Located on old 395 halfway between Reno and Carson City, and a little off the beaten path, this is truly nugget to behold. First started in the Midwest years ago, and opened their first Nevada location in Washoe Valley in 1983.
As soon as you step through the door, you are greeted by friendly staff who have an offering of a variety of samples. If you’re a chocolate lover, this place can put you in a coma. All of their chocolates and candies are made and their own factory just outside of Carson City. I’ve never had chocolate that taste so smooth literally melt in your mouth. Not over sweet but just enough to tantalize your taste buds. There is a huge assortment of chocolates, peanut butter, salt, water, taffy, and etc. they have an ice cream counter, where they happily scoop you up Your favorite flavor into a waffle cone.
The staff here is so friendly they make you feel like family. Speaking of family this is a family owned and run business. Exactly the type of businesses that are the backbone of our economy.

I was excited that it still open! It has been years the last time I was here. The taffy is still delicious the best ever! The fudge was ok it might have been dark chocolate not sure. I brought chocolate out of the baskets they were delicious! Definitely will return!🍫🍬🍫

We stopped by accident when heading for Carson city from Reno. Lots of history inside and the shopkeeper was very nice and passionate about her family factory and the products. I bought more items than my kid and was asked by my kid to not buy any more. If you have time to stop by during your trip, this may be the place to find your childhood fun…

This place has been around forever. When you go inside, it feels like you've stepped back in time. The fudge is amazing, thr candy selection is vast, and they always have their traditional rock candy. A must see for tourists and locals alike.

Nostalgic place. Best to bring children and also best place to buy gifts while supporting local business shops. I love this candy factory. The ladies were very nice and welcoming. All smiles when you enter this place. Highly recommended!

Truly a wonderful store of sweets. They have so many one of a kind creations and the service family. I was treated so well. I visited this store with my family about 10 years prior. I shared my story and not only was I thanked for coming back but treated to some amazing samples of delicious treats I never knew existed. I do not live in Reno but when I am here, this is my #1 stop. By the way the coconut brittle was my favorite.

Super friendly and nice especially to our granddaughter. The store has little shopping carts for the kids and a hopscotch right at the front door. It was nice to know our little one was so welcomed. The outside decor was fantastic and rustic.

A must for dark chocolate lovers! Dark chocolate malt balls, chocolate buffalo chips and dark chocolate orange peels! They are heavenly! 😋

Ive been stopping here for 30 years, but tried the peanut brittle yesterday for the first time, and I should have bought a dozen bags.Yum! So light and crisp, not at all like other peanut brittle i have had.

We bought salt water taffy, rock candy and these little 'honey bees' candies that tastes slightly of flowers and were filled with honey. A delicious surprise!

Go out back and take a photo with the old prospector. PLEASE don't climb on or damage him. We don't want a fence around him.

Best part of our trip! We stopped by 2 weeks ago and enjoyed our bag at of goodies on the road trip home. But today we cracked into the chocolate bar and dipped in peanut butter! So good!!!!!!

Fabulous chocolates but you pay for them. Walked out $50 poorer with a small bag of really good chocolates. The freeze dried skittles need to be tried as a they are as fabulous as the fudge.

We popped in here to grab some truffles, wonderful handmade chocolates andd they tempted us with their March Special of buy 2 bags of Stout Beer Brittle and get an Irish Potato for FREE which is a whipped white chocolate with pecans covered with cocoa powder anddd cinnamon ~ yummyyy...yep we were IN!! We filled up our lil hand basket with sooo MUCH incredible chocolate yummilicious goodness that to say our sweet tooth was satisified was an understatement.

Staff is knowledgeable, super friendly and helpful with not only immediately greeting you as you walk in the door with a sample of their yummy brittle and fudge but will show you around to help with whatever you are looking for anddd share the history of the Chocolate Nugget. WE definitely plan to return when my hubby is ready to replinish his hidden chocolate stash again, so we can grab some more of these delightful chocolate nuggets. Of course bring our granddaughter by for an ice cream cone as the weather continues to warm up or grab a Root Beer Float...OMGoodness now I want a float LOL better turn back for one now...Hey Google, where is the next exit in Washoe Valley, we need to go back for a...

It was my first visit. The place was filled with all kinds of goodies, that made it hard to choose what to try. The staff was very friendly, and the place was nice and clean. LOVED IT.

Bought 8 ounces of chocolate. I couldn't stop eating them but made it last a week. Very good, milky and creamy in a few I picked. Definitely would go back to try out some other ones.

A large, tall sign and distinctive blue roof point to this sweet spot. The staff has always been super nice when I've stopped here. I like their milk chocolate products and they also have several dark chocolate items as well as some white chocolate. Other candies and ice cream are available. The milk chocolate peanut clusters and the peanut brittle, both pictured, are great. They also have a very large selection of good taffy.

Love this place. Haven't been there since I was a little kid. The ladies working there were so incredibly nice.

This eclectic lil candy shop takes you back to your childhood. Amazing homemade fudge and ice creams and candies. A must stop in when in the area.
