The best game store I’ve visited! This store had every game you could think of plus many you’ve never heard of! They even had a selection of Kickstarter games available. The games were fairly priced. They had miniatures and everything you need to paint them. Large selection of frisbee golf discs and accessories. Beautiful dice sets, Knick-knacks, and more also available. The store was clean and unlike some game stores - it smelled good! The store is connected to a board game cafe next door which looked clean and inviting. I really loved that Cape Fear Games is very social with planned events and even an introductory night to get kids into tabletop RPGs. I wish I lived closer!!

The online photos did not do this board game store justice for the size selection they have, which is very big. This has been the best board game store I’ve been to, we have been to handfuls of board game shops across NC. I would highly recommend this place for any level of board games you play, children, entry level to high difficulty games. Has Warhammer, card, dice and many other accessories. The back has lots of disc golf supplies and next door you can currently reserve a table to rent and play board games, the cafe part seems to be closed.

The staff are abundant and knowledgeable, helpful, asks you great probing questions to get a feel for what board game would work for you or what your looking for if you’d like and gives their opinion on their game play experience. The store is well organized by category/style game, clean and well stocked.

Husband was able to find a couple new games for two players, one that is new and upcoming in popularity and fairly easy to play, we found a board game that a friend has been searching for a long time and got a couple games as gifts for our friend’s birthday.

Puzzles, family games, disc golf supplies and so much more. Meghan was very knowledgeable and courteous. She signed me up and I received a discount for being in healthcare. This also goes for police, firefighters and other various occupations. Huge selection of disc golf needs. This is a must go place.

Amazing game store. They have everything you could possibly want or need as far as board games, strategy games and card games could go. Perfect for gifts or any game lover. They even have a sale section. I could literally spend hours in here just looking at all the different games! A must see for sure.

Excellent store very clean, very well stocked, fair pricing on both buying and selling sides. Graders seemed very fair. I really enjoyed my experience and I'll be back. Shipping is taking a small bit but I guess that's to be expected. Overall a great experience, I drove two hours to go to a great game store and will do it again!

Well generally a pleasant experience, but was unaware of a strict 30 day only return window and tried to return an unopened card game expansion and was said there is nothing they can do. It's printed on the receipts but who reads that anyway.

Buyer beware and all that.

Store & staff were amazing. The vibe is fantastic and welcoming - something I can't say about every gaming store. Great selection and helpful staff members.

Called about Warhammer miniatures. They had a decent size selection but I was super happy they had both combat patrols I wanted. Ended up picking one and glanced over their paint and primer sections.

Definitely going to be going back when I have more time to browse their selection more thoroughly

What a great find! This store has an amazing board game and disc selection. There were so many games I've not seen before in other game stores, including expansions of which I wasn't aware. I saw a small variety of minis and a large offering of paints available too. The staff was super friendly, and very approachable. Cape Fear Games is connected to a board game cafe next door, which was closed when we went mid-day, but there were several tables throughout both businesses on which to play board games. There is also a room toward the back of the store with a sampling of open games (I dunno, maybe 250 games?) that can be used for a test round. It appears there are activities at this location almost every night, I noted from conspicuously posted schedules throughout the store. The ambience of this store is overall super chill and welcoming. I highly recommended gamers and newbies alike to visit, neither will be disappointed!!

The best disc golf (and board game)shop in Wilmington. It's rare that I can't find what I'm lookin for and Philip and Jon are always so helpful on both ends of the store.

What a great store! They immediately getcha with a giant chest of dice when you walk in. They have a great selection of games and things are very clearly labeled. It’s clean, organized, and the staff seemed very friendly. I wish I didn’t live 2 hours away. I will hopefully be back again!

Amazing game store that hits two hobbies in one place. The game and disc selection are out of this world. The staff were super happy, friendly, and energetic to provide any assistance. Kudos to having a game store covering both disc golf and board games. Support this local business if you can so stores like this can stay around!

This is one of my favorite places in Wilmington! The game selection is great, staff are friendly and know their stuff, and both the shop and play space have a welcoming vibe. This place is a true gem!

Our classroom took a field trip today to Cape Fear Games. We had an AMAZING time and our kiddos can't wait to go back! Heath was great about accommodating all of our wishes (food options, educational games, time frame). The kids pre-ordered lunch before we arrived, and the food was healthy, and they offered gluten free and vegan options. The staff were super friendly and helped our kids learn how to play new games. The kids enjoyed the staff members and said they were a lot of fun to play games with! I felt like a kid again. All in all, it was an amazing trip and I personally can't wait to go back and enjoy a night of game playing with my own friends!

Great came shop with amazing customer service. Purchased items online in coordination with their team. They shipped next day and packaged the items very carefully to ensure they arrived in perfect condition.
