We've been with this provider since 1979 and every time we had a question they were here to help. We recently went with them for fiber. The installation was smooth and the people are very professional. Update: whenever we have a problem - such as a dump truck taking down the main line, a technician responds immediately and fixes the problem. Amazing staff and response.

Made the switch this spring when OTTC started expanding their fiber optic network, and I'm glad I did! I now pay less for internet and my landline combined than I was paying for my monthly Spectrum internet bill, and the service is just as fast. So much nicer to deal with a local company and they have excellent customer service.

We're in what used to be the no-mans-land of internet coverage between Ithaca and T-Burg, but OTTC hooked us up with some serious internet and good service. Unbelievable speeds (uploading and downloading) on this fiber optic stuff ... I'd never go back to copper cable. Techs doing the install were fast and effective. Good stuff, OTTC!

This company does well. Their technicians know what they are doing. The folks in the office are very helpful as they answered all my questions appropriately. They were able to install the necessary equipment quickly and efficiently.

Their phone service is fine, no complaints there. But their DSL sucks, and the support that goes with it. I hope that now that they are no longer associated with FLTG, and are moving to fiber internet connections, that will change for those who still use them. As for me, I switched to Empire Access's fiber when they came in. Not sure if Trumansburg was going to offer fiber out my way or not, but Empire came by first. So far no complaints for switching other then I seriously need to upgrade my own equipment now.

Their walk in hours state 10-3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, closed for lunch 12-12:30. This is false, I tried to turn in equipment for 45 minutes and finally a tech guy came to do maintenance took it, who knows how much longer I would have had to wait! No bin around back like I was told the first time I called while there. Second and third time I was on hold over 10 minutes.

I'm Being Generous Here. They know they are the only game in town in some areas other than fraudulent satellite service so they can charge a premium for speeds slightly better than dialup (10 down and 2 up) Used to be good but now no scalability. I switched to a business account thinking I would get better service (not better speed).
And I do have a home business as well. Nope. If you are a new customer, then yes, they put on the charm. Existing customers can go hang. Almost impossible to get a call back. You can never get to talk to a technician on the first call. You always have to leave a number and pray they call you back; usually they don't.

I have to restart my equipment once a week at least as my Vz wifi extender indicates the bandwidth has dropped to nothing. I would use my cell as a provider but I have the double whammy of living in a low lying area where cell phone service is spotty at best.
Forget the landline, you'll get charged for every call you make outside the 1 mile calling radius. Became a major production to get a static IP address and so far service has been out for a few hours now.

After cancelling service and paying in advance, we contacted OTTC for inquiry pertaining to a refund. We were told by a representative that it takes "(3) billing cycles before a refund is given, and that this is company policy" WOW, talk about using 'the float'!!! Is interest paid on this money that they hold for (3) billing cycles???
Extremely poor customer service and a highly questionable policy

If I could give a zero start I would! Worst service, their internet would not stream at all but they keep saying nothing is wrong on their end so now that i have cancelled service that DOESN'T work they are charging me a cancellation/contract termination fee because they insist their service is great. Sure its awesome as long as you don't want to use it! Totally unacceptable!

Worked well for the first few months, then it came to a stand still, barely had any internet, called twice, and was told that we are getting what our package provides, those first few months were a great teaser though, switching asap

Consistently horrible service, and has never reached advertised speeds. Completely useless to use during peak hours.

Work was not properly completed. Internet does not work and the tech will be back within 48 hours.
