Lockview Restaurant

We stopped by here on a late Monday afternoon and were immediately seated. We had a great view of the locks and visitors center, and could see the freighters entering and exiting the lock.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. We ordered the Hot Turkey sandwich, UP Pastie and the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap. The fries were crispy and oh so good! We would definitely stop by here again if given the opportunity!

This is the best choice for Soo. The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 out of 5 is you are misled by the name of the restaurant. Even from the top floor of the restaurant, you don't get a clear view of the lock. They do have television screens up showing what's happening at the locks. Our 4 had whitefish sandwich, tacos, lemon pepper style and walleye fish and chips. All food was A+ and tasty. Coleslaw was great!

Cute little restaurant, excellent food! We had the Whitefish wrap and the Whitefish basket. Both came with fries. Both choices were big enough to share! The fish is NOT your store bought frozen fish. Excellent meals!

Service was fast food was delicious, I had the shrimp and the shrimp were so fresh it was a soft creamy taste, best shrimp i have ever ate. the batter was so good MMMMMMMMM !

Really good food. The stuffed shrimp is absolutely fantastic. I really liked their rice too. Though I wish the crab had an actual price and it wasn't a guessing game. It's definitely a more expensive place, $30+ for one meal.

The staff is friendly, however I wasn't given my silverware and took a minute to get any, but I know it gets busy so props on the staff for doing their best to keep up.

We happened to stumble upon this place visiting Soo Locks! It was excellent! We really got there just in time before they closed for the season, and were out of a few things, but that didn’t hinder the experience at all. In order, we got the Whitefish Basket with sweet potato fries, the club sandwich, and the whitefish dinner with wild rice and mashed potatoes. Kyle, our server was very kind! Everything was absolutely delicious. I personally had the whitefish basket, and as someone who doesn’t eat a lot of fish or had never tried whitefish before, this was a great choice. Thanks Kyle for a great experience! Can’t wait to come back again one day!

We stopped here to have an early dinner after our soo lock boat tour. It was between this restaurant and another one that did not have very good reviews. We overheard one of the visitor center workers talking about how good this restaurant was. I looked up the reviews and they were excellent. I am so glad that we ate here because I had the most delicious whitefish ever. My husband had the pastie and absolutely loved it. We also had a cocktail which was very reasonably priced.

The Fried Whitefish and Chips was amazing. The Bloody Mary was good as well. The kids loved the chicken tenders and fries. But after they both tried my Whitefish, they wished they ordered that instead.

Fast and delicious, the food was fresh and the restaurant was clean. Couldn’t ask for a better lunch. Ordered the chicken bacon sandwich, very tasty.

Employees were very friendly which was a welcome change from the normal exasperation we experience if we ask any questions in a touristy area that have been asked a million times.

Food came out fast! I had the whitefish basket. He had a burger. The burger was as expected but my fish was way above par and my husband agreed. I really liked the tartar sauce too, which was something a bit more than the mayo/relish mixed together that we usually find at WI fish fries.

We ate here because Under the Radar had an episode featuring it. We managed our expectations to not live up to a TV experience. What a nice surprise to have our experience surpass that.

I wish we could have spent more time but we were running against the meter.

We searched online and read reviews before deciding to eat here, it was amazing! I don't even particularly care for fish but wow, the whitefish tacos tasted so good. My mom loves fish and Said she'll be eating here next time we cross the bridge.

Delightful step back in time restaurant. Our dinner at Lockview was wonderful, from food to service 5 stars. This place feels so nostalgic and representative of the region. We were seated right away on the main floor and taken care of by Mandy who was likely the sweetest girl in the Sault.

We ordered traditional dinner plates which come with two choices of sides. Delicious! If you want a good meal at a good price this is the place. Head over to the park across the street to watch the boats come through.

OMG! This place is amazing! Kyle was our waiter and he is simply marvelous! He's been with this restaurant for 9 years and knows everything about it! Quit with answers and suggestions. Everything was delicious. Drinks and food! Beware of the Lake Eerie Iced Tea. Lol 😂 it'll get you where you want to be quick!
Will definitely be taking all future guests to eat here and meet Kyle!

You can watch boats go through the Soo Lock while eating. Fresh fish from the lake as well.

I am usually disappointed by fish I eat at restaurants, but I got the Cajun grilled walleye and it was one of the best fish meals I've had at a restaurant. The restaurant is very vintage style yet updated. Great vibes, great food great staff. The parking out front stops charging after 5pm. Also there are plenty of gluten free options on the menu, both grilled fish and Cajun seasoned.

Great food and drinks! We had the margarita, sangria, and Bloody Mary- all were awesome. The perch basket was excellent and the turkey club was loaded with turkey. Our server (Mandy) impressively noticed two of us switched drinks and offered to remake something for us if we didn’t like our drink. There was no problem, rather we just liked each other’s drinks better. Only downside was the upstairs was closed so there wasn’t a view of the locks from our table. Not a huge deal as we were headed over there after.

Great breakfast. I ordered the southern omelette, and added mushrooms, and it is fantastic and delicious.

Just good solid comfort food in a home-cooked (diner?) style. Staff was friendly, accommodating and attentive.

Also it was only $12.51, so this place is a excellent value and I will absolutely recommend eating here for breakfast again tomorrow.

It was recommended to me to come here for the fresh caught fish, I'll have to come another time to try those offerings.

Awesome restaurant right across from the soo locks. If you sit on the roof you can watch the boats go thru the locks. Food is delicious! Some of the best whitefish I've ever had.

We were seated right away, had a fantastic and attentive waitress.
The food was out super fast and was still steaming hot!
The waitress kept hubbs coffee filled and joked with us a lot.
Pretty cool place, if we go back to the soo, I’ll definitely eat here again!!

Some of the best food we had while in the UP! The waitress timed the appetizers, soup and meals perfectly! We got to sit on the second floor and got to watch the Soo Locks while we ate!
