Half Price Books

Actually an incredible book store!!! I found SO many books, and the prices were unbeatable — I got brand new books for $2 and $3, which I had seen at Barnes and Noble for $10-20. The genres are also well-organized, so things are easy to find. The collection is massive — everything from novels to antiques to textbooks — and there’s a cool collection of stationary/games/puzzles too. This is a must-visit for any book lovers in Houston.

Wide selection of books and prices are very fair. Kids books you gotta get in there to find what your looking for. So my 4 & 6 year olds and I got down on the floor to find our Magic School Bus and Fancy Nancy books. No problem I'll do it again any day of the week.

Great place to buy and sell books! They also have lots of other cool stuff (music, games, art supplies, etc.) This particular store is pretty well kept and organized. The people who work here are also very nice and helpful. Check it out if you ever get a chance. If you’re like me, you could also just chill and have a seat on the chairs located at the front of the store while you’re gf spends hours looking through books 😅

Came after avoiding for months. Completely different experience greeted upon entering a clean well organized place helpful staff. Recommended.

I love this location. They always have the books I am looking for and some. The clearance section is always filled with good selection. I just don't like construction going on right now in the area, but overall, great!

It's my first time in such a store and it's really worth visiting when you need any kind of books for your kids or yourself. We found a bunch of story books for our child at really, really great prices. Highly recommend to all parents!

Good varied selection of books and items, from games to even disks they've got a lot of interesting things you can check out. Prices of course are very reasonable and cheap. Customer service was also quick and easygoing.

There's always something of note or interest when I get the chance to stop by. Whether it is another cookbook I've always wanted, some classic or work of fiction I've wanted to read for years or the nostalgia of the 80's and 90's CD's. If I had a knock on the place it would be the price of Blu-ray disks, often I find them online cheaper even with shipping. Otherwise this is one of my favorite places to visit quite often.

This store is a gem. I love exploring, perusing, and almost always end up getting something. Extremely friendly staff, plenty of selection, and pretty well organized. It’s hard to imagine someone disliking this place. Book worms and readers will love this store!

Always love coming to HPB!! Wish there were more in the Houston area. They have a great selection of all kinds of physical media and the store has a cozy vibe.

I am collecting vinyl records again. They have a good selection. I believe there's a 1 week warranty in case the record is scratched, you can return it.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem last month. I feel like I was transported back into the 90s when I enter their store. What a great feeling, and I like the price of the books, too.

We visit this Half Price Books often. There’s ample parking here. And its location is good when running errands as it’s close to many shops that we frequent. This one is huge and offers a good selection of books and other items. Workers are friendly and helpful. They also have a big clearance section in the back. We’ve also bought t-shirts here too as they occasionally put them on clearance. Tip: Check them even while they’re hanging on the clothes rack as they keep them there even when on clearance.

We are ruined for all other bookstores!! We love stopping by this bookstore when we come to Sprouts since it is right next door. We head straight for the clearance section where you will find items beginning at 99c . this store also has all the books at 1/2 off publishers price and gifts for everyone you know!

Technically this was the Half Price Books on Westheimer and Kirkwood, I love this new location bus it is much bigger than the old one, but the staff are still as nice and helpful. What I love about Half Price Books is that you can sell your old books, CDs, DVDs, comics, boardgames, to them and they will make an offer the same day and you will get cash not store credit. The price is definitely less than MSRP. Sometimes you can find some hidden gems. They also have vinyl records for sale.

Great little store, and it always has new stuff. Theromostat is a little high for my NY sensitivities, but staff us great art books, scifi, d&d (in and out quickly) and comics all are there along with a lot of dvds and other topics

Great new location. Books organized and easy to find due to designated genre. Comfortable and friendly environment.

If they don't have what you need, they'll get on the phone, find it at another store and hold it for you. Old-school, personal service that absolutely makes a difference!

Great Bookstore! Great selection. Lots to look at !! And you can't beat the prices!!! I have purchased several New books here .
