I had a great first experience! The employees were very friendly and they were very helpful with explaining the menu! I LOVED all the sauce options! The summertime lemonade was perfect and the strawberry shortcake was mouth watering! Definitely would love to come here again!

All the meats were excellent. Also loved coleslaw, Mac n cheese and brownies for sure. Fair priced. Sat outside at a picnic table with umbrella but indoor is available as well.

Great service and great food. It's also a very clean location. First time visiting and my family loved it. Will for sure go back again .

This was a great experience and thanks to the young man running the cash register for the welcoming atmosphere :) idk your name but at this location he has black hair and shakes everyone's hand. To make you remember me "double it up" and "my name's Jon" and then onto the food. While the Memphis belle packs any flavor the rest of the sauces I tasted was fantastic and accurately representing the region they are from. The Mac n cheese was fantastic and so was the pulled pork over all you guys get 15/15 thanks a lot for the great lunch!

Tried Mission BBQ for the first time, excellent food! The place was clean and inviting, and does a great job promoting respect ans support for the service men and women of all branches. Staff were polite and helpful, quick to get our order together and attentive in asking if all was well. The brisket was tasty, half a chicken was THE BEST CHICKEN I've ever had- wow! Portions were generous, pricing reasonable, it's great to have this option available here locally.

Best tasting bbq in the area that we've tried. I recommend getting their Mac & cheese and their baked beans as a side.

It was our first time at the restaurant last Friday just before noon. Exceptional service, the food was great and we will definitely go back. The person who took our order was fabulous. He explained the menu and how things worked. My wife said later "It felt like we were on another planet because the service was so good".

Love, love, love this place and the military, 1st responder atmosphere. The pulled pork & brisket is the best around. National anthem sung at noon is a great thing. My son's Air Force patch is on the wall now. Nola in Rockford illinois location is so sweet & friendly, great staff!

Delicious food, loaded with flavor and served hot! We have tried the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, baked beans and corn bread. Our first visit we were given a coupon for a free sandwich and everything was so good we went back the next week. The staff is friendly and helpful!

Everything rocked.

Only think missing was a buttered, toasted think piece of Texas toast. The little piece of corn bread they give you doesn't fit with the rest of the quality of the meal.

How can you not just appreciate a place like this! The celebration of our military and first responders! O.... did I mention they have awesome BBQ too? Had the sampler plater, and it was more than enough food to eat. First, the brisket ho boy, this was a great brisket, perfectly cooked and flavers throughout. Best of all, it was jucy with the perfect texture! Next, the sausage, one word, delicious! Last was the pulled pork it had a great flavor. However, just a bit dry for me, but fear not they have an abundance of BBQ sauces to make up for that. It was the only thing i added sauce to. Overall, the celebration of our heroes really made this place a great stop for my dinner.

MISSION BBQ is a great bbq chain out of Texas. It’s impressive that with so many locations they can still keep the quality of the bbq so consistently good. The whole experience takes me right back to fond memories of great bbq in Austin, TX where that aroma of smoke and bbq just hits you as you walk in.
Everything is made from scratch. And you can tell. Even all the sauces. There’s six varieties to choose from at the table. And then there’s the Alabama White Lightening sauce. Can’t think of anything better to have with brisket. Speaking of, the brisket is awesome and it’s great choosing between moist or lean. I gotta go with the moist! Pulled pork, smoked turkey were also great. Sides were good too. The smashed potatoes are really mashed potatoes but have tons of flavor.
MISSION BBQ is highly recommended. Some of the best bbq in the area.

Visiting the Rockford area & came across Mission BBQ. Approaching the counter to place an order & was a bit overwhelmed by the numerous choices. Just went simple with a turkey sandwich & sides of baked beans & green beans. Mentioned a first-time customer & server offered if you want to sample any of the other sides, just to ask.

As everything tasted delicious, asked if we could sample the mac- n-cheese & cold slaw - sure enough. A few minutes later server brought over the additional side samples, plus a strawberry shortcake treat. Service / servers were outstanding & will certainly stop in again on our next trip to the area.

Only disappointment, the nearest Mission BBQ to our home is an 11-hour drive. Might just have to move!

Mission BBQ did our wedding 06/15/2024 and it was amazing! We were initially going to interview 3-4 other BBQ places but we were so impressed we only interviewed them. Jen & Molly were amazing to work with. We did pulled chicken, pulled pork, smoked brisket, cream of corn, green beans with bacon, and cheesy potatoes. Apps were sausage & jalapeño sausage with cheese. We got a lot of compliments and had a ton of food leftover! Very affordable for the value. We got several servers, an event coordinator, and her assistant included in our package.

Excellent atmosphere, food, and staff. I write this while still sitting in the booth. Big ups to Janine, the manager and Joleisha, who checked us out, for being so welcoming and friendly to first time visitors. Kindness shouldn't be startling, but I'm just deeply impressed how well we were treated. Please patronize this spot! Highly recommend 👌!

I’ve been here on three separate occasions and every time, the staff has been super polite and respectful and just plain awesome. If you’re a veteran then you need to come here! The meat is juicy and tender and so tasty. Came for the peach cobbler today but they didn’t have any but I got banana pudding and it’s good too! I can hands down say this is my new favorite bbq spot here in Rockford.

Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants! Amazing food and service. I highly recommend this place.

Today was my first time ordering here. I ordered online and picked it up. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The woman who helped me with my order gave me the most exceptional customer service I have ever had. She answered all of my questions, gave me sauces to try since I've never been here, thanked me for my military service multiple times and even gave me a free dessert. (Please don't get her in trouble). I wish I got her name. Aside from the great food, I will be back for the amazing customer service.
