Neat little book store! Very calm and relaxing environment! Lots of books!

I visited Wheatberry Books for the first time today and it was beyond awesome! This charming little place had an abundance of books that I was dying to get my hands on, and it took every ounce of self-control to not buy them all. The atmosphere was a bit rowdy due to a children's author book signing, but it was really cool seeing all the kids excitedly exploring and enjoying books. Nonetheless, I managed to snag The Priory of the Orange Tree, The Way of Kings, and Asimov's Foundation - I couldn't be more excited to dive into these gems. I'm already counting down the days until I can return to Wheatberry Books during my next visit to Chillicothe!

Wheatberry Books is a sweet little shop full of bookish treasure to uncover. There is truly something for everyone to be found here. They have a cute little room for the kids, and they even offer storytimes. (Be sure to check for dates & times.)
I found an array of cards, apparel and gift items in addition to the well curated book selection. I was pleased to see a fully stocked shelf of secondhand books too. The shop is clean, tidy and the clerk was a very nice chap! It's definitely worth visiting, and there is much to see and do near their downtown location.

This was the cutest little bookstore! They had a good selection of new reads and other well loved books. We especially enjoyed the classics section and the used discounted books. If you're a book lover going to Chillicothe it's a must stop!

Downtown Chillicothe is experiencing a renaissance, and Wheatberry Books is part of that! It’s a lovely store to pop in to for exactly what you didn’t know you needed! I enjoyed browsing and picking up a couple of novels I’m exited to read, and they even helped me order another book to give as a gift!

Great local bookstore. When you walk in looking for nothing in particular and find that interesting book you knew nothing about…you have found a great bookstore.

It’s my favorite local bookstore. They support indie authors. I love the vibe inside of the place. Feels cozy. I always want to buy books when I’m in there and it would have rare finds or hidden gems!

Very nice set up. Clean lines and a friendly welcoming vibe. The employee was helpful. Books were a littler higher priced than amazon but I prefer to support small businesses even if there is a slightly higher price. Pickup to good books and considering joining their book club.

Wonderful little nook! Blew all my expectations. Excellent customer service with Miss Sarah. The children's books are in their own cozy corner with a rug for that welcoming feel. The bathroom even has a real changing station which is hard to find anywhere much less a non-food store. It has that super inviting charm of a café without the chaos of most bookstores. 5 star organization and category distinction. They order any book you cannot find on the spot. I encourage any book lover to support this local gem!

Lovely little shop in a wonderfully homey town. Brick front buildings, wooden floors. It was the first capital of Ohio and you feel like you step back in time or at least into a hallmark movie. Wonderful experience!

This charming little store provides a much-needed service to Chillicothe. It also adds to making Downtown Chillicothe truly destination worthy.

I discovered Wheatberry Books when an online search for a book that I wanted said I would find it here. Yes! A good bookstore is a real feather in the cap of any town, and I encourage everyone to support this business.

Five stars doesn't do justice to the quality of my experience with Wheatberry!

I got the Wheatberry Box for my wife as a Christmas gift, and after receiving it, I look like husband of the year. Not only is the book choice a perfect fit, the box was well put together, and even came with a personalized note. You just don't get this kind of quality from the big book stores.

Can't say enough about Wheatberry and would highly recommend for the book lovers in your life!

Charming little bookstore located in downtown Chillicothe in a historical storefront building. Delighted to find out they can order a book if they do not have available in their store. I love supporting small businesses. Wheatberry books has done a great job maintaining the historical appeal of their building and presenting their inventory in such a inviting way. Look forward to doing future business with them.

I stopped by when I was passing through town on a road trip and spent way more time here than I intended. The selection isn’t large, but it is fantastic and very intentionally picked. I picked up a book that I can’t wait to read. Also, the woman behind the counter was kind and super helpful as I asked a bunch of questions about the town and what other spots I needed to check out. I don’t know if I’ll ever be through town again, but if so, I would definitely make a trip back here.
