I visit this store every time I come up to Knoxville! The popcorn is fresh and flavorful, the folks are friendly, and my sweet/cheesy tooth is satisfied! Our grandson loves the packets of “space ice cream” he gets there as well!

All I have to say is WOW. This is a really neat place to come to for a great treat (that is so out of the norm but awesome!) People usually go after dinner or out just for ice cream or frozen yogurt and even now cookie dough, but this is specialty popcorn that they bag right in front of you for what you want. Different sizes and many different flavors to choose from along with nostalgic candy and glass bottle pop! (Soda) They also have other merchandise that is local and beautiful! Forgive me because I'm not good with names, but I believe the owner was there and his brother is the magic maker in the back (classically trained chef come here to make some gourmet popcorn; I'd do it!) Very nice owners and employees especially with the samples which usually places don't like when you ask for samples but these guys wanted you to! Shortened: awesome gourmet popcorn, something different and great owners. Go give them a try!! Oh and the flavors we got were strawberry cheesecake, white chocolate, caramel and cheddar mixed and cherry cordial (seasonal flavor but OH SO GOOD!) Thank you guys!

The perfect spot for an on the go snack, or after dinner treat, and one of our favorite gift options! Delicious locally owned popcorn with touches of Knoxville throughout their store, and truly something for everyone. All the flavors I have tried have been delicious! I am a big fan of the classic favors, movie theater butter and cheddar. You can tell the popcorn is well made and it is super cute inside the store! Plus my children love all of the goodies for them! I love seeing the variety of flavors and how they change it up seasonally! A stop you must make when traveling through downtown or west Knoxville!

OMG….The corn-flict was trying to choose what flavor..I finally came to a corn-clusion and opted for Banana pudding and PB chocolate!

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Its on the pricier side, however its craft popcorn, locally owned and is super tasty!

Corn-gratulations you have earned a loyal customer and plan on returning often to try the other flavors.

Their popcorn is so good! The Zebra Drizzle is my absolute favorite. They provide a large variety of sizes and flavors to meet any needs. I brought a large bag in to my work and it was such a hit with my coworkers. They also provide samples so you can try the different flavors! The service is so friendly too

This was an unusual find. As soon as you clear the door the smell of popcorn hits you. An array of gourmet popcorn is made fresh each day. They scoop it up and package it in heat sealed bags.

Also available is a selection of old fashioned candy like pop rocks, small toys, and some good root beers.

If you are looking for something different or a place to get a great small gift for someone this is the place.

Stopped by before flying to go back home to Oregon. I was very shocked by the quality of their white cheddar and cheese popcorn. I am an avid fan of Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn, but Proper Popcorn's white cheddar is everything I have wanted Smartfood's to be. The white cheddar is thick and when you compare pricing, Proper Popcorn's is the way to go! The amount of cheese you get from Smartfood's family bag is the equivalent to a snack size bag at Proper Popcorn and you feel better eating it over the Smartfood White Cheddar popcorn. I think I'm going to have order some bags when I can't make my bag last any longer. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!

Amazing store. The staff was super helpful with getting the perfect setup of popcorn and candy. The flavors are extensive to the point that you WILL find a popcorn creation that you love. The prices are also very affordable. For ad little as $20-25 you can get out with a great amount of popcorn and candy.

Absolutely amazing and a great experience! You get to try the popcorn, employees are super nice and the popcorn tastes fantastic!!! We are getting some for our wedding favors on Halloween, we decided to mix flavors and make our own combinations. Our friends and family loves it and wants to go now. Would be a great suprise for a family night along with a redbox movie since theaters are closed...

Super cute place! Very spacious and colorful. Plenty of cute gifts other than popcorn as well. Bulk candy, UT items, etc. The popcorn is very tasty! Really unique gift idea! Will be back again. If you like savory, the garlic parm is amazing!

We stumbled upon this gem today and are SO GLAD WE DID! This is a local, family owned business and the owner Phillip is such a nice guy! The staff was friendly, personable and happy to dish out samples so you can figure out what you love BEFORE you buy it, which is much appreciated because the sea of options are quite overwhelming the first time you visit! The cheddar bacon is to die for and we ended up with the zebra drizzle which is amazing as well. This would be an excellent place to buy gifts, not just around the holidays but for any special occasion. We look forward to stopping here again the next time we are in Knoxville (with a game plan!!)

Wonderful popcorn! I ordered a tin of 3 kinds of popcorn. It shipped the same day and was very fresh and good tasting when received. Comes in a cute tin. My husband loved the popcorn!

The first thing you need to do is forget about those drug-store popcorn tins you get at the holidays. That's not what you're buying here. Proper Popcorn is a completely different category of snack. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's also definitely worth it. First, you will notice that the popcorn pieces themselves are different from most popcorn. They are larger and thicker. To me this does two things. 1) It keeps the entire batch from crushing into little pieces like the cheap stuff does. 2) The greater surface area of the popcorn means you get more flavoring. That part is clutch because that's what makes this popcorn proper. I got sweet and savory flavors and both are excellent. The seasoning is evenly applied without having the effect creating a dust cloud when you open the tin. And the taste is outstanding. When it says bacon cheddar, you taste bacon and cheddar. When it says salt and vinegar... you guessed it, you get them both. It's truly a gourmet snack. There's no other way to look at it. What's also a nice side bonus is that I'm eligible for the one-day standard shipping from UPS, which is crazy because I live in Atlanta and this store is in Knoxville.

I'll admit I was hesitant at the thought of spending this much money on popcorn. I mean, I figured I can get it cheaper at the grocery store. The thing is...after eating it, I realize you can't get this at the grocery store. It's not even right to compare this to Jiffy Pop or whatever brand you want to put in your microwave. You wouldn't make an apples to apples comparison of McDonald's and a steakhouse. Don't make the same mistake here. Take the leap and order this stuff. It's amazing.
