very surprised how nice the new owners fixed the place up. (Looks very nice)
The staff was extremely pleasant, and the place was very clean. I ordered the 3 soft shell taco supremes, and I was stuffed. The vegetables were nice and fresh, and the beef was very good. Wanted to try the fried ice cream, but was way to full. Very pleasant, clean, friendly place.
They have a huge menu btw.

We had the party room with about 30 people for a rehearsal-ish dinner for our wedding, we had one waitress and she served everyone with a smile and provided incredible service. Absolute blast. Thank you El mexico!

The quesabirria was amazing. The brisket was cooked to perfection, and the birria was savory and delicious as well. I will be back to enjoy more of this menu

We ordered take out My wire had tacos supremo, and I ate chimichanga's. The food was great!! My chili's were made with real roast beef not hamburger. The veggies were fresh and the prices was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and very well groomed. Large screen tv's all over the place and a great bar. I recommend this resturant to anyone looking for great authentic Mexican food and a pleasant atmosphere to boot. Thank you so much! See ya soon

We've been here 3 times, and every time the service was great, and the food is very good. Highly recommend it.
