The Bookmatters Bookstore

The Bookmatters is a wonderfully quaint bookstore with incredibly helpful staff and a wide variety of books and topics. I was able to find books on all of my interests, from cookbooks to self help to a wonderful book about fungi - something I never would have found or picked up for myself had the staff not been helpful and thoughtful in their recommendations. A special shoutout to Isa and Bailey on staff, who were super helpful and intentional with their recommendations. I only wished I lived in town - I always see fun after hours events and book clubs I wish I could attend! They offer the kind of community I yearned to find in my 20s!

This bookstore is such a special place. You can tell how much love and care is put into the selection of books. It doesn’t matter if you’re a casual reader, a non-fiction lover, or a kiddo looking for a bed time story, they have something for you! Also, if you are ever looking for something to do they are always hosting fun and creative events! I can’t say enough about the staff, they are all so welcoming and kind.

This is my favorite local independent bookstore. Their selection of books is amazing and all the women who work there are genuinely SO kind and welcoming. They've created an inclusive atmosphere for all and I just love what they've done for the community. I highly recommend this bookstore to anyone in the Cincinnati area <3

Excellent spot in Old Milford. Kind/helpful staff, with a good selection of books and regional items like Candles. Cozy, and a cool place to checkout with kids.

A lovely, cozy bookstore experience! The staff go above and beyond to answer questions and provide recommendations. The Bookmatters has so many excellent events for folks of all ages as well. The environment is very welcoming and the book selection is incredible! I would recommend The Bookmatters to anyone who is looking for a fun book buying experience!

After first discovering The Bookmatters just a few months after they opened, I have adored the atmosphere that this store brings to their community ever since. Fostering a presence of inclusivity for all members of their community is seen widely through the care and dedication that the Bookmatters puts into their book clubs, kids story times and so much more. A wonderful addition to Main Street in Milford, The Bookmatters is a warm, welcoming little shop staffed by wonderfully helpful people. With regular, unique events this store has quickly become a staple in our community. For lovers of literature and people looking for an inclusive, safe space they are number one in my book.

Such a wonderful little bookstore! The staff here is nothing short of exceptional. They are constantly going above and beyond to bring quality and inclusive events to their community! Instead of leaving baseless reviews and harassing the store staff those upset by a children’s story time could possibly find their time used more efficiently by reading a book or touching grass.

Bookmatters is an absolutely incredible bookstore. Fantastic selection, cozy and welcoming vibe, and a genuine care for the customer that permeates their workers, their services, and everything that they do. I could not recommend this place more!

An amazing store that brightens up Main Street. The staff is incredibly thoughtful and helpful in their recommendations and everytime I leave the bookmatters, I know I’m leaving with book(s) that I’ll love reading. A very diverse selection of books that genuinely feels handcrafted. Downtown Milford is a better place with the bookmatters there.

If I could give The Bookmatters 6-stars, I would. Their staff is beyond wonderful and all of them have such an extensive knowledge about books. I feel like family every time I go there for my next read❤
