One of my favorite spots in Durham! An awesome bulk store with a great mission. They help to keep my pantry stocked and free of plastic.

Part and Parcel is the best bulk store I've been into! They have refills of liquid soap, household cleaning products, and a selection of dry foods. They have refills of some oils and sauces, which I've never seen anywhere else. The staff are so friendly, and community oriented.

I can't believe it took me this long to leave a review because I love every single thing about Part & Parcel. Primarily, it feels incredible to look at a bag full of pantry staples & other goodies and celebrate the amount of packaging I was able to avoid by shopping here. This felt especially good when we used P&P to supply the cocktail hour snacks for our wedding (do yourself a favor and try their gummy bears immediately). Trying to make more sustainable decisions can often end up costing more money, but P&P is one of those options that typically costs the same or less than buying the same items elsewhere. They also give you the option to offset some of the extra time it takes to add visiting a separate bulk store into your routine by having an online ordering option where they weigh it all for you into up-cycled jars which makes the whole process SO EASY! With their new location, parking is never an issue. In addition to these perks, P&P is run by the Autism Support and Advocacy Center. Last time I visited the store, I had the privilege of overhearing the employees discuss their previous experiences navigating neurodiversity discrimination in the workplace and how much of an improvement P&P was for being truly inclusive and not standing in the way of employees with varying strengths doing their jobs well. Shopping here means you're helping to keep these employment opportunities available. Finally, the selection here is outstanding. My favorite unexpected perks beyond the more typical pantry staples are the huge selection of dehydrated foods that make it so easy to prepare meals for camping, the new frozen fruit options, and all the local goodies.

Please do yourself, your community, and your planet a favor and support this business.

I love this store. I'd been hearing about it for a while and finally made it in to the new location. It is exactly what it says it is, a no-frills, no packaging, bulk food store. You can drop off glass jars for reuse, or bring your own. There is a simple tare system for containers, and almost everything is sold by weight.
Really solid selection of staples and snacks.
Staff is friendly and helpful! I look forward to shopping here regularly!

I'm so glad this place exists! I can get most dry goods that I'd buy at a grocery store, in a plastic-free alternative. The stain stick for laundry (it's magic), rice mixes (especially the saffron one), and the dry herbal teas are just a few favorites. Bring your own jars or borrow one of theirs.

I am so excited to have this business in the neighborhood! I go almost every week. There's such a great selection of pantry staples, snacks, spices, cleaning and bath products, and just fun and interesting foods that are package free! I just got a single dryer ball after one mysteriously went missing! Favorite snack is the chocolate covered pretzels.

Some great supplies that you can’t find waste-free anywhere else, and easy to order from home to pick up. Some of my favorite products here have been the soy sauce (super affordable!), the anti-odorant (made locally and works really well on stinky people such as myself), the toothpaste tabs, and the snacks such as cheesy whale crackers and peanut butter pretzels. All of this is bought zero waste and they accept your old glass jars and bottles! I’ve really cut down on my waste and kept still usable glass jars out of the recycling. So glad to have Part and Parcel in Durham and hoping to see more of this kind of mindset in our city!

Really solid variety of stuff! I love the experience of getting everything I need from a single room. Plus you can bring your own containers or use some of theirs to save the planet some plastic.
