I bought brake line parts for my 2007 Toyota Tundra from another auto parts store. Unfortunately they sold me brake line nuts that did not fit the flexible line I also purchased from them. I took the parts back to that store and they determined the parts were not consistent but they did not have the correct nuts for the flexible lines I needed.

I stopped at a second auto parts store looking for the correct brake line nuts but they did not have them in stock too.

Finally I went to Smyth Automotive on US42 in West Chester. A man named Jim at their service counter helped me. He immediately knew what I needed and had the parts in stock. Talking to me about the brake job I was doing, he suggested a compression fitting that used elsewhere for this work. This fitting requires no flaring of the brake line, which is super helpful given the location on the truck where it’s needed.

I was so grateful of Jim’s help and knowledge that I thanked him. He said he’s been doing this work for 51 years and you could definitely tell. I will be going back to Smyth Automotive for all my parts needs!

They always treat me right. Never have any complaints + if they do me wrong by giving me the wrong part they make it right like they should unlike a lot of other places I will not name places LOL.

I always have good customer service here. The guys who work here are really smart and helpful. I also like how they can get almost any part in just a few hours if they don't have it. Also their prices are consistently lower than the other guys. I always stop at Smyth first.

Their machine shop had a stuck bolt out of a thermostat housing within 5 hours. Being an aluminum part, they did nothing to damage the threading, 5 stars easy.

Just went in on a whim looking for a hard to find alternator bolt. I looked at 4 other automotive and hardware stores with no luck.

They have an amazing selection of everything, and way cheaper than the big name part stores. The service was excellent and they even fixed my bolt for me! I will never go anywhere else for my automotive needs. Do yourself a favor and save the money and time and take it to Smyth.

The employee literally took a tool out of the package and store to check if it would work for my (cousin's) vehicle. My uncle was extremely pleased with both the service and the purchase, which was twice as many bits and about $6 less than AutoZone charged.

Lots of smart guys here! Very friendly and very helpful, also they seem to have nearly every part in stock! And a wide variety of parts as well; mechanical, electrical, bodywork, cleaning, detailing, etc. You name it, they'll probably have it. The parts I've bought here have been keeping my car (1993 Honda Accord LX Wagon) and mopeds running like new. If the part isn't in stock they'll have it shipped from another one of their local stores by the end of the day. I highly recommend this place.
