Georgia Boys BBQ - Frederick

This is probably the best barbecue you can get on the north side of town.
I highly recommend one of the sampler plates with their sausage and sauces that are on the table are outstanding.

This is a quiet laid-back place on rest with good service it's clean and the food is to die for.

There is an outside patio with umbrellas if you want to sit outside as well.

WOW, just WOW! I can not tell you how impressed we were with our experience this past Sunday. We made a reservation & our number of people grew above what we expected. I called them earlier in the week to let them know. We arrived & they had everything set up for us. With such a big group (and on a Sunday) I expected it to take awhile to get our orders taken & get the food. NOPE, they were ready, got our drinks & food in a very timely manner. Everyone in our group had a great time & really enjoyed their food. the crew was always walking around to make sure we had everything we needed. Hats off to the crew & management, thank you!

The best darn BBQ I've had since moving here to Colorado almost 2 years ago! Y'all gotta come taste a lil bit of heaven! The atmosphere was awesome! Service is great! And the best part about it is the meat! Oh and the beans and Texas toast! Yummmmy!!!

My daughter and myself enjoyed a night out at Georgia boys. This was our first time there and it was great. Our waiter was great, the atmosphere was wonderful. We will return with more family members to enjoy it. Would highly recommend the drive if you don't live close.

This was hands down the best BBQ place we have been to in our entire lives. The chicken wings were so good, just the right amount of smoke, sauce, and made to perfection. Everything we had ie the pork n beans, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, potato salad spot on! The pulled pork was awesome, the chopped chicken was moist and flavourful, the ribs so grubalicious, pork belly by far the best either my husband and I have ever had. Mixed drinks were done just right the Blue moon served fresh, cold, with an orange....we can not say enough great things about this place and their food. The atmosphere was laid back with a small town homey feel, eye catching decor, and a patio to sit in the sun with friends and loved ones!!! Our waitress "Kommander Katie"....you know who you are...was attentive, friendly, funny, and made us feel like extra special guests in her town's best restaurant! This is a destination restaurant!! If you love BBQ, this is the best!!! Don't miss out. Hey Georgia Boys would you guys please consider opening a location in Pueblo? Colorado Springs..at the very least!!!?? Thank you again this was truly a wonderful and extremely tasty experience for my husband and I.

2023 - back again. Even better this time.. just the aroma of the place is intoxicating.

2018 -Just when you thought BBQ was done, Georgia Boys gives it a pleasant twist with signature sauces and super tender meat. Be sure to get there early for the "Burnt Ends & Bits" as there is some intense flavor there. Portions are huge, beer selection great and prices reasonable. The special Peach Iced Tea was a nice touch. Enjoy.

Even though the catering order was a little bit of a Wait it was well worth the wait…that meat was very good! chicken pork and beef. Very tasty. Excellent sauces to accommodate.. sure we’ll return.

This restaurant is aweasome . Great service , down south feel and casual atmosphere. The food has alot of flavor and depth to it . Wide selection of drinks and food options . Indoor and outdoor dinning . Bar seating is also available with TV's for sports entertainment. I really enjoyed the ribs , cornbread , and beans. Made feel like I was down south again. My least favorite was the sausage. It wasn't bad just wasn't my speed. Overall for the price it all seemed stress free , comforting and left me wanting more !!!

I'm new to this area and had no expectations for this spot. What a treat!!! There are so many variations of bbq and complimentary sides. Don't underestimate the cocktails either! Delicious! I really like the outdoor dining option when the weather is nice.

I am from North Carolina the home of killer BBQ, but have to confess this place is solid competition. Everything was excellent especially the sides and brisket. The staff were very attentive and the location is easy to find and in the heart of a quaint little town.

I started with the sweet jalapeno cornbread, which comes with butter and honey. It's listed as a side but I chose to have it as an appetizer and that turned out to be a very good idea. Then, I ordered the beef brisket and pork ribs. The brisket was good, with moderate smoke flavor, tender, and lean as I asked. I know that I sacrifice moisture when I do this but I'm cool with it. The ribs were well-cooked and featured a nice glaze, free from sauce, with plenty of meat and again, a moderate amount of smoke.

For my sides, I enjoyed the barbecue beans that also have a few small pieces of meat (always an excellent idea) and the potato salad. Happily, the pieces of celery were unnoticeable and the mustard and mayo seem to be just the right amount. Personally, I prefer smaller chunks of potato and some amount of mashed between the chunks. But the flavor is there and that's the main thing.

Significantly, they feature several sauces on the table, which is ALWAYS a big hit with me. I love having that autonomy and the options. Their sauces are excellent. The ghost pepper sauce lives up to it's reputation as hot. But my money was on the sweet BBQ sauce and the (SC style) mustard BBQ sauce. These two stole the show for me.

Last but not least, the hostesses and the servers are all very nice and friendly. They've got a good thing going here. :)

Stopped in for the first time for a late lunch today around 1:30/2ish on my way back to the city from the oilfield. Posted up solo at the far end of the bar. The blonde bartender was super nice, as well as some of the other staff working nearby. I ordered the KC Combo with burnt ends, spare ribs, baked beans, and friend okra. The beans were solid, the okra was great. The burnt ends had good bark and were juicy, but I feel like could’ve used a bit more seasoning on the rub, salt n pepper. Still delicious. The spare ribs were super fat and meaty. Way thicker than Costco’s racks. Not sure what method they use for the ribs, but they were tender and juicy throughout. I wouldn’t think restaurants wrap their ribs, but maybe they do here. I’m an unwrapped ribs kinda guy when I do my own, I like that competition bite to em with the juicy tenderness inside. These were definitely some of the best ribs I’ve had at any BBQ restaurant though. Good sweet tea too! All in all, great first impression of the place and two thumbs up from this TX fella and fellow avid smoke roller. While not as good as my own BBQ I do at home ;) it’s up there! I’ll be back for sure. Bought a bottle of the delicious Hot Ghost sauce on the way out. Thanks and gig ‘em.

This is a great little BBQ joint! Enjoyed the sliced brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and an a la carte link plate. Perfect amount of smoke on the meat and brisket was super tender. I'm a Texas native and BBQ enthusiast that is always on the hunt for great BBQ. I will definitely be back!

You can't go wrong with the family plate at Georgia Boys BBQ. It's the perfect halfway point between Denver and Fort Collins, and with family in both, it's become our go-to meet-up spot for a meal. The burnt ends are a must must must.

The food the food the food the food was absolutely fantastic!

It was so tender and the service was so tremendous. One thing I did find out is the employees have all been there for 5 years or more. That says a lot about this business!

Parking on the side of the building and it is quite bigger than it appears.

We just moved here from southern TN and absolutely LOVE this restaurant! BEST wings we've ever had. Service is amazing and the staff make you feel right at home. Great atmosphere! One of our new favorite restaurants!

If you are looking for Great BBQ with outstanding atmosphere then Georgia Boys in downtown Frederick CO is the place to go. I love getting the plates with smoked meat and yummy sides like cornbread and coleslaw. They have a decent beer selection on top too including some great local breweries. My hubby and son like the bbq meat sandwiches the best. If you are there in the colder months enjoy a seat by a window overlooking Crist Park and out to the mountains. Warmer months you can sit outside on one of the patios. The back patio overlooks the playground which is great if you have kids that need to get their energy out. Want yummy eats in Frederick CO then this is the place to go!

Nice outdoor seating area and menu with wide variety of meats and sides. Tried the salad in an attempt to be less carb happy. 😆 everything tasted delicious and well prepared. Nice small city spot to stop for delicious food, beer and whiskey drinks.
