Butters Ace Hardware

Love visiting this store. The free popcorn and a Toast search party always has the kids excited to come run errands here. Their selection is also awesome and my wife has ended up shopping here more than I do!

This place is special. If you’ve never been you just have to try it. You would never think a hardware store could bring so much joy, but this one does. I look forward to taking my kids. They hang out and pick out a toy for themselves or a gift for mom while I get what I need for a project. If I go in with questions, I get answers, along with help finding everything I need. Memories are always made at Butters and we can’t wait to go back again.

My new favorite store! All the employees are so nice and helpful, especially Annah! My family and I come here at least once a week and I can’t leave the store without buying something 🤣 and my kids LOVE seeing Toast !

Lots to say about a brand new hardware store, well equipped, faultless displays, large selection, and uncluttered aisles. Staff was very friendly. Purchased wood pellets, electrical supplies, and sodas and a snack. Pleasant experience.

Best Ace I’ve ever been to. Looked up the location online because I needed a new Key Fob for my car and got the best customer service. Met the owner Carl and he even shared a great location for hiking (as I’m new to town). Chuck helped me with the key fob and was super helpful as I had some questions about my garage opener. Plus, this is the most beautiful hardware store I’ve ever been to. When I walked in, I thought I was in a boutique gift shop — they even offer GIFT WRAPPING!! My new place to go before parties. I say grab a tea or coffee from 1819 and then head over to Ace to wander the aisles for all kinds of goodies…and great people too!

Hands down, the best hardware store I've ever been to. It's hard calling it a hardware store. They have everything and the nice thing is that it's all quality. Anything from quality clothing to high end dog food to anything hardware related. If you decide to kill time and walk around, you'll find something you didn't know you needed or wanted. Staff is top notch. Helpful, educated and not pushy. I wish this store was in my state. This store should be the benchmark that all other stores are compared to.

I LOVE Butters Hardware. Best store to open in our neck of the woods in recent memory. Only negative is that I can’t seem to go in there without buying more than I went in for. Perfect place to shop with the husband- he heads to his half of the store and I head to mine and we meet up in the outdoor section- or checkout. He says he will never go to Home Depot or Lowe’s again. I have told my kids that they can forget Amazon and get all my birthday, Christmas and Mothers Day presents at Butters!

beautiful store! so many unique items in addition to superb things you'd expect at a hardware store. unbelievable grill section, and almost another whole store of unique gifts and ladies clothing. a little hard to find as there is no ace sign on the building, but it is up the hill and faces the road so just look for it...it's worth it.

We absolutely love Butters Ace Hardware! It’s been so nice having a place where we can get all the things we need and maybe just want. The customer service has been great. They even helped us switch to a healthier dog food that our dog loves

Very nice ACE store with a huge variety of items, even home decorations. They have great folks working here, locally owned as well. Big Green Egg and Weber grills are stocked, and they’re a dealer for Stihl power equipment.

This is an ace hardware store like you’ve never seen before… They have everything you need plus boutique style items, greeting cards, decor, cold drinks, clothing, etc. etc. etc.

The owners and employees are some of the most friendly, helpful people.
I go here for virtually all my hardware, tools, grilling needs, they have a great selection of just about everything you would need for your house.

AMAZING selection of gifts and adventure wear! Owners are incredibly kind. Everyone there is overly helpful. So wonderful to have this in Tollgate!
