Sunset Grill Clearwater

Sunset Grill is a hidden gem! I literally passed it and had to make a U-turn to come back to it. We were welcomed with warm, friendly smiles! The staff and some of the regular patrons were super helpful with recommendations. Our server made us feel like family finally coming over for a good home cooked meal. You get fresh baked bread with your order. It was heavenly! I had the chicken pot pie, which is only available 2 days a week. Oh my word, it was delicious!! They have their own spin on it. They put down fresh, made in house, puff pastry and top it with the “insides” of a chicken pot pie! The sauce has so much flavor from their special spices. My sister got the gyro sandwich and she said it was delicious! We will 100% be going back! I’m drooling just writing this review.

Cute place! Went for dinner and I had the grouper sandwich. My husband had the salmon salad. Both are delicious 🤤 the staff were super friendly. There’s plenty of parking and seating. Save room for dessert, so many beautiful pies!

What can I say, been in town 4 days & this is the first place that felt like it served the local community & not dedicated to tourists.

Sour dough bread at the table, fresh & so good. Grouper filets for the best price I have seen.

Cute little diner-like restaurant. Good food and service when we visited the area from Fort Lauderdale. Great prices. Will definitely be back to try the pancakes next time! Didn't even get pics of the food it was so good!

This place has fast become a family favorite. Between the esthetic appeal, great service, and delicious food, it's always my first suggestion. If you haven't been here, you are missing out on a fantastic experience for your family and taste buds. I'd post a pic, but unfortunately, my family started devouring their food the second it came. Lmao 😆 snagged a picture of the pies before they inhaled them

I'm just updating to say I have missed this place so bad since moving to NC. I pray that one day, you expand and open something in Raliegh.

This is a genuine little gem just randomly placed in Clearwater. It’s an excellent diner and grill and they have a huge menu and all the food I’ve tried is made so well. Staff are kind and personable and you never leave hungry, prices are also reasonable considering how much food cost now a days.

I absolutely love Sunset Grill. They have an amazing variety of food from breakfast thru to dinner and offer great deserts. The renovated interior is light and refreshing, warm and inviting. Be prepared to fight for a parking spot but it's worth the effort once inside! This will quickly become your favorite spot to eat.

This place was hopping! Good food, nice sized portions and fresh. The staff worked like a well oiled machine, always ready to refill that cup of coffee. Great place, fast and efficient service.

Came on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy. People working very hard and kept apologizing about the wait. Didn’t seem long to us at all. Zeke was our server and he did awesome. Food was amazing and huge portions.

The food portion and quality are definitely worth the prize! Everything was super good. I got the BLT and my boyfriend got the turkey and bacon club. You get a pretty big sandwich, fries, a small cup of Cole slaw, and a pickle! Will be back.

We were a group of 7 senior ladies and have been there many times but always requested Savannah as our server because she always gave us excellent service. Since she was on vacation we had to settle for Katie. UGH never again! She was the worst server we ever had the misfortune of getting. We will go back because the food is always exceptional but hopefully Savannah will be available.

I stopped in here for spaghetti and meatball and a couple glasses of wine. I really enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs. I'll definitely be back for other things on the menu. Good food at reasonable price.

It’s really good! I work five minutes away and yesterday, wanted to try something outside of fast food for lunch. I ordered pick up. I got the tuna cold plate, which consists of a big scoop of tuna salad, cottage cheese, coleslaw, and an assortment of veggies like cucumber and tomato. I requested French dressing to go with it. I was stuffed.

I also tried the chicken soup. I’d forgotten to put it in with my order and added it when I got the restaurant. It was really good! Piping hot and homemade tasting.

The food was ready when I arrived. The ladies at the front were very nice and were quick to take care of me. They didn’t mind me adding my soup in at the last minute. I noticed there was a specials board, so I guess it wouldn’t hurt ask what the specials are before ordering.

I also discovered that they serve full liquor drinks. There’s apparently no sit down bar but you can order a grown up drink at your table. Maybe next time, I’ll do dine in. 😉

Great little diner that you really should try. I will be back. My food was very fresh, beautifully presented and delicious! I had the Cobb salad and my friend had a gyro. Both were excellent. We had wonderful service and the place was very clean and nicely decorated. I’ve heard their pies are to die for!

Love this place. They really seem to care about their flavors. Even though simple in appearance, the eggs Benedict flavor was really on point and had the right mix including just the right citrus acidity.
Reuben on gluten-free bread was amazing as well.

I ordered the chef salad with no cheese with a cup of the chicken soup with orzo, my husband ordered the ruben with a cup of clam chowder and we ordered the chicken tenders with fries for my child. Our server was very nice and helpful with my questions about a dairy in the food. The soups came out luke warm but will still delicious. I would have preferred if they came out piping hot but I didnt want to wait for it to be reheated and it was still so good! The chef salad was HUGE with lots of ham and turkey. Very good salad. My husband said the ruben was excellent and we both tried the kids chicken tenders and fries which were also really good. After lunch we ordered the peach berry pie which was served unexpectedly cold but was also amazing! I plan to return here again when in the area.

I love Sunset Grill and go there quite regularly for breakfast and lunch. The waitresses are incemreduble, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. It's a great combination. I truly admire their business model, and they have a frequent restaurant eating program that offers discounts on future meals.

They recently sold the business to a new owner, but the menu and staff remain the same so that's FABULOUS. highly recommend it to those who are interested in a reasably delicious meal.

Delicious and very quaint! I had the chicken salad and fruit plate. The bananas were just the way I like them and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs. The fruit was fresh and the service impeccable. Next time I'm planning to try their desserts. I hear they are amazing!
