Our family LOVE these guys! The owner, (I think Gabe? Don’t kill me, man. I’m so sorry but I’m usually horrible with names!) is so nice and helpful. Very opinionated and I could pick his brain for hours. 🤣 James is always so helpful and friendly when we come in and both fellas will give you HONEST opinions, advice, recommendations etc. They’re always so patient with my old tail asking 20 questions!

I am so glad that we found this great gem. We don’t usually venture to Madison often, but we gladly make the trip whenever we are able to browse around.

We have bought a Wii console here, and many games. They have a wide variety of games for so many different systems with great prices! They have also fixed our Xbox for a reasonable price.. he was very knowledgeable and fair.

Alabama Game Exchange has the best deals in the greater Madison area, I have been to stores all over the state and there is nowhere that they know their stuff better. Other game stores either jack up their prices or don’t have anything worth buying, but AGE has a great selection at an extremely reasonable price point. Been coming here for years and heavily recommend if you are at all interested in previous generations of gaming.

I bought 3 systems all in great condition for the price and a bunch of games to go with them I looked everywhere for some of my childhood consoles and everywhere else was super overpriced but not here you will not find better value anywhere else in my opinion the owner was also very knowledgeable and even cleaned and fixed up a few things i requested on the consoles in front of me I highly recommend shopping here and I will definitely be returning

We came in just to look around and to get a feel for game prices. We ended up staying over an hour, buying multiple games, and a retro con hd. The staff were outstanding and very knowledgeable. Also a lot of fun to talk to. I was happy to learn they also do repairs cleaning and solder services.

Highly recommend if you're a retro gaming enthusiasts, are in to arcade machines/ cabinets, or want to buy any gaming console.

One of 3 great Retro game stores in Madison county and phenomenonal service. Good game selection and -hardware-. Got a double ended RCA cable for my home set up and previously a good Genesis controller.

Owner is cool and very knowledgeable of his stuff. Couple of discs that I bought were cleaned (in front of me) before I left but didn’t play later on. Gabe and others were super cool to warranty it out for another. Alabama Game Exchange has a good vibe for mature customers. He is very realistic on part supplies and costs.

I had a non-game related issue with a piece of camera equipment which was well repaired. A very fine wire in the body of the camera needed to be repaired and Alabama Game Exchange was able to make the repair and my equipment is now functional. A good job well done!

They had a great selection and very reasonable prices. Game works great!

Very nostalgic atmosphere - playable arcade machines making the noises of your childhood, excellent selection of games for both casual and hardcore gaming. Gabriel has expert knowledge fueled by what can only be called competitive collecting of gaming and entertainment media. If you want to spend an hour with normal people who “burp, fart, and chew gum”, just cutting up and enjoying relaxed conversation, this is your store.

Great selection of games at a reasonable price, great atmosphere, the product is of good quality as well. The owner and his employees are very personable and welcoming. My wife and I had came in just to browse for a bit and ended up having a great conversation with the owner. Will definitely be returning.

Best game store in the tri-county area. Gabriel and James are knowledgeable and proficient. Always willing to help us find anything that we need. The place has a great set up, and even has arcade machines for play and for sale!

This store is one of a kind. How many stores do you know will make sure you understand the value of your retro systems. Not just buy it from you and sell it at the high price. Honesty is a big thing at this store there’s not a lot of ppl or stores like that. So trust me go into the store look around. I’ve never ever had bad service from the store it’s always great and Cabinet arcade games are there to play so I would suggest go check it out

Best game store in Alabama, hands down. great prices, great selection (especially of harder to find titles) and great service. There's not many places where you walk in and are instantly recommended games to try out based on your preferences. And from experience, these recommendations work! I've found some awesome hidden gems through here and I can't recommend it enough.

I love going in this store. All the staff are super helpful. There are loads of new indie games to explore as well as older systems such as Dreamcast and Sega Saturn. The people are ethical and trustworthy with prices and exchanges. My favorite place to shop for games, period.

Been here a few times, need to go back but the owner is really cool (and weird in his own way). Great selection of games and consoles but also arcade games! If you live in the area or just visiting you definitely need to stop by!

First time stopping in with my wife last night to find a power supply and a couple of game cube games to re live our childhood lol. Super super friendly customer service!! The owner likes to get to know you to help make suggestions to things to try and expand your game playlist! And not to mention all the games you buy he runs through a disk re surfacing machine and personally inspects each disk to ensure they are 100% scratch free and like new!!!! We will definitely be long term customers for sure!!! Thanks again!
