Peppermint

This is my favorite store to get items made by local or small businesses and is an excellent place to shop for items to gift. Their selection of greeting cards are funny and unique along with their Rochester themed section !

I fell in love with this boutique when I was in upstate NY years ago for school! They offer unique and one-of-a-kind apparel and jewelry. Every time I wear something from Peppermint, I get compliments on it.

The customer support is top notch. I found a gift card from 8 years ago that initially wasn’t compatible with their new POS system. The staff took time to go back through and verify the amount on the gift card and transferred the balance to an online gift card that I could use immediately. Of course, I used it right away to purchase a cardigan that I had been eyeing on their Instagram. Love this store so much!

I love Peppermint! Perfect place for gifts (for others but mostly myself) with a great selection of both fine and quirky items. I love the jewelry and all the Rochester themed apparel and home decor. The staff is always great and helpful. Such a great shop!

I love Peppermint. I have shopped here since they were at the Park Ave location, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Yes, some of the items are fairly pricey, but it’s so worth the price because you know you’re getting a quality piece of clothing all while supporting a small locally owned business.
The jewelry is so wonderful, too. They have these delicate chains with cute hand crafted charms, all the way up to big chunky statement pieces. There’s something for everyone here, and they’re always getting in new items so if you don’t see something you love, come back in a week or two and there will be something new. I’m also obsessed with the unicorn necklaces, the dinosaurs necklaces, and, of course, the pizza necklaces. The chains with these are so delicate and dainty, and yet they hold up so well while wearing them.
The owner also helps people personally by picking clothing items she thinks will compliment a person’s body type and style. She’s very hands on and will often try to pair jewelry with dresses or outfits. Not because she’s trying it up sell you, but because she truly wants others to walk out of the store with great, matching outfits for any occasion. She also offers FREE alteration services, and she’ll bend over backwards to make sure you’re completely happy with your purchase.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Great gifts here, especially if you're looking for something local themed. Amazing jewelry selection. Beautiful clothing, although none of it seemed suitable for larger bodies, however I also didn't inquire about size availability and assumed fitting rooms are closed.

Fantastic customer service and the store is curated lovely! Definitely one of the most diverse and inclusive boutiques in Rochester they support local artists by selling their prints in store or candles which are AMAZING!! and I love how some items such as the headbands are made by local refugees plus the fact that is run by a woc is badass!!! Definitely check it out if you live or visit Rochester. The girls there have excellent customer service and are so welcoming I will be for sure making a return :)

Peppermint is always on my go-to lists of places to look for a great gift or treat myself to some unique jewelry and apparel. I've purchased so many things from them over the years, and I'm impressed by how they keep inventory fresh and new. Beautiful store and space in the Culver Road Armory, love stopping in just to browse.

I went to college in Rochester and survived 5 glorious winters before I had the sense to go where the weather didn't want to kill me. In the decades since, I often tell friends, family, and new acquaintances about how grim and depressing Rochester was. Apparently, the NY Post did an article that accused the city of being grim, and I was offended! That said, a college buddy of mine found that this wonderful shop had a hilarious commemoration of the grim and depressing and shipped me a mug stating such. It was a fantastic, unique, individual type of gift that you can't find at any big box store! The world needs more shops like Peppermint with cool and different gifts like this!!

The best part is, they shipped the mug to me in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, my mail carrier moonlit on that old Chevy Chase movie (you know the one with the psychotic letter carrier) and the mug unfortunately arrived broken. I wrote a short email explaining what happened, and Lauren replied back within an hour! She didn't need much from me to get a replacement in the mail, again packed well but this time my mail carrier apparently was having a better day and it arrived in perfect condition in a couple days! Lauren made this already good transaction WONDERFUL!! Thank you so much, and be healthy!!

Just went to Other Half today for my first time and saw peppermint was there! I love the shop on culver so of course I checked out the truck and I must say the staff is absolutely fantastic! I left with a beautiful jumper and I was pleasantly surprised that the truck has clothes the shop doesn’t! Now every time I see the truck I will make sure I checkout all the goods. Keep being awesome & support local!

I 💗 their inventory, people , and any place that has their dogs as the official greeters are my kind of people. Exquisite, vintage, funky/beautiful patterns, and styles that are quality and versatile for women's body types. Best place to to treat yourself, friends, and loves ones. Great place to buy gifts that have depth. They have two locations: Culver& Park Ave, but Culver is my hub base. I can't wait to check them out on Park 😊- Nicky Hoodlet

I go to this store quite frequently with my friends and family and we all love it! Staff is welcoming and friendly. Adorable clothes and jewelry. Also great ROC souvenirs if you are from out of town — or even if you live here!!

i love this store. its got all one of a kind creations that are locally made, and everything has exceptional style and quality. the shop is small but packs a punch of character even if you dont plan to buy anything its definitely worth checking out just for their beautiful window dressings and the cute dog that frequents there. everything is reasonably priced and beautifully designed if youre visiting the area or even if you're a local its a great place to find unique styles that nobody else will have. i highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for some accessories, shoes, or outfits to spice up your wardrobe

Great clothes with an eclectic feel, fun locally made arts, crafts and jewelry as well. A fun staff and an inspirational owner. Check them out in Rochester fashion week!

Lovely women's boutique with a small gift and homewere section. Clothes are really cute, also accessories to complete a look! Staff is very friendly and willing to bring other sizes, styles, etc.

I shop almost exclusively at Peppermint for my clothing. Every time I walk in, Tanvi or the girls know exactly what would look good on me and pull those out for me to try on. Many times, they are outfits I would second guess otherwise, until I see them on. Tanvi has an amazing eye, always designs really fun and interesting clothing, and always brings in a fun touch. Not to mention, Peppermint supports other local designers, has a rocking home section with tons of fun Rochester gear, and a little swearing for good measure :) . I seriously love this place so much.

For someone who does not shop for fashion for myself, Peppermint is amazing for me to find jewelry & gifts for my loved ones, other fun / locally created art & nicknacks and things like that. Great environment, super helpful staff and an overall great time!
