Awesome hardware store,amazing amount of stuff for such a small place! Friendly and knowledgeable people!

The proprietor knew and said hello to every single person who came in to shop. Not hard in a small town but it sure is nice that she did.

It is amazing the variety of things they sell in there and still have good prices. It is the original store that covered your needs long before the mega stores. It is family run, neighborhood supported, and providing pretty much most things you need without having to leave town. Besides being a mainstay of the community, visitors would love the feel of going back in time to prices on the items (finding older stickers mean older prices) and no fancy scanning.

They have more items than many much bigger stores, and a very diverse mix of stuff from food to gardening to construction to hardware to gifts and toys. Best part is the owners Charlie and Amy are the nicest people and always have knowledge to give on every subject you can bring up and need assistance. Sherry the longest running employee goes out of her way to help with any thing. I have patronized this store for 30 years. I buy local, support local hands down over big box stores.

Funny I didn't know this was the actual name of the place. Everyone just calls it Charlie's. He has everything. You want, hot dogs, 10 penny nails, oil lamp wicks, bread, milk, galvanized washers, tools, wading boots, baby chicks in the spring. I think you get the picture. If you go to another store looking for it and they don't have it they inevitably say try Charlie's. Just don't do anything to get him riled up. "No soup for you."

Ask to speak to Charley he is the best if you bring what is broken I.E bursted pipe from the cold he can probably help you at least get as close as possible to getting you're problem solved. Cool place and cooler home decor spot and some outdoor stuff car stuff pluming stuff wiring toys allot and it's not that bad in pricing.

I have to say this place is awesome. They have a little of everything. If you are a prepper visit, if you are a pet person visit, if you're looking for that little unique Hardware item visit, and if you are new to the area this is a place to put on your list for fun and unique items as well as many Essentials you may not find just anywhere.

Best hardware store in a 50 mile radius! If Charlie doesn't have it no one does. If your in need of something to get you out that home owner or apartment pinch I advise you to head right to Hobart hardware for your needs. Time for searching is wasted time you can be putting into solving the problem. Don't waste the time on your search Hobart hardware will have what you need. I can guarantee that.

Competitive pricing, knowledgeable worker/owner. If they don't have what you're looking for they will know where to find it.
Looks are definately deceiving, little store LOTS of items. Food, hardware, tools, plumbing, electrical, automotive, pet and outdoor & foot wear.

Anything you need... They will have it. Cant find it?. Just tell them what you are looking for and they will either tell you what isle and location or they will show you themselves.. i prefer to do 90%of my business here over anywhere else around town.. if it was not fod Hobart hardware. Id be in Oneonta 3 to 4 times daily. ;)

I love this place!
This is a mom and pop hardware store. Anything you need it's probable there. Not just hardware lots of stuff.
And the cat at the door you can let him in. He owns the place.

Hobart hardware is the best ...you can get anything & I mean anything you could dram of chopmeat,bread ---plumbing supplies, paint- need brushes and poles to clean your chimmeny? Yup they have em...need plants for garden ? Yup

Always excellent service and a huge variety of items. One of very few general stores left and Charlie has almost everything under the sun available

If you need something, it can be found here. It's almost magical in how hard-to-find items can be found here. The pricing is very competitive, too.

You can tell Ace is closed right now because you need something. They probably don't have the weird fitting you need anyway.

A friendly helpful store with convenient hours and friendly service. I especially like the garden and plant department.

If Charlie doesn't have it, you don't need it!
