The Cheese Shop of Centerbrook

This is the best cheese shop I’ve ever been to. They are so helpful and knowledgeable. They were willing to allow me to taste several different cheeses before I fund what I was looking for. I’ll be going back any chance I get.

Visited for the first time today. Had a very nice chat with Stephanie who gave us a complete tour and described many of their products. Of course we picked up several items including a pulled pork pie which we will have for dinner tonight. Also tasted some out-of-this-world cheddar cheese. My wife saw their ad in INK magazine, a favorite of ours.

There isn't any better cheese shop around! Fantastic selection of cheeses from around the world and down the street. Besides cheeses, they also have many different meats and breads. Also Fondue sets!

My neighborhood cheese shop, and how lucky is that to even say? They are passionate about their products and their customer service. I love that they give people the time to make their choices, taste their options, and the wait doesn't matter when the service is so good. It's a joy to go in there, even if I only have $10 to spend, it's a treat to be treated so tenderly. PS - don't miss the artichokes in olive oil -- the artichoke hearts can be quartered easily, and are to die for, not to mention oil is worth the spend itself. <3

Sampled the cheeses we bought there last week. Absolutely fantastic. As many have noted, a true gem with a very wide eclectic range of cheeses. Elizabeth couldn’t have been more helpful and is clearly very knowledgeable. Worth the drive over from East Lyme. Can’t wait for a return visit. The Époisse btw was truly exquisite!

One of the best cheese shops I've been to in many years! Great collection and assortment of specialty items and cheeses from around the world. They also have the knowledge of the cheeses 🧀 to help you organize an amazing cheese and meat charcuterie board. Fresh baked goods as well. A must for any cheese lover.

Go...taste some of the best cheese selections this side of the Atlantic . Let the wonderful owners suggest something , but don't stop there...browse the chocolates and pastas, the jams and ready to bake pies, ice cream and so much more...like sourdough and baguetts. It is a Hidden gem .

Seriously the best cheese shop in the region! Staff is knowledgeable & helpful. Quality over quantity on everything but that doesn't mean limited choices. Fresh bread, Italian meats and other goodies! Go there!!

I sent care packages to my grandparents during the coronavirus shut downs. Now they comment about how good the meats and cheeses were in that box I sent them every time I see them! Thanks for the great service and amazing food! ... probably time for me to send another box soon ;)

Nice people. Even better foods! I tried three cheeses that were chosen according to my vague description of what I typically like. She nailed it! Came out with a bag of cheeses, meats, a jam and some crackers. Lovely little shop!
