We went in May a perfect time for a four day hike! The trail was well kept and the shelters were nice (kinda far off the trail though)! Plenty of hard and easy parts! Very peaceful!

This is a great spot to experience the trail, just get there early to get one of the limited parking spots. A good climb at first until you get to the camping area.

Great experience! Did this portion of the Appalachian Trail with my dog on a Friday. It was pretty rocky and has some large step ups and down, but I saw all age groups represented on the trail except kids. You should be auto handle a few flights of stairs do this trail. I passed 6 people going the other way. I didn’t see any bears or snakes. Took about an hour and 15 minutes.

Beautiful scenery very lean and well preserved! We all love the family adventure. We go every year at a different time of the year so it's like a different place everytime!!

Just reminiscing. Hiked the AT through here in May of 1991; a Long time ago. Have since moved to the Smoky Mountains and hiking every chance I/we get. This was a "remember this" trip visiting road crossing and trail towns.

Best horseback riding I ever had in my life. Our guide, Adrianna was awesome. Her contagious enthusiasm, energy and knowledge made this riding the perfect one. Spectacular views and the trail is not a boring flat one. Very affordable! This is a must do when visiting Georgia.

Ours was short hike but beautiful. Not too crowded. Be careful of all the leaves this time of year, they obscure roots.

Rough hike but beautiful

The trail is maintained enough to be passable, but not so much to lose its natural beauty. The views are spectacular and the hike a challenge you don't want to miss.
