This is a very easy hike and the drive into the trailhead is well-maintained. You might have to pull off to the side a little to let cars pass, but not bad considering this far north.

There are approximately 15 parking spots. If you have four-wheel-drive, with a high ground clearance you might have 18 spots.

The trail is incredibly flat and very easy to navigate and very wide. We went in the late summer and there were hundreds of mushrooms to identify and photograph if you’re into that.

The trail goes along the creek and the fall are extremely pretty. There were some people in the water when we got there. Overall, very very well populated. If you’re going on the weekend, you better get there early.

Really nice short hike. From the parking area to the falls was about 2.5 miles round trip. Lots of scenery, birds and squirrels. Take a swim when you reach the falls. Well worth the short trip.

I had a great time hiking this trail. It has beautiful views of the waterfall leading all the way up to the main attraction. The trail isn't hard, but it did have a few downed trees on the path you might have to climb over or under. If you are in the area, it's worth your time to go explore it.

This is a short and easy, but beautiful, trail. There are a ton of spots to stop along the trail to see different sections of the creek. The main waterfall is wonderful, and there was no one else on the trail when we got there (around 9 am).

Not as easy as I remember. Lots of rocks and roots to trip on. Might be easy for someone younger that doesn't have knee replacements and other minor mobility problems. Lots of downed trees that you crawl under or over. Worth the work to get to the falls with a pool below it. Very pretty. Lots of downed trees around the pool.

Easy hike to Hemlock creek it’s 1 mile from parking area. Another .75 if you decide to go to the upper creek one.

So beautiful! First time here and it was amazing. Gorgeous views up the trail and able to see the water all the way to the very top waterfall. Not very crowded at all - but I went on a Monday. Nice area at top to hang out and watch the waterfall. I put up my hammock but there was lots of space for tents or camping chairs.

My wife and I enjoyed this hike. There are a lot of exposed roots and some slippery washed out areas along the trail. This adds some difficulty but makes it more of a "hike" than a "walk". There are several picturesque areas of the creek along the way. Don't expect to see any wildlife along the trail as the mountain laurel is thick everywhere. Once you reach the falls, you can rest on rocks or fallen logs. There were a few young kids in the edge of the falls pool splashing around. That looked rather refreshing.

Absolutely amazing! The short, around a mile, hike to get to this breathtaking destination was well worth it! We went early on a Sunday morning and had the place all to ourselves for a few hours. So many photo opportunities! You will be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't bring your real camera. A phone is OK but to really capture all of the beauty, I highly recommend bringing your camera.

This was an amazing hike. It is an easy walking trail with beautiful sights the whole way through. Just know, your shoes will get wet! There are several places where water runs over the trail.

Fairly easy trail, just bring some old shoes to wear since patches of the trail tend to collect water.

Easy hike and waterfalls along the way. Don't be afraid to climb down and see the ones on the way to the big lady fall.

What's not to like?

Hemlock Falls is a beautiful waterfall and the trailhead is located just across the street from the Moccasin Creek park campground.

It's not a very long walk, maybe 30 minutes. The best times to go are in the late spring to enjoy just how pretty the forest is, or after a good rain so you can see just how hard the fall can flow.

Great place for casual hikes, dogs, and families.

Very nice hike. Not a hard trail but be careful of lots of roots and rocks sticking out. Loved all the streams and waterfalls along the way. Really pretty!
