We had Washington Marble and Granite install new countertops in our kitchen, in-law kitchenette, and bathroom vanity as well as wet pieces for the in-law bathroom. From the beginning in the showroom, to scheduling/ordering, to installation we were extraordinarily impressed. Mike, our project manager, was extremely knowledgeable and helped our vision come to life. He guided us through all options and helped us pick the best material for our project while remaining in our budget. Installation was quick and now I get to cook on the most gorgeous countertops! I highly recommend Washington Marble and Granite in Ijamsville Maryland if you are considering a remodeling project. I researched and visited many granite companies in and around Montgomery County and by far they offered the best price and selection. Molly and Mike were so great to work with and treated me with kindness, and went out of their way to accommodate me and delivered and installed the most beautiful finished product. They helped me with the decision and I relied on their expertise, and felt they were looking out for my best interest, and not just trying to make a sale. The installation team really knows their stuff and my kitchen and completed basement look straight out of a showroom. The installers are highly skilled and detailed with the granite installation, and very knowledgeable about the best layout. It is worth the drive to Ijamsville to check out their selection and more importantly I felt they put me first and delivered an amazing and beautiful finished product. It was a great experience working with Mollie and Mike to choose the new countertop for my kitchen renovation. They were helpful and listened carefully to what I wanted.
I was able to choose a beautiful granite stone, and worked with Mollie on a computer simulation to position it just right in the kitchen. The installation was completed really nicely, and they were kind enough to make me two cutting boards from the small amount of stone left over.
I am thrilled with the result. The granite is simply gorgeous.
It makes every minute in the kitchen a real pleasure and is a stunning addition to the home.

I’ve just replaced my countertops with Washington Marble and Granite and could not be more pleased. I worked with Teri Yanoski over a period of several months. She very patiently worked with me and gave me samples as I tried to figure out what kind of countertop would work best for me. When I finally decided on natural stone quartzite, she helped me find the best source and made the arrangements to get it to their shop for fabrication. She asked me great questions and made fantastic suggestions about how the stone should be cut to show off its best features, and tipped me off about what I would need for installing a very heavy cast iron/porcelain undermount sink. The installation team was incredible and the finished countertop is just perfect. Best group of craftspeople I have ever worked with. Good people. And everyone stayed on schedule, with good prices. Never thought I could say this, but it was an enjoyable experience, start to finish.

It has been a year and a half since Washington Marble and Granite installed our new kitchen counter tops. They are still like new! Teri Yanoski was the sales associate I worked with and she was great. Installation was done on time and incident free. I highly recommend Washington Marble & Granite.

We chose Washington Marble to do our kitchen granite countertops based on another contractor's recommendation. I would choose them again. They had a good selection and were able to order what we wanted. Their fabrication team was knowledgeable and neat doing their onsite work. The stone quality was excellent and the installed granite pieces were flawless. Our kitchen included 3 granite countertops, one of which was large enough (~30 square feet) that it required two pieces of stone. Additionally, they provided a design for a mini-shelf, and the pieces they produced look perfect. They were able to make everything fit beautifully even though our walls were not square. They used a laser measuring system to help do this.
They coordinated with the cabinet installer to make sure that the sink fit in the base properly. My only nit is that the epoxy solvent/adhesive used for a seam was pretty smelly. We had to air out the room for a several hours during and after installation. But the result was excellent. Throughout the process, they stayed in touch and kept us appraised of their schedule, and they were responsive (same day/ next day) to emails and phone calls. At the time our job was done, the lead time between measuring and installation was 2 weeks.

Washington Marble & Granite (Ijamsville, MD) just completed a full upgrade of the long existing countertops (Formica) in my home’s (Gaithersburg) kitchen. I thought the company's project planners and installers did a superb job – with obvious attention to all the details of measuring and fitting the several granite slabs involved. They were quite personable and very willing to respond to all my questions as the planning and installation proceeded. As installed, the color and patterns of the selected granite surface work very well with the light and existing surrounds of my kitchen -- very much what I was looking for. Any homeowner having recently pursued a similar project knows there are wide varieties of counter materials, colors, patterns, and sinks to consider. I much appreciated the continued discussion and recommendations received (over more than a month) from company sales staff (Teri) as I worked through the options and finally made my selections. I clearly made an excellent choice to go with Washington Marble & Granite on this project.

I selected a new quartz countertops with a shiny new sink, and a beautiful wood island top. Everything came out beautifully. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend them!

Val and Juan came for the install and were respectful and courteous taking their time to remove the other granite. We just worked with Washington Granite & Marble for fabrication and installation of our new fireplace hearth. It's a large hearth, about 14 feet x 2 feet and we were looking for a particular color of leathered stone. Mollie was really great to work with, she went above and beyond finding several options on site and from their local suppliers inventory. I had visited many granite suppliers in the local area before I found WM & G and none of the others were as proactive as Mollie in helping us find exactly what we were looking for. WM & G and their supplier of our quartzite were both wonderful to work with - would highly recommend them!
